THE PROPHET MOSES AND THE MOTHER TONGUE by Mousa Mohamed Pdf

I wrote this book heartily, truthfully, and faithfully to meet the approval of the Most Holy God. Therefore, I thought carefully about what I wrote and did more searching, scrutiny, and investigation until my work reached a degree of perfection that God loves. Knowing that God loves a person who does his work in the best way, I mean those who skillfully perform their works. This book is not exactly as the title describes, purely linguistically or religiously, but rather it inspires contemplation and reflection. Nay, therein it many experiences had drawn from literature books, dripped from the depth of history, scented of poems flower, and quoted from nature. Nevertheless, the title of the book is the fruit of the report that you will pick after walking around the gardens of various sciences. This book looks like an ancient, towering, ripe, and lucrative tree; its trunk is strong, its leaves are bright green, its fruit is sweet and delicious. An invisible caller may cheer you and say, “Obtain this book because it is a favorite. It is not like crafty lightning which promises you to rain and then his soldiers pull the trails of defeat out silently without tears. You will not be like a bird flying in the sky, and when looking at its shadow, thinks it is hunting then pounces upon it, so found nothing. I will not leave you in a desolate desert-like astray which the thirst reaches the maximum, then while he saw a charming rill from far, he found the mirage at approaching. Rather, you will be as though on an atrophic hasty horse, wandering with you among the fresh gardens of science and knowledge, and jumping between the barriers of history. Then you could smell the fragrance of juncture or age. In the end, I would tell you that this book is like a near water well whose buckets are close to those who come.

The Sacred Writings of Gregory of Nyssa (Annotated Edition) by Gregory of Nyssa Pdf

"The Sacred Writings Of ..." provides you with the essential works among the Early Christian writings. The volumes cover the beginning of Christianity until before the promulgation of the Nicene Creed at the First Council of Nicaea. This volume is accurately annotated, including * an extensive biography of the author and his life Gregory of Nyssa (c. 335 – c. 395) (also known as Gregory Nyssen) was bishop of Nyssa from 372 to 376, and from 378 until his death. He is venerated as a saint in Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy, Lutheranism and Anglicanism. Gregory, his brother Basil of Caesarea and Gregory of Nazianzus are collectively known as the Cappadocian Fathers Gregory lacked the administrative ability of his brother Basil, or the contemporary influence of Gregory of Nazianzus, but was an erudite theologian who made significant contributions to the doctrine of the Trinity and the Nicene creed. Gregory's philosophical writings were influenced by Origen, and he is generally considered to have believed in universal salvation. Since the mid-twentieth century, there has been a significant increase in interest in Gregory's works from the academic community, which has resulted in challenges to many traditional interpretations of his theology. The Triumph of Grace by Daniel I. Block Pdf

The Apostle Paul’s negative statements about the law have deafened the ears of many to the grace that Moses proclaims in Deuteronomy. Most Christians have a dim view of this book, which they consider to be primarily a book of laws. However, when we read or hear it read orally without prejudice, we discover that rather than casting Moses as a legislator, he appears as Israel’s first pastor, whose congregation has gathered before him to hear him preach his final sermons. Accordingly, Deuteronomy represents prophetic preaching at its finest, as Moses seeks to inspire the people of God to a life of faith and godliness in response to God’s repeated demonstrations of grace. Deuteronomy is a dead book for many, because we have not recognized this gospel; we have heard only law. The essays in this collection arise from a larger project driven by a passion to recover for Christians the life-giving message of the Hebrew Scriptures in general, and to open their ears to God’s amazing grace in Deuteronomy in particular. The wide-ranging “meditations” in this volume do not all focus equally on the topic of God’s grace, but this theme undergirds them all.

Loving Our Own Bones by Julia Watts Belser Pdf

A transformative spiritual companion and deep dive into disability politics that reimagines disability in the Bible and contemporary culture A 2024 National Jewish Book Award winner and essential read on disability, spirituality, and social justice “What’s wrong with you?” Scholar, activist, and rabbi Julia Watts Belser is all too familiar with this question. What’s wrong isn’t her wheelchair, though—it’s exclusion, objectification, pity, and disdain. Our attitudes about disability have such deep cultural roots that we almost forget their sources. But open the Bible and disability is everywhere. Moses believes his stutter renders him unable to answer God’s call. Jacob’s encounter with an angel leaves him changed not just spiritually but physically: he gains a limp. For centuries, these stories have been told and retold in ways that treat disability as a metaphor for spiritual incapacity or as a challenge to be overcome. Through fresh and unexpected readings of the Bible, Loving Our Own Bones instead paints a luminous portrait of what it means to be disabled and one of God’s beloved. Belser delves deep into sacred literature, braiding the insights of disabled, feminist, Black, and queer thinkers with her own experiences as a queer disabled Jewish feminist. She talks back to biblical commentators who traffic in disability stigma and shame. What unfolds is a profound gift of disability wisdom, a radical act of spiritual imagination that can guide us all toward a powerful reckoning with each other and with our bodies. Loving Our Own Bones invites readers to claim the power and promise of spiritual dissent, and to nourish their own souls through the revolutionary art of radical self-love.
