The Inborn Saint by Fida Hussain Pdf

Love is what even the tinest thing reflects.I stay witness that the dark candles with flame shimmering fetch me the message of love and there , involuntarily ; the armies of hatred do surrender. Thus for me hatred gets placeless. The collection of poetry that I here put forth is what I meet after making an immortal bond with my Master. His honour and melodious love teaches me the lesson of life not through words but through the fruits of heaven that flow and surround his nobility. A soft wave of that flow kisses this soul too which now takes the shape of pearls, coming from the very owner of the garden. A tree, when hit by a strong wind, sings the song of the wind dances and bows down showing honor for and might of the guest.Every single verse does have the fragrance of his majesty. The collected insight nowhere exists outside but ,once the bird travels to find its nest,it does not care wether it flies or not .Some times through the long flying walk it dies many times and many times it stands in the middle of nowhere. It falls unknown in solitude where what happens- streams down through the language of eyes and hands in the form of love.

Bees and Their Keepers by Lotte Möller Pdf

In the tradition of Lars Mytting’s Norwegian Wood, a beautifully illustrated chronicle of a year in the life of a beekeeper from Swedish author Lotte Möller The study of bees has often been considered a divine occupation, as the creature’s attention to detail and purpose is so special, and the honey they produce almost magical. In this compelling cultural history that moves beautifully through the beekeeper’s year, Swedish beekeeper and writer Lotte Möller shares her understanding of bees and bee lore from antiquity to the present with deep knowledge and sharp wit. Möller gives insight into the activity in the hive and describes the bees’ natural order and habits. She explores the myths of the past, and how and when they were replaced by fact. In stories from her travels, Möller encounters a host of colorful characters, from a trigger-happy California beekeeper raging against both killer bees and bee politics, to the legendary Brother Adam of Buckfast Abbey, breeder of the Buckfast Queen, now popular around the world. Filled with bee illustrations buzzing from cover to endpaper, Bees and Their Keepers is a gorgeous book for the beekeeper and general reader alike.

Butler's Lives of the Saints by Bernard Bangley Pdf

There is no greater authority on the saints than Alban Butler, and his enormous research has been the standard reference on the subject for the last two and a half centuries. This new adaptation of Butler's multi-volume Lives of the Saints presents a modernized text for today's reader and provides an illuminating guide to these historic, symbolic, and foundational Christian men and women. Butler's daily readings from the lives and works of the saints offer readers of all backgrounds the opportunity to engage directly with these great figures. Butler's distinctive contribution to stories about saints was to turn attention away from the superhuman, miraculous themes that are prevalent in earlier works. He gives us saints who are examples of Christian living, who provide inspiration for our own lives, in every time and circumstance. As Butler writes: "They were once what we are now, travelers on earth. They had the same weaknesses we have. We have difficulties; so had the saints." Important features of this version include mention of recently canonized saints as well as those whose path to official sainthood is still in progress. Also included in the daily readings are more obscure saints whose lives and contributions to Christianity should not be forgotten.

Saint Ambrose by M. M. Ninan Pdf

Saint Ambrose is exactly represented by the bees. It is said that when he was a baby a swarm of bees covered his face. They flew in and out of his mouth, leaving honey on his tongue. Soon they flew away so high that they could no longer be seen. Since then he was a smooth talker so that even his enemies could not be angry with him. He is still known as the "Honey-Tongued Doctor," a pun on the saint's name (the word for honey in Latin is ambrosia); his preaching was said to be mellifluous, as sweet as flowing honey. "He was one of those," says St. Augustine, "who speak the truth, and speak it well, judiciously, pointedly, and with beauty and power of expression" (De doct. christ., iv,21).Like the honey bee, he will stand on his principles even against the emperors of his time. Can you imagine a bishop excommunicating the Emperor?. Finally he in actuality brought the emperor to his knees for forgiveness. Remember a generation ago, these emperors were feeding the Christians to the lions for fun. But it was all accomplished by the tongue. Ambrose wrote to the emperor: "I exhort, I beg, I entreat, I admonish you, because it is grief to me that the perishing of so many innocent is no grief to you," he wrote. "And now I call on you to repent." He forbade the emperor to attend worship until he prostrated himself at the altar. In the end the emperor died in the arms of this bishop. He was a voracious reader, with the uncanny ability to read with his mouth shut - a skill which was rare in those days of rarity of books. His wisdom and understanding is evidently seen in his volumes of writings - at a time when typewriters and computers were unknown. Probably early doctrines of Christianity were formed along with the rituals and chantings started with this genius. No wonder he is given the title of the Doctor of the Church by the Catholic Church.
