The Book on Mediums by Allan Kardec Pdf

A companion to his first book, The Spirits' Guide, The Book on Mediums explains how to apply Allan Kardec's principles of his practical science of spiritism in order to become a medium. His aim is to teach interested readers, those who believe in the existence of the spirit world, and people with a strong desire to communicate with the dead how to cultivate their sensitivity to the paranormal. It is a serious undertaking, and Kardec warns his reader to approach the subject with a scholarly mind and pure intentions. For those who are willing, there is a whole new world just waiting to be experienced. French scholar HIPPOLYTE LEON DENIZARD RIVAIL (1804-1869), aka Allan Kardec, was a longtime teacher of mathematics, astronomy, and other scientific disciplines before turning to the paranormal. He founded the Parisian Society of Psychologic Studies, and founded and edited the monthly magazine La Revue Spirite, Journal of Psychologic Studies. He is also the author of The Gospel as Explained by Spirits (1864).

The Spirit's Book by Anonim Pdf

The Spirits' Book (Le Livre des Esprits in original French) is part of the Spiritist Codification, and is regarded as one of the five fundamental works of Spiritism. It was published by the French educator Allan Kardec on April 18, 1857. It was the first and remains the most important spiritist book, because it addresses in first hand all questions developed subsequently by Allan Kardec. The book is structured as a collection of questions regarding the origin of the spirits, the purpose of the life, the order of the universe, evil and good and the afterlife. Its answers, according to Kardec, were given to him by a group of spirits who identified themselves as "The Spirit of Truth", with whom he communicated in several Spiritist sessions during the 1850s. Kardec, who considered himself an "organizer" rather than an author, grouped the questions and their answers by theme, occasionally including lengthier digressions the spirits had dictated to him on specific subjects, some signed by philosophers such as Augustine of Hippo and Thomas Aquinas and writers including Voltaire. Allan Kardec is the pen name of the French teacher and educator Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail. He was born in Lyon in 1804. He was raised as a Catholic. He was a disciple and collaborator of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, and a teacher of mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, physiology, comparative anatomy and French in Paris. For one of his research papers, he was inducted in 1831 into the Royal Academy of Arras.

How We Are Guided by Spirits by Brian Foster Pdf

The series of three books I have written; analyzing and expanding the communications from various groups of spirits to the Rev. G. Vale Owen, are for the express purpose of explaining the reality - the organization, the process, the environment, the progression of spirits, the work, the daily life - of Heaven and the realms below to provide for those interested an understanding of why we are on earth, in our present physical form, and what is waiting for us when our dense shell is cast off and we return to the real world ... the spirit world. How we are Guided by Spirits - Book 3 of Spiritism as Revealed to an Anglican Vicar -Book 3 covers communications that pertain to three main themes: 1. Guiding humans on earth 2. Spirit assistance 3. The future of earth Book 3 illustrates the ground game of the spirit world. Via the messages of multiple spirits to the Rev. G. Vale Owen we are presented examples of how the spirit realm above us peers down upon their unruly students. The process of tracking and modifying behavior on an individual and a collective basis is revealed. Even the broader direction of human society in the future is posted for all to see.

What is Spiritism? by Allan Kardec Pdf

"A work that is still up-to-date, What is Spiritism? is useful for adherents of the Spiritist Doctrine as well as for those who want to understand the nature of Spiritism and its fundamental points. Kardec's logic and common sense are obvious in this book as he confounds Spiritism's detractors while answering the questions of those who believe in and aspire to a superior life. The book is divided into three chapters. The first is composed of dialogues between Kardec and a critic, a skeptic and a priest, providing answers to those who do not understand the basic principles of Spiritism. It also presents appropriate refutations to its opponents. The second chapter presents practical and experimental aspects of the science and is a kind of summary of The Mediums' Book. The third chapter is a short synthesis of The Spirits' Book, with solutions to psychological, moral and philosophical problems according to the Spiritist Doctrine. In addition, the book is prefaced with an abridged version of Henri Sausse's biography of Allan Kardec."--

Spiritism - Everything Is Connected by Brian Foster Pdf

Spiritism ties everything together. It reveals our purpose, our beginnings, our end goal, and the scope of the organization behind it all. Spiritism tells us there are no miracles ... only phenomena that we don't yet understand. That miraculous healing, vision of spirits, near death experiences, and glimpses of the future are all entirely possible given our place in the spirit realm. The spirit realm is dedicated to bring vital messages to us, not via organized religion, which had the tendency to withhold knowledge for their own gain - but to each individual so he or she could determine what path in life they would follow. We must each determine for ourselves whether we continue on to be mere consumers or to learn to balance our spiritual and material needs, so someday we may ascend up and out of the sphere of continual incarnations and a harsh learning environment - to become a pure spirit and a contributor to the spirit universe.

The Spirit World by Clarence Larkin Pdf

In this day of the revival of “Spiritism,” when no many, through the loss of loved ones in the “Great World War,” are longing to communicate with the dead, and are sorting to forbidden means to that end; a day in which science is trying to discover whether there is another world than this, and whether men live after death, and if so they can they communicate with the living, it seems timely that a book should be written to show what the Holy Scriptures have revealed of the “World of Spirits.” The Bible has much to say about the “Spirit World,” and if we will carefully search its pages we shall know all there is to be known in this life of the “World to Come.” For if men will not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded though one rose or came back from the dead. Luk 16:31. This book covers all phases of the “Spirit World.” It treats of the “Powers of Good and Evil,” of “The Under-world,” of “Satan,” the “Fallen Angels,” “Demonism,” the “Intermediate State,” and of Heaven and Hell, as well as the “Resurrection of the Body,” and the “Judgments” of the Righteous and Wicked. The prayer of the Author is that the Holy Spirit will use the book to free those who are entrapped in the net of “Spiritism,” and cause the curious and sorrowing to turn to the “Word of God” for help, and the answer to their questioning. This classic includes the following chapters: I. The Spirit World II. The Tri-Unity of God III. Satan IV. The Fallen Angels V. Demonism VI. The Underworld VII. The Spirits in Prison VIII. Natural Law in the Spirit World IX. The Relation of the Spirit World to the Natural World X. Man’s Relation to the Spirit-World XI. Soul Sleep XII. The Intermediate State XIII. Recognition and Relationship in the Spirit World XIV. The Final State XV. The Abolition of Death XVI. Spirit Transformation XVII. The Resurrection XVIII. The Resurrection Body XIX. The Judgments

The Spirit Realm by Brian Foster Pdf

This book is a survey of what I have learned via reading books psychographed by Spiritist mediums, other mediums, observing during Spiritist medium's meetings, receiving messages from spirits and talking to other Spiritists. This book is not meant as a documented exhaustive study of all available materials from the other side. In my other books, I quote from spirit sources and explain what was told to us via Spiritist mediums. In my accumulation of fourteen books, I have written to date, I have usually adopted the process of quoting a pertinent message and then expounding and expanding upon it, with other spirit sources and my analysis. All with a bibliography and footnotes. In this book I shall take a more informal approach. It shall be more of a survey and explanation about the spirit realm I place before you. A conversation backed by years of study and research, but nevertheless, largely my own opinion, after sifting through a myriad of sources and experiences. The Spirit Realm - Spiritism has Revealed the Reality of Our Existence is divided into four sections:1.The Organization of the Universes2.The Residents of the Universes3.Spiritual Ascension4.The FutureI do not pretend that I am accurate. I believe I am directionally correct, and only that. We are so immature, spiritually young, and generally ungifted that we are incapable of real understanding of the spirit realm. But this does not stop me from offering my own thoughts of what I believe is the certainty of our existence. The true reality in which we live, die, and live again for eternity, until we no longer need to incarnate in a physical body, is far beyond what most of us can imagine. The laws of physics mostly do not apply. The concept of time and distance are altered, and the landscape itself reacts to directives from high spirits and collective thoughts. Spirits are logical constructs, who for training purposes inhabit temporary physical bodies in order to learn required and valuable lessons to alter their personalities for the better. All of this sounds beyond the realm of plausibility. But, as the spirit universes unfold, the logic becomes apparent and our place within it fully explains the chaos and inequalities of our planet and of our ups and downs of our life. With understanding and knowledge comes wisdom and tranquility. Once you start the journey of discovery of who you truly are and the real worlds you shall exist in, a doorway of light opens and begs you to step in to feel the love that surrounds you during your ascent to become a pure spirit.

Heaven and Below by Brian Foster Pdf

This book covers communications that pertain to three main themes: - Life in heaven - Lower regions - Appearances of Jesus in the spirit realm Many religions offer pictures of life after our spirit leaves our physical body. Most descriptions are hazy and prone to numerous interpretations. Spiritism, via communication from spirits who have been selected by high-level spirits, supplies us will real and actionable knowledge. Revelations in Spiritist literature presents an exciting picture of the bands of heaven and life therein. While a fuller explanation is extended about aspects of life and the organization of the regions below heaven. True knowledge of heaven and the alternatives is important for each of us. Parents attempt to motivate their children to do well in school by showing them what awaits them if they apply themselves. Mothers and fathers fully realize the need to present a case for why the child should abandon old habits from early childhood and start applying themselves to gain a better life in the future. As part of encouraging children, parents also point out the pitfalls of not bearing down - children are shown the type of life that results without dedication to learning and self-discipline. If we look at our life as a one-time event, there is no advantage in not pursing the most hedonistic lifestyle possible - just as a child would consider the pluses and minuses between studying or playing. On the other hand, Spiritism lifts us up the mountain so we can see our lives arc over many centuries. One life is just one set of courses on the school of earth. In between physical existences, we may either spend it in heaven or below. It is up to us. Spiritism brings you the knowledge of why we are here, what is our goal, and the methods to achieve graduation from this planet. Allan Kardec notified the world that doing our best to remove our baser characteristics and to learn to be more loving, fraternal, charitable, and honest with our fellow humans brings its rewards ... life in heaven. While selfishness, envy, greed, and exploiting others practically guarantee a sojourn in the lower regions - where you either adjust your thinking or wait to improve in the next physical life on earth. Allan Kardec, the Codifier of Spiritism, wasn't the first nor the last to make this point, but via messages from the spirit world, he was able to clearly layout the reasons to perform well in this life and provide clear descriptions of the locations you shall be visiting depending upon your actions. Spiritism does not tell anyone they will rot in hell if they commit horrible deeds - only that they should be prepared for bad accommodations after death, which they won't be able to check-out of until they demonstrate a lasting change of character. And their next life will entail many lessons in which they will be able to feel the brunt of what they have done to others in a previous life. In essence, karma is real and it has a purpose. That is all. You have free will. Spiritism has supplied you with information about your possible options. Your life's priorities and your decisions are yours to make.
