The Strength of the Nation by Luisa Mirella Plancher Pdf

The Strength of the Nation is an excerpt from another manuscript, The Angel of the Lord, which will be published soon. Therefore, how do we make our nation great and strong? We do this by entering the same mindset of the prophets of old because the brilliance of discovery and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are not our own but of the spiritual power above. Yes, indeed! We need to make America great and strong not only for our own sake but also for the sake of all the nations on Earth. And we need to see ourselves as the beacon of hope for humanity as the founders of this great nation did. From the events of September 11, 2001, we have learned that our international problems cannot be solved exclusively by diplomacy or military interventions. Instead, the major solutions are to be found in the Religious arena. Then we discover that, by closing our Mexican border with a great wall, we offer a safe environment for the Jewish and Arab populations to go back to their root, Abraham, and reconcile after thousands of years of conflict and strife. And the Jewish people in Israel will take it from here, for they will repent for having killed their King, Jesus Yeshua, and prepare for the Second Coming while assembling the Kingdom of the Lord.

With United Strength by The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research Pdf

Visionary statesmen who have created an enduring state edifice through purposeful consensus and persuasion remain a historical rarity. The formation of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971 under the inspiring leadership of its founding father, H.H. Shaikh Zayid Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is a unique example of the building of a prosperous nation that has earned its founder his rightful place among the outstanding statesmen of all time. Against the backdrop of the British withdrawal from the Arabian Gulf region, it was H.H. Shaikh Zayid who accomplished the complex task of unifying the erstwhile Trucial States, creating the only thriving federal state in the Middle East. While fulfilling his personal destiny as the chosen leader, H.H. Shaikh Zayid strengthened the nation by uniting disparate tribal groups and sustained it against formidable challenges. He pioneered the modernization of the country and ultimately realized his dream of an effective framework for collaboration with neighboring Gulf states. The UAE has since become a constructive force within the region and beyond, exemplifying the principles of national unity, regional solidarity, international cooperation and religious tolerance. This book adopts a scholarly approach in analyzing the UAE’s unique federal experience, its phenomenal achievements and H.H. Shaikh Zayid’s far-sighted policies. It is an in-depth study of the birth of a progressive nation and the pivotal role of its leader, based largely on unpublished historical records and documents. The factual foundation of the book and its meticulous documentation make it a valuable record covering an important era in the contemporary history of the Arab Gulf region.

The Nation City by Rahm Emanuel Pdf

At a time of anxiety about the effectiveness of our national government, Rahm Emanuel provides a clear vision, for both progressives and centrists, of how to get things done in America today--a bracing, optimistic vision of America's future from one of our most experienced and original political minds. In The Nation City, Rahm Emanuel, former two-term mayor of Chicago and White House Chief of Staff for President Barack Obama, offers a firsthand account of how cities, rather than the federal government, stand at the center of innovation and effective governance. Drawing on his own experiences in Chicago, and on his relationships with other mayors around America, Emanuel provides dozens of examples to show how cities are improving education, infrastructure, job conditions, and environmental policy at a local level. Emanuel argues that cities are the most ancient political institutions, dating back thousands of years and have reemerged as the nation-states of our time. He makes clear how mayors are accountable to their voters to a greater degree than any other elected officials and illuminates how progressives and centrists alike can best accomplish their goals by focusing their energies on local politics. The Nation City maps out a new, energizing, and hopeful way forward.

The Rise And Fall of British Naval Mastery by Paul Kennedy Pdf

Paul Kennedy's classic naval history, now updated with a new introduction by the author This acclaimed book traces Britain's rise and fall as a sea power from the Tudors to the present day. Challenging the traditional view that the British are natural 'sons of the waves', he suggests instead that the country's fortunes as a significant maritime force have always been bound up with its economic growth. In doing so, he contributes significantly to the centuries-long debate between 'continental' and 'maritime' schools of strategy over Britain's policy in times of war. Setting British naval history within a framework of national, international, economic, political and strategic considerations, he offers a fresh approach to one of the central questions in British history. A new introduction extends his analysis into the twenty-first century and reflects on current American and Chinese ambitions for naval mastery. 'Excellent and stimulating' Correlli Barnett 'The first scholar to have set the sweep of British Naval history against the background of economic history' Michael Howard, Sunday Times 'By far the best study that has ever been done on the subject ... a sparkling and apt quotation on practically every page' Daniel A. Baugh, International History Review 'The best single-volume study of Britain and her naval past now available to us' Jon Sumida, Journal of Modern History

The Strength of a Nation by Michael McKernan Pdf

This comprehensive history of Australia's often overlooked but important role in World War II, in which one million service members from a country with a population of seven million served, is based on the moving and emotional personal stories of soldiers who served on the front lines and of prominent politicians on the home front. Campaigns in which Australian soldiers played a significant role are discussed, including those in North Africa, the Middle East, New Guinea, and the Anzac Corps in Greece. A controversial discussion of the home front in wartime Australia concentrates on p.
