There are six major perspectives in psychology which are also referred to as models or approaches. Each approach involves assumptions about human behaviour and psychological functioning. The major perspectives are the Psychodynamic, Behavioural, Cognitive, Humanistic, Biological and Socio-cultural approaches or models.
