A European wide survey on the EDUCTRA (Education and Training in Health Informatics) Concerted Action, was commenced in 1992 under the auspices of the AIM (Advanced Informatics in Medicine in Europe) programme. Combining and integrating cross-institutional data remains a challenge for both researchers and those involved in patient care.
