Time Shifts by Von Braschler Pdf

• Shares detailed accounts from people who have experienced time slips, including the author’s own experiences, as well as the practices of shamans, yoga masters, and Samadhi mystics who use trance-like meditative states to travel outside normal space and time • Offers step-by-step exercises to prepare you to experience time shifts, to help set them up, and to enhance the experience when you have slipped through time • Examines criticisms of and scientific support for this phenomenon, debunking claims that time slips are delusions or remembrances of past lives and showing that they may be related to energy vortices, black holes, or astral travel Every now and then somebody reports stepping out of normal time and space. It doesn’t seem to matter where they live or their background--the veil of ordinary reality drops and they suddenly slip into the past or future, usually seamlessly and unknowingly, experiencing a temporary and accidental form of time travel. Sharing detailed accounts from people who have experienced time slips and shifts between realities, including his own experiences, Von Braschler examines what their stories have in common to establish the pattern behind how these sudden slips in time occur. He examines criticisms of and scientific support for this phenomenon, debunking claims that time slips are delusions, implanted memories, or remembrances of past lives and showing that they may be related to energy vortices, tears in the fabric of our reality, black holes, astral travel, or light body movements. Studying reliable models from both the West and the East, he compares these excursions with shamanic journeying and the practices of yoga masters and Samadhi mystics, who use trance-like meditative states to travel outside normal space and time. Exploring the work of Einstein and other physicists, the author also examines the different speed with which time passes in ordinary reality and during time shifts--people will find that only a few minutes has elapsed for a time-shift experience that appeared to take hours. Offering step-by-step exercises to prepare you to experience time shifts, to help set them up, and to enhance the experience when you have slipped through time, the author provides a road map allowing anyone to explore shifts in time and space and expand their awareness beyond ordinary reality.

Phase Shifts of the Human Circadian System and Performance Deficit During the Period of Transition by G. T. Hauty,T. Adams Pdf

At periodic intervals throughout the biological day, biomedical assessments were made for a week prior to jet flight to Manila, for 8 days of layover at Manila, and for a week following return. The rapid translocation effected primary phase shifts as follows: for rectal temperature and heart rate, 4 days; for palmar evaporative water loss, 8 days. The return flight effected a 1-day phase shift. Behavoral integrity was degraded, although to a lesser extent after return. Duration of behavioral impairment was much shorter than the lag time of physiological phase shifts. (Author).

Workforce Planning and Scheduling. Automated Staff Shifts Management and Rostering by Isabella Longobardi Pdf

Scheduling staff shifts is a difficult task. In organizations that work on Sundays, and/or on public holidays, and/or during night hours, scheduling shifts accurately and efficiently is a time consuming job, and it also exposes employers to the risk of excessive overtime costs and poor distribution of workload among employees. In order to be efficient, anyone who has the task of planning the activities of an organization must learn to perform two activities that are interconnected but distinct: first, he must learn to represent the data specific to his organization’s problem in an organized manner, ideally resolving the matter manually, with pen and paper; then, he must learn to use a software dedicated to the problem of shift scheduling. This book teaches how to address the problem of allocating tasks systematically, and also teaches how to use a dedicated software program to achieve this purpose without wasting time with repetitive tasks in search of the best organizational solution, operations that can be performed by a computer. Thus, in this book we will first discuss the data analysis of the problem that needs to be addressed before making use of any software tool. We will then proceed by giving examples and referring to one of the most efficient and cheap software solutions available on the market: ZonaTEAM, produced by Zonabit Sistemi. Attentive readers of this book will become experts in planning, and will acquire the ability to plan with full and rational use of available human resources, saving in overtime costs, all the while providing fair treatment of employees.

Time Travel in Popular Media by Matthew Jones,Joan Ormrod Pdf

In recent years numerous films, television series, comic books, graphic novels and video games have featured time travel narratives, with characters jumping backward, forward and laterally through time. No rules govern time travel in these stories. Some characters move by machine, some by magic, others by unexplained means. Sometime travelers can alter the timeline, while others are prevented from causing temporal aberrations. The fluid forms of imagined time travel have fascinated audiences and prompted debate since at least the 19th century. What is behind our fascination with time travel? What does it mean to be out of one's own era? How do different media tell these stories and what does this reveal about the media's relationship to time? This collection of new essays--the first to address time travel across a range of media--answers these questions by locating time travel narratives within their cultural, historical and philosophical contexts. Texts discussed include Doctor Who, The Terminator, The Georgian House, Save the Date, Back to the Future, Inception, Source Code and others.

Soul Shifts by Dr. Barbara Deangelis Pdf

There are pivotal moments in the lives of all seekers when we realize that we’ve been traveling on our path of growth toward happiness and fulfillment, but, simply put, we want to go faster. How we have been living, working, and loving just isn’t enough or even acceptable anymore. We know we’re being called to something more significant and expanded—we can feel it. At these times what’s needed is not simply more change or an adjustment in our outer life, but profound transformation. We don’t just want to rearrange the pieces of ourselves so that they look better temporarily. We want nothing less than rebirth. We are ready for Soul Shifts. Soul Shifts is the groundbreaking new book from New York Times best-selling author and renowned transformational teacher Barbara De Angelis, Ph.D. Now, in her most powerful offering yet—and the culmination of her life’s work—Dr. De Angelis offers a practical handbook for awakening, and a brilliant revisioning of the journey of personal and spiritual transformation that will inspire and enlighten longtime seekers as well as new arrivals to the path of growth. Soul Shifts are radical, vibrational internal shifts that spontaneously and inevitably transform the way you relate to yourself, to others, and to the world. For transformation to be real and lasting, it must originate from the inside out, so that instead of trying to constantly micromanage everything, you operate from true mastery at the deepest level of who you are—the soul level. When you learn how to make these Soul Shifts on the inside, everything on the outside of your life shifts. Places where you’ve felt stuck or confused become illuminated with new clarity and understanding. Obstacles turn into possibilities, dead ends transform into doorways, and challenges convert into astonishing maps leading you to exciting new territories . . . all because you have made a Soul Shift. A masterful and moving teacher, Dr. De Angelis will offer you illuminating guidance and invaluable techniques for living a life of practical spirituality and making your own personal Soul Shifts. Written with Barbara De Angelis’s trademark eloquence, keen insight, and compassionate wisdom, Soul Shifts takes you on nothing less than a sacred inner journey to emotional and spiritual rebirth and lasting attainment. Application of System Identification in Engineering by H.G. Natke Pdf

System identification is a powerful tool in engineering. Its various methods in the frequency and in the time domain have been extensively discussed in earlier CISM courses. The aim of this course is to describe the state of the art in specific application areas, such as estimation of eigenquantities (in the aerospace industry, in civil engineering, in naval engineering etc.), noise source detection, fault detection by investigation of dynamic properties, such as machine sound characteristics, and the identification of the dynamic behaviour of flow induced systems (e.g. aerolastic problems). Geotechnical applications are also among the fields of interest. The lecture notes contain demonstrations of several methods and include a valuation by combining various kinds of experience. Such complex information includes not only theoretical aspects of identification but also advice on practical handling, for example concerning testing effort and data handling.
