Call Her Mine by Melissa Foster Pdf

Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels. Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He's been in love with his best friend--saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark--forever. But Ben's a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own--to a different town. Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she's crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she'll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on. But when a baby is left on Ben's front porch--a baby that is presumably his--Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after... just not one either of them expects.

Hermine: An Empress in Exile by Moniek Bloks Pdf

Hermine Reuss of Greiz is perhaps better known as the second wife of the Kaiser (Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany) whom she married shortly after the death of his first wife Auguste Viktoria and while he was in exile in the Netherlands. She was by then a widow herself with young children. She was known to be ambitious about wanting to return to power, and her husband insisted on her being called 'Empress'. To achieve her goal, she turned to the most powerful man in Germany at the time, Adolf Hitler. Unfortunately, her dream was not realised as Hitler refused to restore the monarchy and with the death of Wilhelm in 1941, Hermine was forced to return to her first husband's lands. She was arrested shortly after the end of the Second World War and would die under mysterious circumstances while under house arrest by the Red Army.

The Sainte-Hermine Novels by Alexandre Dumas Pdf

The two lesser-known novels of Duma introduce a reader into the advantageous Napoleonic world, full of courtesy and noble heroes, tragic love stories, duels, political intrigues, and people ready to defend their ideas at the cost of their lives. "The Companions of Jehu" sends us to the early days of the Napoleonic era, as Napoleon himself only started his stellar political career as a First Consul. The story tells about the opposition between the adherents of royalty and Napoleon supporters. Yet, a reader can't find a clear villain on any side. Both the royalists and their political foes display honor and nobility, and neither side makes the reader less sympathetic. After "The Companions of Jehu," Dumas wrote "The Whites and the Blues," which he called the most strictly historical of his works. Although it was created later, it is actually a prequel to "The Companions of Jehu." The book covers the turbulent times following the French Revolution, before the Napoleon era. In those times, belonging to the wrong political party could cost a life. It tells us about young people dragged into the political turmoil, where they were forced to fight for their lives and ideals. Interestingly, one of the characters was inspired by Dumas' friend Charles Nodier. The ones who read and Loved "The Companions of Jehu" will be surprised to meet their favorite heroes a couple of years younger, when their views were just shaped, and their fates outlined.

A fun, sexy, charming, friends-to-lovers romance by USA TODAY Bestselling author Claudia Burgoa I’ve been best friends with Beacon since we were kids. We shared everything, even our first kiss. Now that we’re adults, Beacon’s been cockblocking me on my quest to find Mr. Right. No matter how hard I try to find love, he’s always getting in the way. My shy, awkward exterior doesn’t help. After all, Beacon’s the cool one, not me—I play the cello at Carnegie Hall, and He’s a heartthrob. The famous frontman of the band famous Too Far From Grace. Every woman wants him, every guy...either wants to be like him or wants him too. I decide to play devil’s advocate, and hire Beacon to teach me the dating ropes. Maybe if we work together, we can find me a guy we both approve of. Except, moving to Baker’s Creek to work on this experiment isn’t working the way I planned. Seems like he’s doing everything to convince me that I don’t need a man, after all, I have him.
