Economic Mineralization by K.L. Shrivastava Pdf
Economic Mineralization - the volume sets out to present various aspects of a very broad details of a narrow field of economic mineralization at a time when the competitively growing global economy and the pressing needs of the society are compelling economic geology to grow and pile of data is accumulating and opinions changing very rapidly. The volume incorporates papers, a resultant of information explosion and electrifying conceptual revolution in economic geology, describing the new and exciting results and timely reviews integrating and immense amount of knowledge in the field of geology, exploration, mining, environment, economics, geophysics and geochemistry that has bearing on economic mineralization. The book imbibes sections on crustal evolution and economic mineralization, economic mineralization of igneous application, economic mineralization of sedimentary affiliation, prospecting and exploration and mining, economics and environments. In all the five sections current concepts, problems and probable trends of future research are highlighted. This book will be an invaluable everlasting reference for both industry and academia specializing in economic mineralization and for those who need updated information and current research in the field. It will be equally useful for advance level geology and mining students and research scholars throughout the world.

Distribution and Behaviour of Platinum in Soils of the Tulameen Ultramafic Complex, Southern British Columbia by Stephen John Cook,William K. Fletcher,British Columbia. Geological Survey Branch,British Columbia. Mineral Resources Division Pdf
Geochemical exploration for chromitite-associated platinum deposits is hampered by a poor understanding of the distribution and behaviour of platinum in the surficial environment. This study investigates platinum content, residence sites, and mineralogy of soils developed on till and colluvium above the Tulameen Ultramafic Complex in southern British Columbia. Samples were taken of 76 soil profiles, sediments, bogs, and water above the dunite core of the Tulameen Complex. Platinum content of the -70-mesh fraction of soils and sediments was determined by fire assay-inductively coupled plasma spectrometry. Samples from 14 selected profiles were then examined in detail to determine platinum mineralogy and its distribution between different size, density, and magnetic fractions.

Bridge River Mining Camp Geology and Mineral Deposits by B. N. Church Pdf
The Bridge River mining camp covers about 1,500 square kilometres of mountainous terrain some 180 kilometres north of Vancouver. It includes two large gold producers, three small producers, and over 60 surrounding mineral prospects. This study re-evaluates the geology of the camp, fits the numerous mineral occurrences to modern geological interpretations, and provides a synthesis of the mineral potential of the area and a framework for further exploration. Information is included on the area's general geology, structural geology, geochemistry, and economic geology, with mineral deposit and mineral prospect descriptions arranged by mining area or geographical area.

Carbonatites, Nepheline Syenites, Kimberlites and Related Rocks in British Columbia by British Columbia. Geological Survey Branch,Jennifer Pell,British Columbia. Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources,Canada/British Columbia Mineral Development Agreement Pdf
This study documents alkaline rock occurrences in British Columbia; describes their petrography, geochemistry, economic geology, and field relationships; and determines the timing and tectonic controls of emplacement, providing a basis for future, detailed studies. Work was begun in 1984 and included field mapping during the summers of 1984, 1985, and 1986. All the carbonatite-syenite localities (with the exception of the Wicheeda Lake and Mount Bisson showings) and a large number of the diatreme breccias were mapped and sampled.

Geology and Platinum-group-element Mineralization of Alaskan-type Ultramafic-mafic Complexes in British Columbia by Graham Tom Nixon,British Columbia. Geological Survey Branch,British Columbia. Ministry of Employment and Investment Pdf
Alaskan-type ultramafic-mafic complexes in British Columbia are potential hosts for commercially exploitable deposits of platinum group elements (PGEs). Such complexes are named for a distinctive suite of intrusions distributed along a narrow, northerly trending belt 600 kilometres long in south-eastern Alaska. All Alaskan-type complexes in British Columbia lie within the allochthonous terranes of the Intermontane Belt that were amalgamated and accreted to the cratonic margin of ancestral North America in the Mesozoic. This report examines the geology and PGE/noble metal geochemistry of eight specific complexes, providing information on regional geology and geochronology, structure, metamorphism, petrography, geochemistry, and mineralization. It then discusses PGE mineralization, using the Tulameen Complex and associated placers as a case study, and examines the economic potential of the complexes and their magmatic and tectonic settings.
