Undefiled Faith by Robert Shipley Pdf

For so long, the world, from the time of Adam up until the present, has defiled faith and its meaning to the point where the only time it is exercised is when we ask Jesus to come into our lives by faith (Rom. 10:9–10) and that's it! Faith has become defiled when man ties worldly principles to it and puts standards and limitations to it (I'll be getting to this in the book) so that man's strength alone takes over faith. Today, many believers have never hoped for something and waited for it by faith. It has never come across their minds to believe God could grant what they need because they think they are required by Him to accomplish what they need by their own strength. Man has learned to achieve what he requires by his strength, so to wait for it would be considered, today, irresponsible and crazy.

Faith-Based Fraud by Warren Cole Smith Pdf

A leader of Ministry Watch examines how cases of abuse and financial corruption have hurt the church—and how to bring back integrity. We live in a secular, skeptical, and cynical age. Many Americans have lost faith in institutions—including the church. Although the vast majority of Christian leaders serve faithfully, examples of financial fraud, greed, sexual and emotional abuse, and other systemic problems are almost everyday occurrences. And a watching world has a right to ask even those who are faithful ministers of the Gospel: “If you knew this was happening, why didn’t you say something?” Whether or not honest and above-board Christian leadership like it, in the eyes of the world, our silence makes us complicit. That’s why this vital book takes a clear-eyed look at scandals in the church—from Jim and Tammy Bakker’s PTL Network to Mark Driscoll, Todd Bentley, David Jeremiah, and Bill Hybels. It is an answer to those who say that the silence of Christian leadership is approval. And although this book is sometimes tough on the church and its leaders, its purpose is not to tear down the evangelical church, but to restore it to its rightful place of influence in the culture and in the lives of people who desperately need its message of grace and truth. “Explains why shining sunlight on churches and ministries in America is important.” —Paul Glader, Director of the McCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute, The King’s College

Wisdom to Persevere in Faith by Russell M. Stendal Pdf

Today we see an increasing number of headlines focused on Evangelicalism and Christian Nationalism, bringing the matter of being Christian under great scrutiny. As Christians, we must ask ourselves whether we can be scrutinized and found desirable by both God and man. Many who profess to be Christians might say this is impossible, but is that really what the Scriptures teach? Man’s wrath is very different from God’s wrath. God is slow to anger. On a human level in the world around us, individuals and even entire groups are continually riled up and insulting one another. None of this effectuates the righteousness of God. James 1:21 entreats us to leave all uncleanness and remains of malice and receive with meekness the word ingested within you, which is able to cause your souls to be saved. God has the purpose for his children to be examples to those around them. The books of James and Jude have much to say regarding what this should look like and how it is accomplished, which is to receive the wisdom prepared for us. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning. (James 1:16-17) God desires to give good and perfect gifts to his children who ask in faith, not doubting anything. In fact, he is the only source of anything good and perfect. He is the Father of lights. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world and who does not change, and his plans and expectations for us remain constant. Jesus told his disciples that corporately, Ye are the light of the world. The plan of the Father of lights is to bring us out of darkness and into his light so that he can place his life and love and light in us for all the world to see.

A Living Faith by Stanley D. Gale Pdf

This devotional walks readers through the epistle of James, discovering faith as a key theme of this letter. With pastoral insight, Stanley D. Gale helps us understand James’s portrayal of a living faith that clings fervently to our Father in heaven and results in following Him faithfully through the trials of this life. Each devotion is followed by two questions aimed at doing the word, whereby readers put into practice what they have learned. This devotional can be used privately, but its brevity makes it well-suited for reading the segment aloud with fellow believers, discussing it together, and supporting each other in prayer and encouragement.

Faith and reason Unified in the World of faith Phenomena by Sharon R. Bradley-Munn Pdf

Faith and reason Unified in the World of faith Phenomena seeks to substantiate that although science or the school of thought can never fully comprehend the realm of faith, it can come closer to understanding this unique domain through the study of its manifested properties, known as faith phenomena. This book seeks to establish that just as reason is not superior to faith, neither is faith inadequate to reason but rather each is a counter-part to the other, fulfilling their individual office while finding completion in the other. This book will ignite your spirit-man, as you endeavor to understand the immaterial substance of faith and world of miracles faith creates through a rational viewfinder.

A Believing Behaving Faith: by Dr. John Thomas Wylie Pdf

This publication, “A Believing Behaving Faith,” is but one in a series of biblical expositions not intended to be an exhaustive study but rather a simple biblical approach that is a practical commentary and reader friendly in content. This is a work that would certainly be appreciated by many clergy and laity alike. The purpose of any exposition from the Word of God should always be (whether spoken or written) to guide, inspire, teach, encourage others to Christ and to live for Christ only. In this publication, James has much to contribute concerning Christian ethics. Again, and without doubt, we should be hearers of the Word. We receive the Word but not as “believers only” but as “doers” of the Word. Not just as believers of the faith but as doers of the faith in our daily walk with Christ. If we truly believe the Word of God, then we ought to live a life true and obedient to the Word of God, a life acceptable and holy unto God, which is our reasonable service, a living sacrifice. My brothers and sisters, read on, draw nigh to Christ, as he draws closer to you in a more personal and fulfilling way. Refer the Bible often and prayerfully as you read the contents of this publication. Expect something miraculous and wondrous to take place as you read. Live your life in expectancy of even a more blessed, abundant life. Ask God not only to bless you during and after reading this blessing but also to make you a blessing to others. Thank you for supporting this book ministry. To God be the glory! When asked, “Why do you write?” Dr. Wylie’s refers to Habakkuk 2:2–4 and Ps. 97: 11–12.
