I have enjoyed and lingered over its eloquence, and entered into and lived in its expressed emotions and depths of its feeling; and again and again has the longing come to me that 1 might write something of the emotions which stirred within me. Thornley Waddington, dealt with my first attempts to put my thoughts and feelings into intelligible poetic phrase. Let me here acknowledge their kind encouragement.
