Washington in the Lap of Rome by Justin Fulton Pdf

In 1888, a Baptist preacher named Justin Dewey Fulton published a scathing critique of Roman Catholicism in America in which he wrote "Romanism is the dominant power in the Capitol of the United States." He accused the Roman Catholic Church of some of the most egregious crimes, including the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. His book reveals a once deep-seated sentiment in America against Roman Catholicism by some who sought to make Catholics scapegoats for many of America's ills.

Not illustrated. 1888 edition. Excerpt: ... CHATTER XVII. CAN WASHINGTON BE TAKEN OUT OF THE LAP OF ROME. This may yet come to be the question of the hour. If done, it must be accomplished through the combined efforts of the people of the United States. The North and the South, the East and the West, must come up alike to the help of the Lord against the mighty. The need of it is apparent. It is the boast of the Frenchman, that as goes Paris, so goes France. As went Rome, so went Italy. And so it may yet be said, As goes Washington, so will go the great Republic. Remember, France made Paris bend her neck to the people. Italy thundered at the gates of Rome; took away the States of the Church from His Holiness the Pope; tossed overboard, with contempt and ease, the ruler who was said to preserve the equipoise of Europe; sent him a prisoner to the Vatican; and went on with the work of making Italy free, as if the tap-root of Papal Rule had not been the growth of centuries. Washington, the centre of political influence and activity, is in the lap of Rome, with the consent of the people. Let there be a protest. Unroof the monster, Jesuitism. Uncover the pollution, the scandal of the confessional. Unlock and throw open the doors of the convents and nunneries, the assignation houses, kept for a so-called celibate pi"iesthood. Expose the conduct of those who have made prostitution flourish at Rome and in all the great cities in which they have control, and Washington will shake off the incubus. The nation will declare for purity, for justice, for emancipation from the shackles of blind and besotted Romanism, and from the thraldom of the black-robed throng, who insult their sick, half-starve their orphans, --for whose support they are paid by the State, -- and maltreat their poor; because in...

Washington in the Lap of Rome by Justin Fulton Pdf

"Romanism is the dominant power in the Capitol of the United States." In 1888, a man named Justin D. Fulton gave a warning to the people of America through his book, Washington in the Lap of Rome. In it, he details how the Roman Catholic Church flooded the new capital city just after the American Revolution, with the intention of seizing control of the United States by covert means. Prior to the Revolution, Catholics in America were forbidden to vote and could not hold political office, because of the centuries-old conflict between Rome and England; an enmity so bitter that even the Catholic mass was outlawed in the English colonies. But once America declared her independence and the doctrine of religious freedom was written into the Constitution, the ancient enemy of all freedom moved quickly, building a Jesuit university and moving faithful Romanists into positions of power. By 1888, the situation was such that Dewey wrote: "Romanism is the dominant power in the Capitol of the United States." This new edition of Dewey's book presents a seventy page forward by documentary filmmaker, Christian J. Pinto that is found in no other version of this work. His forward reveals the influence of Rome from 1888 to the present time, documenting the role of the Vatican during World War II, with the development of the CIA, the Vietnam era, McCarthyism, the Jesuit origins of Communism, the Mexican border issue, the rewriting of American history, the Supreme Court, the manipulation of the White House, and even the modern presidency of Barack Obama.

The Fight With Rome (Classic Reprint) by Justin D. Fulton Pdf

Excerpt from The Fight With Rome These thoughts, fearlessly expressed, are the ripe fruitage of a mature mind, that has made this greatest of all national and religious problems a life study. Not a chapter here that has not been rewritten many times, and bathed in tears and consecrated by many prayers, before it was given to the public. Dr. Fulton delights to tell the truth. He is the most fearless man we have ever known. At the same time, he is the most tender and loving of Christian leaders. Love begets love. No person of our acquaintance has ever shown such love for God and man as the author of this book. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. In His Name by E. Christopher Reyes Pdf

*Introduction *Paganism and Christianity *Donation of Constantine. *Destruction of the Old Testament and Talmud. *Celibacy Doctrine of Demons 1 Corinthians 9.5, 1 Timothy 4.3 *American Christianity. *Bible. *Crucifixion. *Confession *Crusades *Death penalty Capital punishment/Right of the Sword *Earth is flat. *Emperor Constantine *Early Vegetarian Christians. *Fire *God is White *Conclusion For nearly two millenniums Christianity has been compulsory, its will mandated upon their unsuspecting victims; taunting them, persecuting them, imprisoning them, torturing them, and, if need be, murdering them. Few records survive regarding the true history of Christianity that are not written by dogmatic Christian writers; almost all historical documents, manuscripts, and scrolls disagreeing with Christian interpretations of Scripture having been lost or destroyed. The First Crusade, after a rough beginning, the “Beggars' Crusade,” 1095-1099, is composed of thieves and beggars, finally managed to capture Jerusalem and much else beside, setting up a series of Crusader states to protect their gains. These managed pretty well until 1144, when the counterattacking Muslims took a couple of important Christian strongholds. “Many Franks had been sent on the crusade as penance for atrocious offenses such as rape and murder and reverted to their unpleasant habits. Pilgrims were a natural prey, though one of the principal objects of the crusade had been to make the Holy Places safe for them. The Monks of War, D. Seward, p. 33 Today, the Vatican, in all its glory, in all its magnificence, in all its entire splendor, stands as a tribute to the overwhelming magnitude of the crimes of the Church, in its quest for world dominance. Its history veiled in religious platitudes to appease the ignorant masses that often know little or nothing of the heinous crimes committed in the name of Jesus Christ; their God and Savior.

Antichrist: The Beast Revealed by Edward Hendrie Pdf

The antichrist is among us, here and now. This book proves it by comparing the biblical prophecies about the antichrist with the evidence that those prophecies have been fulfilled. This book documents the man of sin?s esoteric confession that he is the antichrist. You will learn how the antichrist has changed times and laws as prophesied by Daniel, and how he is today sitting in the temple of God, ?shewing himself that he is God,? in fulfillment of Paul?s prophesy in 2 Thessalonians 2:4. The beast of Revelation has come into the world, ?after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness,? as prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:10.

Liberal Suppression by Philip Hamburger Pdf

In the course of exempting religious, educational, and charitable organizations from federal income tax, section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code requires them to refrain from campaign speech and much speech to influence legislation. These speech restrictions have seemed merely technical adjustments, which prevent the political use of a tax subsidy. But the cultural and legal realities are more disturbing. Tracing the history of American liberalism, including theological liberalism and its expression in nativism, Hamburger shows the centrality of turbulent popular anxieties about the Catholic Church and other potentially orthodox institutions. He argues persuasively that such theopolitical fears about the political speech of churches and related organizations underlay the adoption, in 1934 and 1954, of section 501(c)(3)’s speech limits. He thereby shows that the speech restrictions have been part of a broad majority assault on minority rights and that they are grossly unconstitutional. Along the way, Hamburger explores the role of the Ku Klux Klan and other nativist organizations, the development of American theology, and the cultural foundations of liberal “democratic” political theory. He also traces important legal developments such as the specialization of speech rights and the use of law to homogenize beliefs. Ultimately, he examines a wide range of contemporary speech restrictions and the growing shallowness of public life in America. His account is an unflinching look at the complex history of American liberalism and at the implications for speech, the diversity of belief, and the nation’s future.
