What Are God's Goals? by Carl Wells Pdf

Does God Have Goals? We human beings tend to be pretty self-absorbed. We have goals, and we hope to meet those goals--whether they are wise or unwise. We seldom stop to consider that perhaps God also has goals. If He does, they are certain to be wise, and He has the power to reach those goals. But what are they? Does God intend that mankind help Him reach His goals? Does our current model of Christianity truly reflect what the Bible teaches? Is the model flawed or broken? What would a biblical model of Christianity look like? Does God torture most people in Hell for eternity? Or have we misread Scripture on that topic? These are some of the questions wrestled with in What Are Gods Goals?

In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson Pdf

Your greatest regret at the end of your life will be the lions you didn't chase. You will look back longingly on risks not taken, opportunities not seized, and dreams not pursued. Stop running away from what scares you most and start chasing the God-ordained opportunities that cross your path. In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day is inspired by one of the most obscure yet courageous acts recorded in Scripture, a blessed and audacious act that left no regrets: “Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it” (2 Samuel 23:20 -21). Unleash the lion chaser within! #InAPit “Mark has become one of the most important voices for a new generation. Anything he touches changes lives. Read this book and you’ll see what I mean.” — Craig Groeschel, pastor of Life.Church, author of Chazown and Dare to Drop the Pose “As a leader and teacher, Mark Batterson brings imagination, energy, and insight. I appreciate his willingness to take bold risks and go to extraordinary lengths to reach our culture with a message that is truly relevant.” — Ed Young, senior pastor, Fellowship Church “Don’t settle for a normal life. Conquer your fears, accept His anointing, jump into that pit, chase the lion, and watch God’s Kingdom come in amazing ways.” — Christine Caine, founder of Propel Women, author of Unashamed

God’s Need and God’s Goal by Witness Lee Pdf

It is easy to understand that man has needs, but do we have a sense of God’s need? Indeed, we may even wonder, “Who has a greater need, man or God?” In this book, Witness Lee presents his burden that we would “turn our eyes from the earth to heaven to see a need that is immensely greater than man’s need—God’s need. Without seeing God’s need, it is difficult for people who do not have a sense of need to be saved. Furthermore, without seeing God’s need, it is difficult for those who are saved to have a heavenly living or to obtain power and faith. May these words lead us to see the need on God’s side so that our attention can be shifted from man to God.”

The Secret of Happiness by Billy Graham Pdf

Happiness. It's what we all long for, what all human beings seek in our jobs, our relationships, our activities. We try so hard to be happy, and all too often we end up empty and unsatisfied. Why? Because, says Billy Graham in this classic work, we are looking for happiness in all the wrong places. We haven't learned the secret Jesus taught in the Beatitudes – that true, lasting happiness simply isn't to be found by seeking it directly. Happiness is a by-product, a bonus that comes when we seek what is really important. And the things that will bring us the satisfaction we long for are not necessarily what the world considers meaningful. Jesus did not have to have an outward stimulus to make Him happy, Billy Graham points out. "He had learned a secret that allowed Him to live above the circumstances of life and fear of the future. He moved with calmness, certainty, and serenity through the most trying circumstances – even death! What was His secret? He gave it to us in the Beautitudes." Presented with Billy Graham's characteristic vigor and simplicity in this landmark book, it is a secret that can transform your life.

The Real Heaven by Chip Ingram,Lance Witt Pdf

Heaven has received a lot of attention in recent years as bestselling books and movies have told the stories of people who claim to have been there. But what does the Bible actually say about heaven? What difference does it make? What happens the moment after we die? What will our relationships be like in heaven? Chip Ingram sets aside the hype and myths and digs into the Scriptures to discover what God actually wants us to know about the hereafter. Most importantly, Ingram shows why our understanding of heaven matters now, in this life. Because what we believe about heaven actually affects us today in ways we may not have imagined.

Planning Each Day with God by Keith Bacon Pdf

Planning Each Day With God is a life journal that will guide you through the next 50 days of your life, working toward your goals. Studies have shown that you are more likely to meet a goal if youA. write it down, and B. break it down into smaller goals that you can achieve on a daily basis. This book sets out to guide you, through prayer, to making thoughtful progress toward your goals by setting daily goals in pursuit of a larger goal. One large goal can be intimating and you may be unsure where to start. The old adage goes "a journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step." This book will help you to make little steps to make that thousand mile journey. By keeping the smaller goals managable, you do not lose sight of your main goal when you do not see the progress you would like to see. Start each day with a short quote from scripture to pray about and then remind yourself what your major goal is. If your major goal is to run a marathon, you write (daily!) that your goal is to run a marathon. You then will plot out how you can work toward that goal today. If you've never run before, your first step might be to begin an interval running program to build stamina. If you have run several marathons, your goal may be to improve your marathon time and you would set daily goals to that end. The nice part about it all, is these are goals you are setting. Even if you only make minimal progress toward your goal on a daily basis, all of those little bits will add up over time. We also need to recognize that some days we will make no progress. But by keeping track of those zero-gain days, you will hold yourself accountable. You will recognize that if you want to reach your goal, you will need to make progress. On another day when you feel like you don't want to bother making progress, you can look back at other days when you didn't make progress and that might change your attitude. We also need to celebrate mini victories. Going along with the theme of a marathon, one Victory might be to run a 5k for the first time. If you are the experienced runner, your Victory might be the completion of a smaller training program designed to improve your run time. At the heart of this Goal setting and completing book is the reminder that God is with us and wants the best for us. He will move alongside you when you make the effort to move. You cannot expect to do nothing and get to where you want to be. Though Salvation is given through the death and Resurrection of Jesus, our job is to glorify God in all we do and recognizing Him. By making Him a part of your goals, you will build a closer relationship with Him and meet your goals along the way. Includes a dedication page for you to give this as a gift and personalize it to a person and their goal.

Goals^ in Christ by Donald Trent Stevenson Pdf

In a spiritual act of calling the United States of America to account; Jesus Christ pulls back the veil off of our nation's two names and flag, Setting before us the command to repent and to pray: that through Goals DEGREES in Christ, Jesus Christ now stands in the gap between us and the Father. CA I MER A     To call my presence here remember God. The Sovereign King calling AMERICA to prayer The Christ has opened the door to the Feast of Trumpets; and through Goals DEGREES in Christ now begins His crying out for the preparation to His second coming. For out of our nation's flag, bound as one, unveils the two principles of that feast day: Day of Judgment and Day of Remembrance: Scepter rulership of Jesus Christ and Sanctity of the Womb. In connection to many spiritual events in my life; God unveiled Goals DEGREES in Christ. My qualifications to writing this book is the fact that I have sought to obey Him in reporting these unveiling in line with scripture. Spiritually understanding as I wrote the book of the sanctity of the womb both within scripture and of it's symbolization upon our nation's flag. In the book is shown God binding the USA and Israel together for a purpose. And since writing this book; I've learned much of this nation's past failures to remain in allegiance with Israel; being why God now spiritually reminds us through Goals DEGREES in Christ of our allegiance to Israel. One allegiance being the gospel message; and the other: being the protector of her gates. Hence, I wrote Goals DEGREES in Christ: to obey the LORD God Almighty.

No Silver Bullets by Daniel Im Pdf

What if I told you that you were only one step away from unlocking new levels of maturity and growth in your church? The myth of the silver bullet still exists because we desperately want it to. We all prefer quick fixes and bandage solutions to the long, hard, slow work that produces real change. So the moment we learn about a new ministry or strategy and see its effect in another church, we run to implement it in our own. Unfortunately, this impulse is usually met by opposition, skepticism, and ultimately, rejection. What if the solution isn't a new model or a complicated strategy, but a shift in perspective? What if you could keep your church's current vision, values, and model, and simply make a few micro-shifts...leading to macro-changes? This book explores five micro-shifts that have the potential to produce macro-changes in your church. As you read, you will discover how to integrate these micro-shifts into the life of your church, starting with the way you disciple. You will finish by developing a plan to structure, communicate, and evaluate these changes to ensure that they take root and pave the way for lasting change and kingdom impact.

Habits of Grace by David Mathis Pdf

The Christian life is built on three seemingly unremarkable practices: reading the Bible, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. However, according to David Mathis, such “habits of grace” are the God-designed channels through which his glorious grace flows—making them life-giving practices for all Christians. Whether it’s hearing God’s voice (the Word), having his ear (prayer), or participating in his body (fellowship), such spiritual rhythms of the Christian life have the power to awaken our souls to God’s glory and stir our hearts for lifelong service in his name. What’s more, these seemingly simple practices grant us access to a host of spiritual blessings that we can only begin to imagine this side of eternity—and the incredible joy that such blessings bring to God’s children today.
