When God Turned Off the Lights by Cecil Murphey Pdf

Every devoted Christian experiences periods of time when God seems far away, when the light of his face seems to have turned away and left his child to fumble in the darkness. During periods of spiritual blackout, when God seems to be silent, we feel as if we've been put on hold. We wait and wait for God to get back on the line. We know it will be wonderful when the light comes back on and drives away the darkness, but we want it now--not later. Award-winning writer Cecil Murphey has journeyed through this darkness three different times during his many years following Christ, and each time was more difficult than the last. He suggests that believers have three choices when the lights go out: (1) give up, (2) examine ourselves for sin or failure, or (3) accept that God's face is hidden with his purpose in mind. In When God Turned Off the Lights, readers will learn how to make the most of their time on hold by pondering the mysteries of God's character, confident that he will turn the lights on once again.

The Lord has been doing amazing things in my life and with a 2 and a 3 year old I get the worst news on a Sunday morning, that I have breast cancer. Fear sets in anger, frustration and discouragement. I feel weak sick to my stomach and just hopeless. Where is God in all this???? I have been dedicating my life to Jesus in serving others, sharing his word and living as a good servant,. Why I would ask God why would you allow this, I thought I was covered by Jesus protection how can this be happening to me. I have 2 kids who need me and I had already struggled to get pregnant now that I have kids I am sick? All I can do is cry hold my kids so tight and wish it was a bad dream. I prayed it could all go away. I knew that I had to make a decision to be a victim of this horrible disease or a conqueror in Jesus. I cling to the Lord and asked for strength and healing. I decided to meet Jesus and surrender to his will. Whatever he wants for me, the Lord is my savior and I am a living testimony of healing. We must claim his name and stand firm for he will deliver us in due time, for his word does not come back void. I pray this will touch your heart and encourage you to trust the Lord in whatever you are facing. He is faithful Father.

On that TV channel they were giving false information rather often but actually it can be said about all the TV channels nowadays. They were deceiving their audiences. They were showing only entertainment programs and nothing else...In a while I found myself in the studio. Shaitan came with me. He just couldn’t let me go alone...

From Miniskirt to Hijab by Jacqueline Saper Pdf

Jacqueline Saper, named after Jacqueline Kennedy, was born in Tehran to Iranian and British parents. At eighteen she witnessed the civil unrest of the 1979 Iranian revolution and continued to live in the Islamic Republic during its most volatile times, including the Iran-Iraq War. In a deeply intimate and personal story, Saper recounts her privileged childhood in prerevolutionary Iran and how she gradually became aware of the paradoxes in her life and community—primarily the disparate religions and cultures. In 1979 under the Ayatollah regime, Iran became increasingly unfamiliar and hostile to Saper. Seemingly overnight she went from living a carefree life of wearing miniskirts and attending high school to listening to fanatic diatribes, forced to wear the hijab, and hiding in the basement as Iraqi bombs fell over the city. She eventually fled to the United States in 1987 with her husband and children after, in part, witnessing her six-year-old daughter’s indoctrination into radical Islamic politics at school. At the heart of Saper’s story is a harrowing and instructive tale of how extremist ideologies seized a Westernized, affluent country and transformed it into a fundamentalist Islamic society.
