How Jesus Reconciled Mankind to God by Pamela Scudder Pdf

Does this idea bother you? God accepted the suffering death of Jesus to satisfy His justice—that is, His requirement of the penalty of death for every human missing of the mark. Would you like a solid and biblically correct reason to believe in the goodness of God? The truth of the gospel message is simple. You don't have to be especially educated or smart to understand it. The Bible does not hide it. But Church tradition has built a paradigm surrounding the cross that is hard to escape. Would you like to try? The Bible is a perfect puzzle. In order to put it together, no pieces can be squeezed or stretched. They must slip easily into place. Nobody has any more authority to put the pieces in place than anybody else. They just have to fit.

Right or Reconciled? by Joseph Garlington Pdf

Right or Reconciled? Reconciliation is more than a teaching for Pastor Joseph Garlingtonit is a life message. In this hard-hitting and thought-provoking book, Pastor Garlington emphasizes the need of the Church to be about Gods business of reconciling the world to Him. The message of reconciliation that the Church must declare is simple yet profound: God is not holding your sins against you! With this in mind, Joseph then focuses on more practical reconciliation issues and asks the question, Do you want to be right or reconciled? Your answer to this question will determine whether or not God can use you in the ministry of reconciliation. Pastor Garlington is at the forefront of modern reconciliation issues whether he is pastoring his church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or speaking at Promise Keepers rallies. If you are concerned about racial, gender, or denominational reconciliation, then this book is for you. And once you read it, you wont ever see reconciliation in the same light again.

A Light to the Nations by Michael W. Goheen Pdf

There is a growing body of literature about the missional church, but the word missional is often defined in competing ways with little attempt to ground it deeply in Scripture. Michael Goheen, a dynamic speaker and the coauthor of two popular texts on the biblical narrative, unpacks the missional identity of the church by tracing the role God's people are called to play in the biblical story. Goheen shows that the church's identity can be understood only when its role is articulated in the context of the whole biblical story--not just the New Testament, but the Old Testament as well. He also explores practical outworkings and implications, offering field-tested suggestions for contemporary churches.

Reconciled to Reconcile by Komi Ahiatroga Hiagbe Pdf

In the words of John Paul II, «A faith which does not become culture is a faith that has not been received, not thoroughly thought (through), nor fully lived out». It is for this reason that inculturation hermeneutics has become a useful reflective tool for many African students of Theology. In this work, the author argues that the concept of salvation in evangelical Christian thought as postulated in the works of the French Reformer John Calvin and that of African Traditional Religions do not connote the same idea nor lead to the same goals. In spite of the basic differences, he states that symbols, metaphors and some practices from the traditional religions of Africa can be employed as hermeneutical tools for the explanation of concepts of the Christian faith. The author therefore concludes that the Anlo-Ewe traditional religious practice of nugbidodo-ritual reconciliation best explains Christian salvation as man's reconciliation with God and constitutes a basis for the healing, deliverance, and a socio-economic advancement of the individual and the entire community.
