Without Disclosing My True Identity-The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith, Jr. by Christopher Pdf

In the early spring of 1820, Joseph Smith, Jr. claimed to have had an experience unlike any other ever recorded in human history. In his own words he states: "When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other-This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" (JSH 1:17) Joseph Smith testified to the world that two resurrected human beings presented themselves before him, whom the rest of the world would recognize as God, the Father and His Son, Jesus, the Christ. Later in 1823, three years after receiving what has become known as the First Vision, Joseph was again visited by a resurrected human being, who called himself Moroni: "He called me by name, and said unto me that he was a messenger sent from the presence of God to me, and that his name was Moroni; that God had a work for me to do; and that my name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues, or that it should be both good and evil spoken of among all people. He said there was a book deposited, written upon gold plates, giving an account of the former inhabitants of this continent, and the source from whence they sprang. He also said that the fullness of the everlasting Gospel was contained in it, as delivered by the Savior to the ancient inhabitants." (JSH 1:33-34) In both of these unprecedented experiences, Joseph Smith testified to the world that there are human beings who have once lived upon this earth, who died, and who were brought back to life (resurrected) as advanced and eternal human beings. These were the first recorded events that laid the foundation for a religious belief system known throughout the world as the Mormons-the largest and most powerful faction of Mormonism being the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Joseph's personal witness of these two events established an order and protocol of how divine intervention takes place between advanced and eternal human beings and the mortals upon this earth. With his own testimony, Joseph Smith outlined the official and ONLY authorized manner in which truth can be established upon this earth. In order for real truth to be established, a fully resurrected being must return to the earth and initiate its establishment. Without following this protocol, no other work can be deemed official and authorized. Ironically, since Joseph Smith, not even one of the mainstream Mormon/LDS leaders has claimed to have been visited by a resurrected human being and received instruction face-to-face from an advanced and eternal resurrected being. Regardless of how Mormon/LDS faith has deteriorated over the years since Joseph Smith, there has been ONLY one man who has ever claimed to have full access, not only to advanced and eternal human beings (ministering angels), but to the Three Nephite Apostles and to John the Beloved himself. That man is Christopher! Through Christopher, the resurrected Joseph Smith, Jr. will now finally disclose his true identity to the world and explain the real truth about what happened from the time that he as a young boy, first inquired into the concept of religious thought, to the time of his martyrdom in Carthage, Illinois on June 27, 1844. Through Christopher, and under the direct auspices of the resurrected Joseph, the real truth behind the establishment of an organized church, priesthood, ordinances, and everything else associated with his name will be revealed in its fullness. Without Disclosing My True Identity-The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. will answer all questions about the man and the religion that came forth from his time on earth.

Joseph Smith III by Roger D. Launius Pdf

This interesting, well-researched biography of the founder of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints covers the 54 years of his presidency, a tenure marked by Mormon factionalism that he succeeded in controlling. The son of the founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith III at first resisted succeeding his father as leader and prophet but, as his biographer underscores, his governance from 1860 until his death in 1914 was fiercely committed to the religious legacy of his parent. Differing in style from the elder Smith's "sometimes disastrous impracticality," his son exemplified rugged individualism with a secular pragmatism that sprang from his legal education. An opponent of polygamy, as proclaimed by Brigham Young, the younger Smith established a viable bureaucracy and a style of leadership that characterizes the Mormon community today, notes the author, a military historian.

Mormonism by Lee B. Baker Pdf

The fundamental difference that sets the Mormon Church apart from all truly Christian churches is the sinister and self-serving distortion of the very personality and character of the Lord Jesus Christ. For Mormonism to be true, Christ Himself must be corrupted into one who authorized horrible behaviour, thus rendering the past Mormon Prophets completely blameless concerning the motivations for their unspeakable actions.Within the formal teachings of the Mormon Church, Jesus Christ Himself, and not the Mormon Prophets, is the author of polygamy, polyandry, and blood atonement. Under His direction alone, Joseph Smith Jr. was "commanded" to take some thirty wives, two as young as fourteen years of age. Mormons are instructed that it was the Lord, and no one else, who required Joseph to take the wives of eleven other men as his own (known as polyandry), as well as two sets of sisters and a mother and her daughter as his wives, while at the same time attempting to become president of the United States of America.Brigham Young, as the living prophet of God, taught through "Divinely inspired revelation from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, the core values of blood atonement. Reportedly under direction from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, Brigham instructed that some sins of this world require the neck of the sinner to be slit from ear to ear so that the sinner's blood could atone for certain violations of Mormon doctrine. Mormons are taught that Brigham young also was commanded by the Lord to take fifty-five wives, including some previous wives of Joseph Smith.Defense of these disgusting misrepresentations of the very nature and character of the Lord continues today within the walls of Mormon chapels and Mormon temples throughout the world. This book examines real-world examples of how these beliefs are covered up so that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints might better hide among true believers in the compassionate Savior of all mankind, Christ Jesus. He and His holy name have been disgracefully used so that self-centered men might gain some measure of power, prestige, and perversion. This book recounts the true-life experiences of a Mormon Bishop, who for thirty years was a High Priest, Elders Quorum, and a member of three High Counsels for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormons. He has participated in hundreds of Mormon Temple Endowments and witnessed firsthand the practices of ceremonial rituals in which the taking of human life was mimicked, all in the name of Jesus Christ.

Falling in Love with Joseph Smith by Jane Barnes Pdf

When award-winning documentary film writer Jane Barnes was working on the PBS Frontline/American Experience special series The Mormons, she was surprised to find herself passionately drawn to Joseph Smith. The product of an Episcopalian, “WASPy” family, she couldn’t remember ever having met a Mormon before her work on the series—much less having dallied with the idea of converting to a religion shrouded in controversy. But so it was: She was smitten with a man who claimed to have translated the word of God by peering into the dark of his hat. In this brilliantly written book, Barnes describes her experiences working on the PBS series as she moved from secular curiosity to the brink of conversion to Mormonism. It all began when she came across Joseph Smith's early writings. She was delighted to discover how funny and utterly unique he was—and how widely divergent his wild yet profound visions of God were from the Church of Latter-day Saints as we know it today. Her fascination deepened when, much to her surprise, she learned that her eighth cousin Anna Barnes converted to Mormonism in 1833. Through Anna, Barnes follows her family’s close involvement with Smith and the crises caused by his controversial practice of polygamy. Barnes’ unlikely path helps her gain a newfound respect for the innovative American spirit that lies at the heart of Mormonism—and for a religion that is, in many ways, still coming into its own. An intimate portrait of the man behind one of America’s fastest growing religions, Falling in Love with Joseph Smith offers a surprising and provocative window into the Mormon experience.

Joseph Smith by Robert V. Remini Pdf

Robert Remini's work on the Jacksonian epoch has won him acclaim as well as the National Book Award. In Joseph Smith, he employs his keen insight and rich storytelling gift to explore one of the period's major figures. The most important reformer and innovator in American religious history, Joseph Smith has remained a fascinating enigma to many both inside and outside the Mormon Church he founded. Born in 1805, Smith grew up during the "Second Great Awakening," when secular tumult had spawned radical religious fervor and countless new sects. His contemplative nature and soaring imagination—the first of his many visions occurred at the age of fourteen—were nurtured in the close, loving family created by his deeply devout parents. His need to lead and be recognized was met by his mission as God's vehicle for a new faith and by the hundreds who, magnetized by his charm and charismatic preaching, gave rise to the Mormon Church. Remini brings Smith into unprecedented focus and contextualizes his enduring contribution to American life and culture within the distinctive characteristics of an extraordinary age.
