Discussion of Canadian experience since the late 1960s with workplace innovation. Illustrations are given of many of the more common approaches to change, from the limited forms focusing primarily on communications and the nature of individual jobs to more radical approaches involving widespread participation in management and total organization redesign. Examines the economic, social and political environment that have provided the background for technological change.
