DATA SCIENCE USING JDBC AND MYSQL WITH OBJECT-ORIENTED APPROACH AND APACHE NETBEANS IDE by Vivian Siahaan,Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar Pdf

This book uses the Sakila sample database which is a fictitious database designed to represent a DVD rental store. The 15 tables of the database include film, film_category, actor, customer, rental, payment and inventory among others. The Sakila sample database is intended to provide a standard schema that can be used for examples in books, tutorials, articles, samples, and so forth. You can download the sample database from http://viviansiahaan.blogspot.com/2023/04/data-science-using-jdbc-and-mysql-with.html. In this project, you will design the form for every table and you will plot: top 10 film distribution by release year; top 10 film distribution by rating; top 10 film distribution by rental duration; top 10 film distribution by language; film distribution by categorized rental rate; film distribution by categorized length; film distribution by categorized replacement cost; top 10 film distribution by actor name; top 10 actor name distribution by average rental rate; top 10 actor name distribution by average replacement cost; film distribution by rating; rating distribution by average rental rate; rating distribution by average replacement cost; top 10 film distribution by category name, category distribution by average replacement cost; category distribution by average rental rate; category distribution by length; top 10 city distribution by by country; top 10 address distribution by district, top 10 address distribution by country; top 10 address distribution by city; top 10 address distribution by district; top 10 address distribution by country; top 10 address distribution by city; top 10 inventory distribution by release year; top 10 inventory distribution by film rating; top 10 inventory distribution by film language; top 10 inventory distribution by film rental duration; top 10 inventory distribution by city; top 10 inventory distribution by country; top 10 customer distribution by country; top 10 customer distribution by city; top 10 customer distribution by district; top 10 customer distribution by store country; top 10 customer distribution by store city; top 10 customer distribution by store district; top 10 staff distribution by country; top 10 staff distribution by city; rental distribution by year of rental date; rental distribution by month of rental date; 10 rental distribution by week of rental date; rental distribution by day of rental date; rental distribution by quarter of rental date; rental distribution by film release year; rental distribution by film duration; rental distribution by film rating; top 10 rental distribution by staff name; rental distribution by film language; top 10 rental distribution by film title; rental distribution by customer active; top 10 rental distribution by film category; top 10 rental distribution by actor name; top 10 rental distribution by customer name; top 10 rental distribution by customer city; top 10 rental distribution by customer country, top 10 rental distribution by customer district; payment distribution by year of payment date; payment distribution by month of payment date; top 10 payment distribution by week of payment date; payment distribution by day of payment date; payment distribution by quarter of payment date; payment distribution by film release year; payment distribution by film duration; payment distribution by film rating; top 10 payment distribution by staff name; payment distribution by film language; top 10 payment distribution by film title; payment distribution by customer active; top 10 payment distribution by film category; top 10 payment distribution by actor name; top 10 payment distribution by customer name; top 10 payment distribution by customer city; top 10 payment distribution by customer country; and top 10 payment distribution by customer district.

Saving Animals by Elan Abrell Pdf

A fascinating and unprecedented ethnography of animal sanctuaries in the United States In the past three decades, animal rights advocates have established everything from elephant sanctuaries in Africa to shelters that rehabilitate animals used in medical testing, to homes for farmed animals, abandoned pets, and entertainment animals that have outlived their “usefulness.” Saving Animals is the first major ethnography to focus on the ethical issues animating the establishment of such places, where animals who have been mistreated or destined for slaughter are allowed to live out their lives simply being animals. Based on fieldwork at animal rescue facilities across the United States, Elan Abrell asks what “saving,” “caring for,” and “sanctuary” actually mean. He considers sanctuaries as laboratories where caregivers conceive and implement new models of caring for and relating to animals. He explores the ethical decision making around sanctuary efforts to unmake property-based human–animal relations by creating spaces in which humans interact with animals as autonomous subjects. Saving Animals illustrates how caregivers and animals respond by cocreating new human–animal ecologies adapted to the material and social conditions of the Anthropocene. Bridging anthropology with animal studies and political philosophy, Saving Animals asks us to imagine less harmful modes of existence in a troubled world where both animals and humans seek sanctuary.

Zooland by Irus Braverman Pdf

This book takes a unique stance on a controversial topic: zoos. Zoos have their ardent supporters and their vocal detractors. And while we all have opinions on what zoos do, few people consider how they do it. Irus Braverman draws on more than seventy interviews conducted with zoo managers and administrators, as well as animal activists, to offer a glimpse into the otherwise unknown complexities of zooland. Zooland begins and ends with the story of Timmy, the oldest male gorilla in North America, to illustrate the dramatic transformations of zoos since the 1970s. Over these decades, modern zoos have transformed themselves from places created largely for entertainment to globally connected institutions that emphasize care through conservation and education. Zoos naturalize their spaces, classify their animals, and produce spectacular experiences for their human visitors. Zoos name, register, track, and allocate their animals in global databases. Zoos both abide by and create laws and industry standards that govern their captive animals. Finally, zoos intensely govern the reproduction of captive animals, carefully calculating the life and death of these animals, deciding which of them will be sustained and which will expire. Zooland takes readers behind the exhibits into the world of zoo animals and their caretakers. And in so doing, it turns its gaze back on us to make surprising interconnections between our understandings of the human and the nonhuman.

Wild Life by Irus Braverman Pdf

Wild Life documents a nuanced understanding of the wild versus captive divide in species conservation. It also documents the emerging understanding that all forms of wild nature—both in situ (on-site) and ex situ (in captivity)—may need to be managed in perpetuity. Providing a unique window into the high-stakes world of nature conservation, Irus Braverman describes the heroic efforts by conservationists to save wild life. Yet in the shadows of such dedication and persistence in saving the life of species, Wild Life also finds sacrifice and death. Such life and death stories outline the modern struggle to define what conservation should look like at a time when the long-established definitions of nature have collapsed. Wild Life begins with the plight of a tiny endangered snail, and ends with the rehabilitation of an entire island. Interwoven between its pages are stories about golden lion tamarins in Brazil, black-footed ferrets in the American Plains, Sumatran rhinos in Indonesia, Tasmanian devils in Australia, and many more creatures both human and nonhuman. Braverman draws on interviews with more than one hundred and twenty conservation biologists, zoologists, zoo professionals, government officials, and wildlife managers to explore the various perspectives on in situ and ex situ conservation and the blurring of the lines between them.

Digest: Ten Short Stories by Convicted & Plausible People-Eaters by Evan Witmer Pdf

I've tracked down ten authors who have, at some point, participated in the act of cannibalism. I've collected one short story from each writer and combined them here for your amusement and observation. Isaac Cone presents “Margaritaville”, Jimmy Buffet’s hit song reinterpreted as a southern gothic. Sandeyu Yamamoto writes “Antiquing” about a family with a rare type of OCD where they haunt the object they most obsessed over. John Doe submits “Jesus Christ Meets the Chupacabra” which is exactly what it sounds like. Arsenio Alonso adds “A Vacancy in Staffordshire” about a team of researchers hunting for black-eyed kids in the British wilderness. Greige Wagner contributes “The Life & Times of a Rockefeller Pregnancy Zombie” about a girl who is hypnotized by the New World Order to feel unfathomable pain unless she uses her every egg for procreation. Mago Schlecter's brings us “Ring the Belles”, a mix between historical fiction and a slasher where the villain only kills the teenaged daughters of slave-owners in the Antebellum South. Cassius Crown surrenders "Zooland” about a cursed town where everyone is reduced to their id at night becoming either vicious wolves or delicious deer. Bonny Bride sends “Glee-Maiden”, a story about a woman seeking to make it in the male-dominated field of killer clowning. Matthew Hoga pens “Comorbidity”, the story of two different plagues of zombie with wildly different styles that collide in the ruins of Zhengzhou, China. Joss Iger authors “Six O’s”, the most light-hearted of the bunch, about a man who can only orgasm six more times before he can never do it again. I share these stories in hopes of emphasizing the unique voices oft ignored in favor of traditional masticators.
