The Making of America by W. Cleon Skousen Pdf

The United States of America has been blessed with the world’s greatest political success formula. In a little over a century, this formula allowed a small segment of the human family—less than 6 percent—to become the richest nation on earth. It allowed them to create more than half of the world’s total output in production and enjoy the highest standard of living in the history of the world. In this book, we learn how the Founding Fathers discovered this success formula. Much of this discovery is told in the words of the Founders themselves, so that the reader can feel the power of their minds sweeping away thousands of years of bad government and illogical laws to formulate a whole new society based on human freedom. By returning to the roots of the Founders’ thinking, and contemplating the logic that they used in establishing the Constitution, we can better understand the challenges and solutions that confront us in today’s political world. This eBook includes the original index, illustrations, footnotes, table of contents and page numbering from the printed format.

Freedom IS... by Kathleen Wensel Pdf

FREEDOM IS..A Book/Journal with a Twist! The twist is how this book came about. Started writing this August 1, 2001. Knew something horrific was going to happen but did not know who, what, when, where, why, and how? I was so sick, but I kept writing. Why was I writing about freedom? What is freedom to me? What is freedom to you. Think about it. What are your freedoms? Let's talk about them. This is why I kept writing about freedom. I think everyone should be free. Free to live their lives in harmony. Not to go after other people's freedoms. What that about? If you are not free and happy, do something about it. Change is good. Think about making a change in your life. Do not concentrate on what you do not want in your life. Concentrate on what you want in your life. Whether you want to change you job, location, divorce, etc. Just do it! When you read my freedoms, think about your freedoms. Then write them in the journal part of the book. Let's have some fun. What I want you to do is let me know what your freedoms are in your life. On the website let me know what you want me to write about. Everyone has different freedoms. Let me know what yours are. I may want to write another freedom book. WEBSITE:

The American Enterprise Manifesto by Jerry Rhoads Pdf

The people of the United States of America, take back their sovereignty, and reclaim their right to have a say in the policies and conduct of the government. The Author offers a third party alternative for those enterprising Americans who pay for the public sector and do not currently have fair representation or input to the system that has caused many fiscal, social, and foreign-relation problems that face this nation of 313 million citizens. It is not entitlement reform that we need, but rather, government reform. Any tax reform should eliminate taxes on adjusted taxable income and replace it with a flat 5 percent annual capital assessment on individual and corporate net worth. The new entitlements are eroding the American work ethic and need to be replaced with real, private-sector jobs that create a true return on our gross national product. The American Dream is built on work ethic. The will to work in a free market is inherited from their forefathers but sustained by each of them. While our country is on the verge of bankruptcy Congress and State Legislatures enacted over 40,000 new laws in 2010 costing $250 billion borrowed dollars we dont have plus $700 billion in stimulus, $1.2 trillion for Obama Care and turned on the Federal Reserve printing presses for another $1 trillion for enforcement, unfunded public service pensions, salary raises for themselves and the bureaucrats. To make things worse the Federal and State Governments understate their deficits by using the cash basis of accounting. For example the Federal deficit is $123 trillion after factoring in accounts payable and pension debt. These pension systems are extraordinarily diverse in design, investment policy, and governance, and they face substantial challenges as the government-sector workforce ages and governments are asked to take on new and different tasks. The new entitlements need a major overhaul. To avoid depriving enterprise of much-needed capital to create jobs, we need to reduce American workers dependency on unemployment benefits, minimum wage, workers compensation, food stamps, welfare, and Obama Care. (Obama Care will use enforcement agencies for collecting taxes, and waste depleted tax revenues treating illness not pursuing wellness).

Due Process and International Terrorism by Roza Pati Pdf

This book is unique as it comprehensively analyzes the international guarantees of due process in criminal law ranging from arrest and detention to other pre-trial procedures to the trial itself and appeals, both in times of normalcy and in times of emergency, against the background of the “Global War on Terror.” Relevant jurisprudence of universal and regional human rights systems is complemented by pertinent customary international law, including humanitarian law, and pertinent guarantees in the hybrid systems of international criminal tribunals. These international due process norms are then compared with pertinent United States criminal procedure, both in times of peace and times of emergency, including the most recent treatment and adjudication of terrorist suspects in Guantánamo and beyond. The book ends with an appraisal of these past measures of counter-terrorism and recommendations regarding the proper balance to be struck between the due process interests of the accused and the security interests of the community.

The Goslings: A Study of the American Schools by Upton Sinclair Pdf

This book aims to demonstrate how the invisible pressure from prominent corporations controls American society and the education system. The book was written in response to public comment by Dr Tildsley in May 1922 that schools are no longer run to the benefit of children. This statement is the book's thesis, which is informative and persuasive. It examines details of the schooling system, the curriculum and the politics surrounding schools in America.

Epic of Being George Washington by Festus Ogunbitan Pdf

Purpose of writing this play is to reclaim the dream of the Father of our Nation, President George Washington by adapting his brainy quotes into Greek style epideictic drama. Also, I wish to explore the conflicts and issues in dialectic of exchange and reply in the political responses of King George III of England, and President George Washington who represented the thirteen colonies of America in the struggle for Americas Independence and democratic rule. I have dramatized President Washington, and King George IIIs arguments based on the articles of the Declaration of Independence through the logic of stated assumptions, and unstated assumptions to discuss the logical soundness of the disputes made by each faction on monarchy and democratic rule. I have critically analyzed their line of reasonings with the method of Aristotles catharsis and intellectual purification of the soul. Although democracy has been around since the time of the Greeks, but I have examined the recurring ideologies in the evolution of democracy from the Roman era through the overthrow of King Tarquin the proud, 496 B.C., and the emergence of the first twenty senators or Rex Sacrorum, to the foundation of the new democratic system of government, and the reaffirmation of another four year period of presidency during the period of Quinctius Cincinnatus 456 B.C.. The collapse of the full establishment of democratic government came during the time of Julius Caesar 44 B.C. in the early Roman Republican period; but hope for a free and fair world of democratic government of the people, by the people, and for the people returned through President George Washington in the 1776 A.D. According to Charlene Spretnak in The Resurgence of the Real--Body, Nature, and Place in a Hypermodern World, this evolution of political governance can be called a social process of culture.'
