More Plutos by Sue Kientz Pdf

Astronomers may have demoted Pluto, but astrologers know better. Pluto is powerful and essential to their work. But few appreciate that there are MORE PLUTOS in the Kuiper Belt, more important bodies astrologers and others interested in the craft should be using in chart work. Author Sue Kientz addresses her primer on the new Dwarf Planets to astrological professionals or anyone studying astrology in depth. General readers may nevertheless enjoy learning which celebrities have connections to these massive bodies, since those examples as well as famous disasters (9-11, Challenger explosion, JFK assassination) and achievements (light-bulb invention, Moon landing) are presented in engaging detail. Kientz analyzes Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Sedna, Quaoar, Orcus, Varuna, Ixion, and others, while revealing why Secondary Progression works and how astrology delivered convincing results even before modern planets were discovered. Planetary patterns are demonstrated to have fractal structure, suggesting astrology has a promising underlying scientific basis. Sue Kientz (B.A., Theater, Adelphi University; M.A., English, University of New Orleans) first became interested in astrology in 1977 when she decided to conduct a long-term study of zodiac signs to investigate literary symbolism. Originally skeptical that astrology could have any value, after learning how to calculate charts, she was intrigued by the results. Kientz always included the large asteroids in her chart work, but after working with new Kuiper-Belt discoveries Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Sedna, and others, she realized they provided the finishing touches astrology needs to deliver its unique view of people and events in a simple, straightforward manner. Discovering Eris by Keiron Le Grice Pdf

In astrology, each planet in our solar system is symbolically associated with specific archetypes, characteristics, themes and patterns in human experience. The discovery in 2005 of Eris -- a dwarf planet beyond Pluto -- was therefore an event of great significance for astrology as well as astronomy. In this unique book, Keiron Le Grice considers the astrological significance of Eris. How, he asks, can we determine Eris's meaning? What archetypal themes is it associated with? In what ways might the myths of Eris, the Greek goddess of strife, be relevant to the astrological meaning? What can Eris's discovery tell us about the evolutionary challenges we now face? Drawing on a wide variety of perspectives -- including mythology, ecology, religion, history, philosophy and Jungian psychology -- Le Grice carefully constructs a multi-faceted picture of Eris's possible meaning, helping to illuminate the unprecedented events of our time and providing clues to our possible future directions.

Pluto by Richard Grossinger Pdf

Encompassing astronomy, mythology, psychology, and astrology, Pluto offers a wealth of knowledge about our most famous dwarf planet. First observed in 1930 and once defined as the ninth and final planet in our solar system, Pluto and its discovery and reclassification throw a unique light on how we generate meaning in science and culture. This anthology, timed to appear in concordance with NASA’s New Horizons's approach to Pluto in July 2015, shows that while the astronomical Pluto may be little more than an ordinary escaped moon or tiny Kuiper Belt object, it is a powerful hyperobject, for its mythological and cultural effigies on Earth incubate deep unconscious seeds of the human psyche. Certain astronomical features pertain to Pluto in terms of its distance from the Sun, coldness, and barrenness. These also inform its mythology and astrology as befitting a planet named after the God of the Underworld. Among the issues central to this collection are the meanings of darkness, loss, grief, inner transformation, rebirth, reincarnation, and karmic revelation, all of which are associated with the astrology of Pluto. Pluto also embodies the meaning of true wealth as being nonmaterial essence instead of property, conventional accolades, ego identity, achievement. It is the marker of negative capability. The Astrology of Haumea by Alan Clay,Melissa Billington Pdf

This is the first of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University. Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Haumea manifests in our daily lives with example case studies. There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Haumea in context. Many astrologers believe that new planets are discovered when we are ready to incorporate the new consciousness represented by that planet into our existing consciousness. We've noticed this with the discovery of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto over the last two hundred years, and now with the discovery of ten more planets we're entering a period of rapid consciousness development. Our personal consciousness develops within the collective consciousness around us, and we see this personal consciousness mapped out in the personal planets in our chart. These are the planets out to Saturn that are visible to the naked eye, and they talk about facets of our personality that are important in living day to day. The inner planets represent aspects of personality, and the outer planets represent aspects of consciousness. So, as each new outer planet is discovered, it represents a new aspect of consciousness that is coming available to us. The discovery of Uranus brought us intuitive consciousness, the discovery of Neptune, spiritual consciousness, and the discovery of Pluto, psychological consciousness. So, the discovery of Haumea represents a new aspect of consciousness that is becoming available to us. Put simply Haumea takes the psychic opening of Neptune and turns it into real psychic connection with the oneness of our existence, with the magic of being alive. However, this new consciousness doesn't kick in automatically, rather we must actively incorporate it into our lives. And because these outer planets talk of consciousness, how they manifest in our lives depends on our current level of consciousness. Most people on the planet experience the outer planets as unconscious influences, where these esoteric new energies are only perceived when, like Pluto, they barge into our lives in a confrontational way, because we haven't been sensitive and adaptable in the lead up. As we develop spiritually, however, and consciously on-board these new energies into our lives, they become like guides into new territory, offering us special skills or challenges, depending on the aspects in our chart. At this level, rather than unconscious influences, the outer planets become like a new super-consciousness.

Finding Our Center by Heather M. Ensworth Ph. D. Pdf

Integrating astrology, mythology and spirituality, this book is a reflection on the themes of the astrological ages across the past 13,000 years and is an exploration of what astrology has to tell us about the meaning of the changes happening globally and culturally in this time. We are currently on the cusp of the Age of Aquarius, at the end of a 26,000 year precessional cycle and, according to ancient prophecies, at the close of a world era. With the recent discovery of the planetoids Sedna and Eris, new forms of consciousness are entering our awareness. Through listening to the messages of the stars and planets, we find guidance for our lives in this intense time of change. We live in a sentient universe, which is calling us back into relationship with the cosmos and with the Earth. In remembering our source (the galactic center), reconnecting with the spirit in all of life and in becoming centered within ourselves, we gain meaning and wisdom for who we are and who we are becoming and find a path for the healing and evolution of ourselves and our Earth.

The Astrology of Makemake by Alan Clay,Melissa Billington Pdf

This is the second of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University. Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Makemake manifests in our daily lives with example case studies. There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Makemake in context. When our consciousness is focussed on the inner planets, everything that is important is our feelings, our ideas and values, our agency and the luck and material rewards that these bring us. "You can't take it with you, right?" And at this level we tend not to be conscious of the action of the outer planets in our lives. The inner planets represent aspects of personality, while the outer planets represent aspects of consciousness. As each new outer planet is discovered, it represents a new aspect of consciousness that is becoming available to us. The discovery of Uranus brought us intuitive consciousness, the discovery of Neptune, spiritual consciousness, and the discovery of Pluto, psychological consciousness. So, the discovery of Makemake represents a new aspect of consciousness that we can now uncover in ourselves. Put simply, Makemake takes the intuitive understanding of Uranus and turns it into a rich contextual understanding, into a wisdom or a cosmic consciousness. The Twilight of Pluto by John Michael Greer Pdf

• Explains in detail how the demotion or proved nonexistence of a planet marks the beginning of a roughly 30-year period in which that planet’s influence wanes • Explores Pluto’s arc of influence on individual and collective life in depth, from its discovery in 1930 to the end of its influence in 2036 • Offers examples from other demoted planets, such as Ceres, whose fifty-year reign as a planet corresponds very closely to the Romantic Era of history Recent research in astrology has shown that the discovery of a new planet correlates with the emergence of a new set of influences in individual and collective life. As John Michael Greer reveals, the opposite is also true: the demotion of a planet correlates with the decline of a set of influences into the background. Exploring the waxing and waning of planetary influences in astrology, Greer explains in detail how the demotion or proved nonexistence of a planet marks the beginning of a roughly 30-year period in which that planet’s influence fades out. He examines several examples of planet demotion, including Ceres, whose influence began to take shape some 30 years before its discovery in 1801 and gradually faded over the three decades following its demotion in the 1850s. Examining Pluto’s astrological influence in depth, from the beginning of the search for “Planet X” in 1900 to the end of its influence in 2036, the author shows how during the Plutonian era the concept of cosmos--from the ancient Greek meaning “that which is beautifully ordered”--was in eclipse. Pluto’s influence led to the rejection of unity, beauty, and order, exemplified through the splitting of the atom by physicists, the splitting of the individual into conscious and subconscious halves by psychoanalysts, and the splitting of the world into warring camps by politicians. Offering an essential guide not only to the astrology of the future but also to the twilight of the Plutonian era, Greer shows how as Pluto’s influence fades out in the years ahead, a great many disruptive phenomena of the recent past will fade with it.

The Ephemeris of Trans-Neptunian KBO Planets by Henry Seltzer Pdf

In the ephemeris pages that follow, the positions of the four Kuiper Belt Object (hereafter KBO) planets Pluto, Eris, Makemake, and Haumea, are given from 1900 to 2050, once a week at midnight on Sundays. The calculations are for Greenwich, England, and are based on the Swiss Ephemeris from Astrodienst, version 2.10, as of March 2021. Although major feminine asteroid Ceres is also now labeled 'dwarf planet, ' she resides in the Asteroid belt and her meaning in Western Astrology is relatively well-known, so that she will not be part of this discussion. Also, while it is possible that other KBOs will eventually be named as planets, the IAU as of this writing has no plans to do so.1 The meaning of Pluto is well-known, so we will concentrate on these three new ones. Eris is of a size, density, and brightness to rival Pluto and has been shown to be quite significant in chart work. Makemake and Haumea are smaller, but still these four are the largest known Kuiper Belt Objects. In this Introduction we will provide evidence for the astrological significance of all three of these new KBO planets. After many years of study into these very interesting bodies as they relate to Western Astrology, I have been able to come to the conclusion that they are all quite significant in charts. My earlier research focused on Eris and resulted in the idea that this new outer planet represents a Feminine Warrior archetype in support of soul intention. This is related to life purpose, references deep inner values, and represents as well a dedication to principle that is so strong that it can border on the violent at times. All this has been documented in my book, The Tenth Planet, published by The Wessex Astrologer. Since the publication date of this work in the spring of 2015, the evidence along these lines continues to pile up, so that I am more confirmed than ever in this delineation. Over and over, I have found Eris to be incredibly powerful in both natal and forecasting astrology. In the first section of this introduction, I will share key example charts that testify to her astrological meaning. Henry Seltzer presents to us, in addition to his most interesting and informative book on Eris, his current work on Makemake and Haumea, those other "trans-Neptunian" bodies named as planets. Henry has done this not only through his extensive studies as to their meaning, but also with an ephemeris for their positions through 2050, so that we as astrologers might make due experiment and come to integrate them (or not!) into our personal astrological system of interpretation. -Alan Oken, author of Soul-Centered Astrology Astrologers cannot fathom the meaning of new worlds unless we know where they are. With this ephemeris of newly-discovered planets, Henry Seltzer has opened that doorway for us all. He has also shared the results of his own profound research out there beyond the Neptunian frontier. For any astrologer on the cutting edge of our field, this volume is a mission-critical necessity. -Steven Forrest, author of The Inner Sky

Archetypes of Astrology by Ena Stanley Pdf

In Archetypes of Astrology, author Ena Stanley blends the themes of planets, signs and houses with their ancient mythological origins in a way that provides a useful and interesting introduction to the basics of astrology for readers who have little or no prior experience with astrological techniques. At the same time, she offers an enriching and enjoyable reading experience for advanced students and professional astrologers, or for readers whose primary interest is mythology. In the opening chapter, involving the evolution of astrology into the modern day, the reader is drawn in with Stanley's explanation of the patriarchal matrix and the matriarchal matrix and how in modern astrology, both have been blended into a workable paradigm. From there she shares how she began to develop her sense of the twelve basic astrological archetypes through her studies of psychology and of astrology, in particular with Zipporah Dobyns, Ph.D. In the chapters that follow, each of twelve basic archetypes blend astrology with a wealth of imagery through stories of myths that are rich in metaphor, adding new dimensions to our understanding of the signs, houses and planets of basic astrology. The mythologies behind Sun, Moon and the seven planets are further augmented with the correlations of dwarf planet Ceres and asteroids Pallas, Juno and Vesta with the 6th and 7th archetypes. Additionally, as the author points out in her concluding chapter, the study of myths and archetypes takes us into a greater understanding of motivations and behavior-to the essence of counseling astrology.

Brother Pluto, Sister Eris by Thomas Canfield Pdf

History has been full of battles, wars, and times of upheaval that lead to greater struggles. What if we were to look at these events as crime scenes, in which murder takes place at an extreme level? If we were to examine each crime scene, we would find two persons of interest who would bear closer attention. These persons of interest are Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, and Eris, Lady of Discord. Today, we know them only as dwarf planets, far out at the edge of the solar system. Yet, by observing their orbits and aspects, we can see that they appear at the crime scenes of the most violent events of history. When there have been cooperative aspects between these two dwarf planets, that was when the biggest struggles have taken place, such as World War II, the Taiping Rebellion, and the Thirty Years War. Challenging aspects between the dwarf planets have shown confused fighting, lopsided victories, and achievements which seem good at the time but which bring disaster later on. Conjunctions between these bodies can be a time of treachery, leading to a collapse of international power. This book examines 800 years of major aspects between these two bodies. Their appearances at times of trouble are well-documented. Astrological charts for the events provide snapshots of the crime scenes, with these bodies making a connection. There are also charts for historical figures taking part in these upheavals, with descriptions of how the dwarf planet transits were aspecting their natal charts. Thomas Canfield has previously examined the role of dwarf planet Eris in his book "Yankee Doodle Discord: A Walk with Planet Eris through USA History." His book explained the idea of the Eris Frenemy Principle, in which the most discord takes place when Eris is in cooperative aspects. In his work with historical events, he has found that connections between Eris and Pluto mark the most destructive times between nations or within nations. "Brother Pluto, Sister Eris" is an expansion upon this theme, showing how the cycles of the dwarf planets match the most violent cycles with humanity. Can future generations resist these cycles of violence, or will survival depend upon moving to the most neutral spot and then waiting out the conflict?
