If the results obtained substantiate the claimed identity of t e dye and its com lianc'e with the standards of purity, a certificate assi ning a lot num er to the batch is'issued by the bureau to the manu acturer. If the bureau's examination shows that the product does not conform to the requirements for certifica tion, the batch is rejected for use in foods.
