Amounts varied from about 2 inches or more. In the southeast lowlands to less than half an inch in the northwest plateau. As a rule most of the precipita tion occurred during the last week, or last ten days. During the first. 24 days the precipitation was almost inappreciable in the southwest plain, and in the northwest plateau the first 16 days were dry; and the other divisions from the 4th to about the 17th of the month were practically rainless.
