Confliction of the Heart and Mind by Leon Ivy Pdf

This collection of poems is based on what my heart, mind, and soul went through. Yes, it all started when I didnt know who my real father was. Even to this day, I dont know. I coped with relationships that I thought was good for me but wasnt. I led myself to believe that it was okay to feel the way I felt. So I started writing, and it gave me a sense of peace. I found my Heavenly Father, and even though I had peace, I still lacked that physical connection I felt I never had. Through my writing, I felt in my heart that everyone who went through what I went through handled it differently. I do want to clear up one thing about my writing. Its not physical; its more emotional and mental than anything. I struggled, but through my writing, I made it, and now I want to share my heartache, emotional roller coaster, and mental stability. I hope writing of what I felt in my life can relate to your problem and that, through my writing, I can help you realize that you are a special person in the eye of our Heavenly Father. No matter what life throws at you, you can make it. I hope you enjoy the poems.

Bridging Troubled Waters by Michelle LeBaron Pdf

Bridging Troubled Waters is about a robust and holistic approach to resolving conflict. It begins where much of the currently accepted theory and practice in the field leaves off. Like a hand pulling back the curtain from parts of us that have been closeted away, this book reveals ways we can use more of ourselves in addressing conflict. Moving beyond the analytic and the intellectual, it situates our efforts at bridging conflict in the very places where conflict is born--relationships. From relationships come connection, meaning, and identity. It is through awareness of connection, shared meaning, and respect for identity that conflicts are transformed.

Think from the Heart, Love from the Mind by Gian Kumar Pdf

Thinking from the heart, absurd as it may seem, is an experience we all need to go through. Thinking and creating from the heart will only make you unite and embrace with emotion, without any illusions, doubts, analysis, ego or judgment. It is higher than logic or reason and will enunciate the mind to transcend beyond its thought processes. Meaning, if we separate the heart from the mind, or allow one to rule, it is bound to oppose the other, leading to pain and conflict. Imagine how constricted our thoughts would be, if the heart was not there to loosen them and bring flexibility. Mind, on the other hand, is mischievous; it not only wishes to dictate to the heart, but tortures and rules our life. We become lonely in our minds with thoughts of self - I, me and mine. The mind controls when we should be happy or sad; it even orders the heart, how and when to express or suppress our emotions. Both cannot be left on their own, say heart on its own will only fantasize into emotions, hopes and dreams. To counter, and bring them back into oneness or totality, we need to learn the art of being in the awareness of now, through intuition and impulses, beyond thoughts. It is the amalgamation of the two, which leads us back to our source, the oneness in which we are born to live. This book will reveal to you, not only how to love and think, with heart and mind togetherness, but also to go beyond these two into the realm of oneness, awareness and infinity.

Cross-Cultural Dialogue as a Conflict Management Strategy by J. Martín Ramírez,Gracia Abad-Quintanal Pdf

This book contributes to the current knowledge and research on conflict and cross-cultural dialogue, emphasizing how respect, tolerance and dialogue may be quite effective tools for bridging the diverse cultures and, consequently, for solving many of the conflicts of today’s world, characterized by a dynamic interchange of populations with very diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. For this purpose, we rely on reputed scholars from ten different countries, and from different cultures and fields of expertise, which allows for diverse contributions from a valuable interdisciplinary perspective. The first section of the book deals with the correlation between cultural differences and conflict, while also showing how such conflicts can be prevented and, should they arise, managed and solved. The second section addresses a different, more specific issue: how cultural expression means and tools for cultural communication may lead to conflict whereas they may help to avoid it as well. Finally, the third section analyzes how legal and justice systems deal with cross-cultural conflicts as well as with situations which may lead to cross-cultural conflicts, thus assessing to which extent such systems contribute to avoid and/or solve such kind of conflicts.

To Argue Logically Or with Heart by Saida SEDDIK Pdf

"To Argue Logically or with Heart- Mind and Belief" written by Dr. Saida Seddik, is considered an Intellectual contribution which shows the capability to expose modern issues and give the solutions to solve them. The author was able to resemble the everlasting conflict between logic and belief or mind and heart. Ever since the dawn of creation, this conflict occurred and will continue to occur till the last day of life. However, this book is an effective way to put the mind and belief in an open dialogue by implanting a new system of thinking and approaching modern issues of capitalism and imperialism. In addition to new ideas, this book has summed up about the conflict modern style of life is going through. It states that the conflict is embodied here as a conflict between two systems which are the imperialism and communism, the industrial and knowledge, modern and traditional, secular and spiritual, this conflict between two systems would lead in a better situation if people take the responsibility to act. The effectiveness of the people position is primordial to make the real change, their capacity to fight back, their instinct to fight their will to change weakened by strong and powerful corporations, tyrannical governments which impose the modeled system. The system which only benefit the elite without offering justice to worker class and middle class with small business that keeps the economy on. This injustice, the lack of justice: social, economic, political, and environment justice affect society, cause inflation, decrease the capability of purchase, and cause violence. The author discusses the imperialism system in all its levels: social, economic, political, environmental, and in technology. Her conception is based on philosophical, social, and futurist studies, she offers a specific approach from a new point of view. Therefore, this book is not a copy of what has been written before, but it is an attempt to foresee the future by introducing new ideas in a logical way using different methods to reveal the hidden truth. This book is so important for many reasons. Firstly, it attempts to interpret the rapid changes that happened to the world in the economic, social and political aspects from the middle of the twentieth century to the twenty-first century. Secondly, it uncovers the ugly face of imperialism and neo-colonialism which try to survive the critical economic, political and ideological collapse by the military invasion of the Third World, especially the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The book explains that the true and main reason for this invasion is exploiting the natural resources of those areas. Thirdly, the book is a call for all human beings to come together despite all the differences in order to establish a new social system based on justice to all mankind in every known aspect, and thus, achieve love, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. This book is divided into three chapters: Human Rights and Modernity, Imperialism Facing Impasse and Imperialism and the Future. The three chapters are connected together in a natural and logical way that flows smoothly from one topic to another in order to achieve the best understanding of what really is going on secretly under the table. The first chapter, Human Rights and Modernity, exposes the fake modernity and the universal declaration of human rights. How come declaring the human rights happens in the same time when genocides happen?! No wise human being would fail to understand that the so-called "human rights" was a western product to secure the welfare of western citizens at the expense of the welfare of non-western citizens. It is best described as thirty dead articles that will remain unachieved in the underdeveloped countries. Then, it shifts to talk about equality and whether or not it leads to justice. As a result, it discusses the compassion of Islam and the flexibility of the Islamic Law in serving the actual human right

Principles And Laws In World Politics: Classical Chinese Perspectives On Global Conflict by Walter Wan Fai Lee Pdf

The search for universal principles and laws in world politics is a colossal common task for all civilisations. It should not be monopolised by the Western liberal paradigm. Thirty years after the end of the Cold War, global conflicts have been satisfactorily resolved neither by communism nor liberalism. Humanitarian intervention, now under the cover of the responsibility to protect (R2P), has destabilised many societies, leaving justice undone. This inspiring book invites debates on the post-liberal imagination of 'emancipated Leviathan': an almighty political authority which exercises awe and force to restore order, as well as enshrines globally-negotiated values of common conscience and reinvented cosmopolitanism. Human well-being will truly become reality when we synergise pre-modern and pre-liberal ways of thinking, worldviews, ethics, and aesthetic styles by means of cross-civilisational, cross-disciplinary fundamental research, and let an emancipated Leviathan exercises principles and laws of virtue derived from the study. The starting point of such intellectual innovation is China. This book explores the application of classical Chinese resources to the innovation of thoughts in contemporary Chinese international relations (IR). It examines whether 'Knowledge Archaeology of Chinese International Relations' (KACIR), coined by the author, responds sensibly to today's issues of international ethics and global justice. The book contends that emancipative hermeneutics holds the key to the Chinese soft power puzzle. A bottom-up, non-nationalistic, and non-ethnocentric approach to the Chinese civilisation will reinvent intellectual pluralism and cosmopolitan elements in the Chinese tradition that interact constructively with and ultimately transcend the liberal Western model. Strolling from contemporary IR back to ancient Chinese philosophy, then striding into the future searching for common principles and laws, this insightful book is a must-read for those who want to reflect on global conflicts in this era of great uncertainty and transformation, as well as those who love to make our world a better place to live in.

Conflict and Harmony in Comparative Philosophy by Aaron B. Creller Pdf

The topic of “Conflict and Harmony” exists across many cultures. As a collection of essays from comparative philosophers around the world, this volume represents the latest research on cross-cultural approaches to issues of conflict and the possibilities of harmony. Composed of papers presented at the 2013 Joint Meeting of the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy and the Australasian Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy, the book offers contributions from both early career academics and long-standing researchers, with topics spanning various historical times and places. Subjects explored here include approaches to classical understandings of harmony and conflict from different contexts, the connection embodied experience has with conflict and harmony, and political approaches to harmony and conflict. Through discussions of Indian, Chinese, Greek, and contemporary philosophy, these papers represent the cutting edge of comparative work and its overlaps with history, religious studies, and political science.
