Bibliography by Pierre Villars,Karin Cenzual,Marinella Penzo Pdf
By browsing about 10 000 000 scientific articles of over 200 major journals mainly in a 'cover to cover approach' some 200 000 publications were selected. The extracted data is part of the following fundamental material research fields: crystal structures (S), phase diagrams (also called constitution) (C) and the comprehensive field of intrinsic physical properties (P). This work has been done systematically starting with the literature going back to 1900. The above mentioned research field codes (S, C, P) as well as the chemical systems investigated in each publication were included in the present work. The aim of the Inorganic Substances Bibliography is to provide researchers with a comprehensive compilation of all up to now published scientific publications on inorganic systems in only three handy volumes.

Chemical Thermodynamics of Materials by Svein Stølen,Tor Grande Pdf
A comprehensive introduction, examining both macroscopic and microscopic aspects of the subject, the book applies the theory of thermodynamics to a broad range of materials; from metals, ceramics and other inorganic materials to geological materials. Focusing on materials rather than the underlying mathematical concepts of the subject, this book will be ideal for the non-specialist requiring an introduction to the energetics and stability of materials. Macroscopic thermodynamic properties are linked to the underlying miscroscopic nature of the materials and trends in important properties are discussed. A unique approach covering both macroscopic and microscopic aspects of the subject Authors have worldwide reputations in this area Fills a gap in the market by featuring a wide range of real up-to-date examples and covering a large amount of materials

Materials Chemistry by Bradley D. Fahlman Pdf
The 3rd edition of this successful textbook continues to build on the strengths that were recognized by a 2008 Textbook Excellence Award from the Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA). Materials Chemistry addresses inorganic-, organic-, and nano-based materials from a structure vs. property treatment, providing a suitable breadth and depth coverage of the rapidly evolving materials field — in a concise format. The 3rd edition offers significant updates throughout, with expanded sections on sustainability, energy storage, metal-organic frameworks, solid electrolytes, solvothermal/microwave syntheses, integrated circuits, and nanotoxicity. Most appropriate for Junior/Senior undergraduate students, as well as first-year graduate students in chemistry, physics, or engineering fields, Materials Chemistry may also serve as a valuable reference to industrial researchers. Each chapter concludes with a section that describes important materials applications, and an updated list of thought-provoking questions.

Inorganic Chemistry in Tables by Nataliya Turova Pdf
The present supplement to Inorganic Chemistry courses is developed in the form of reference schemes, presenting the information on one or several related element derivatives and their mutual transformations within one double-sided sheet. The compounds are placed from left to right corresponding to the increase in the formal oxidation number of the element considered. For each distinct oxidation state the upper position in the column is occupied by an oxide, its hydrated forms, followed then by basic (and oxo-) and normal salts. The position of each compound in this scheme is unambiguously determined in this approach by the central atom oxidation number (in the horizontal direction) and the nature of ligand (in the vertical one), which simplifies considerably the search for necessary information. The mutual transformations are displayed by arrows accompanied by the reagents or other factors responsible for the reaction (red arrows mean oxidation, green arrows mean reduction, black arrows – if the oxidation number is not changed). Modern training programs require the mastering of a tremendous amount of data. The present tables should serve as a useful addition to textbooks and lectures.

Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Security and Protection against CBRN Threats by Plamen Petkov,Mohammed Essaid Achour,Cyril Popov Pdf
This book is based on the lectures and contributions of the NATO Advanced Study Institute on “Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Security and Protection Against CBRN Threats” held in Sozopol, Bulgaria, September 2019. It gives a broad overview on this topic as it combines articles addressing the preparation and characterization of different nanoscaled materials (metals, oxides, glasses, polymers, carbon-based, etc.) in the form of nanowires, nanoparticles, nanocomposites, nanodots, thin films, etc. and contributions on their applications in diverse security and safety related fields. In addition, it presents an interdisciplinary approach drawing on the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology know-how of authors from Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science and Biology. A further plus-point of the book, which represents the knowledge of experts from over 20 countries, is the combination of longer papers introducing the background on a certain topic, and brief contributions highlighting specific applications in different security areas.
