I saw me in my two-year-old daughter. I saw 22 years into the future. My daughter searching for a hero, only to be rescued by a monster. Yes, I left my sons. I didn't abandon them, but I did leave them with their father. I received a lot of backlash allowing my 10- and 12-year-old sons to decide if they wanted to start over a new life with their mother or stay in their big house with maids and unlimited resources. I regret that decision every day, and I will for the rest of my life. I realize that no one really knows what the best decision is when it comes to raising children, and divorce. What matters is that my children forgave me, and I forgave myself.
