Advanced Applications in Osmotic Computing by Revathy, G. Pdf

The interaction of various service models, including edge computing and cloud computing, are quickly changing to better support microservices. This intricate weave of technology and information sharing is necessary to build systems that run faster and more efficiently. The interplay between these computing methods and microservices is emerging as the field of Osmotic Computing. Experts can now embark on an intellectual journey into data-driven exploration and ingenuity with the guidance of the book, Advanced Applications in Osmotic Computing. As ethical considerations become rising concerns, the potential biases, privacy encumbrances, and equitable conundrums of osmotic computing are investigated. This book offers judicious strategies to navigate these quandaries conscientiously, adding a layer of responsibility to the discourse. Within these pages, the very fabric of understanding in IoT, Cloud, Edge, Fog, and Machine Learning is redefined, marking a pivotal shift in the paradigm of technological comprehension. This book is an epicenter for the latest evolutions in osmotic computing, unfurling unconventional methodologies that shape the trajectory of data-driven decision-making. Readers will plunge into the theoretical bedrock, simultaneously witnessing pragmatic applications that adeptly bridge the schism between the theoretical constructs and pragmatic realization. The intended audience is multifaceted, encompassing data scientists, machine learning engineers, researchers, academics, educators, students, industry practitioners, interdisciplinary experts, and technology and business leaders.

Camels, Tigers & Unicorns: Re-thinking Science And Technology-enabled Innovation by Phadke Uday,Vyakarnam Shailendra Pdf

The commercialisation of science and technology enabled innovation is a serious topic of interest for a wide range of global audiences who share one common objective: to understand how science and technology based ideas can be turned into commercial value more effectively. Despite the vast number of publications addressing entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy there is relatively little in the literature which systematically addresses the structures, processes and mechanisms involved in turning ideas into commercially valuable propositions: this book is intended to directly address this gap. The approach in Camels, Tigers & Unicorns consists of three fundamental strands: Research insights based on Phadke and Vyakarnam's large data set covering the different players, technologies, products and services, market spaces, customers and business modelsThe creation of an explicit new conceptual framework which provides an integrated narrative describing how science and technology-enabled innovation is commercialisedThe provision of tools and examples which can be used by firms to develop strategies, agree on priorities and generate plans. The contents of this book should be of interest to a wide range of audiences including entrepreneurs; leaders and managers in technology firms; scientists and technologists engaged in innovation in academic institutions and corporate environments; lone inventors; groups of scientific entrepreneurs operating outside recognised structures; business and strategy consultants; managers of public and private 'intervention agencies' such as incubators and accelerators; investors; and, policy makers.

Quantum Computing: Physics, Blockchains, And Deep Learning Smart Networks by Melanie Swan,Renato P Dos Santos,Frank Witte Pdf

Quantum information and contemporary smart network domains are so large and complex as to be beyond the reach of current research approaches. Hence, new theories are needed for their understanding and control. Physics is implicated as smart networks are physical systems comprised of particle-many items interacting and reaching criticality and emergence across volumes of macroscopic and microscopic states. Methods are integrated from statistical physics, information theory, and computer science. Statistical neural field theory and the AdS/CFT correspondence are employed to derive a smart network field theory (SNFT) and a smart network quantum field theory (SNQFT) for the orchestration of smart network systems. Specifically, a smart network field theory (conventional or quantum) is a field theory for the organization of particle-many systems from a characterization, control, criticality, and novelty emergence perspective. This book provides insight as to how quantum information science as a paradigm shift in computing may influence other high-impact digital transformation technologies, such as blockchain and machine learning. Smart networks refer to the idea that the internet is no longer simply a communications network, but rather a computing platform. The trajectory is that of communications networks becoming computing networks (with self-executing code), and perhaps ultimately quantum computing networks. Smart network technologies are conceived as autonomous self-operating computing networks. This includes blockchain economies, deep learning neural networks, autonomous supply chains, self-piloting driving fleets, unmanned aerial vehicles, industrial robotics cloudminds, real-time bidding for advertising, high-frequency trading networks, smart city IoT sensors, and the quantum internet.
