La gran visión de la Mujer y del Dragón situada en la mitad de la parte profética del libro (c. 12), sintetiza la lucha entre el bien y el mal y la victoria del Mesías, hijo de la Mujer. Las Bestias a las que el Dragón entrega su poder son derrotadas (c. 19-20). La visión de los nuevos cielos y de la nueva tierra como asimismo de la Nueva Jerusalén, morada de Dios entre los hombres (c. 21-22), cierra este libro que ha sido llamado Evangelio de la Esperanza. Domingo Muñoz León, sacerdote de la Diócesis de Jaén, ha sido profesor de la Facultad de Teología de Granada y posteriormente Miembro del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas en la especialidad de Targum y Nuevo Testamento (1974-1995). Ha sido también miembro de la Pontificia Comisión Bíblica (1984-1995) y profesor invitado de las Facultades de Teología de Comillas y San Dámaso.
