Evidences for God and His Creations: Nature, the Flood, and the Bible by Dr. T. J. Tofflemire Pdf

This book provides summary apologetics from about 200 references. It is unique in that many authors with differing viewpoints are put together in brief key point summaries. Some of the books covered are 1100 pages long. The original authors views are briefly integrated and compared. The different views of creation are also discussed and compared and given a open minded weighing. Are you concerned about the fact that 70% of our youth no longer attend church and do not have a biblical world view? The naturalistic or humanistic world view they adopt from schooling favors the following: 1. Man evolved from primates and is a biological machine with no purpose. 2. There is no source of true morals and thus morals are relative and determined by whatever a given group decides or whatever is most popular. 3. Since man is only and animal, there is no basis for individual human rights, only rights for the masses. There are some good arguments provided in the book to counter all of this and provide a biblical world view. These arguments are brief and easy to share in witnessing situations.

The Language of God by Francis Collins Pdf

Dr Francis S. Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists, working at the cutting edge of the study of DNA, the code of life. Yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God. How does he reconcile the seemingly unreconcilable? In THE LANGUAGE OF GOD he explains his own journey from atheism to faith, and then takes the reader on a stunning tour of modern science to show that physics, chemistry and biology -- indeed, reason itself -- are not incompatible with belief. His book is essential reading for anyone who wonders about the deepest questions of all: why are we here? How did we get here? And what does life mean?

The Rocks Don't Lie: A Geologist Investigates Noah's Flood by David R. Montgomery Pdf

How the mystery of the Bible's greatest story shaped geology: a MacArthur Fellow presents a surprising perspective on Noah's Flood. In Tibet, geologist David R. Montgomery heard a local story about a great flood that bore a striking similarity to Noah’s Flood. Intrigued, Montgomery began investigating the world’s flood stories and—drawing from historic works by theologians, natural philosophers, and scientists—discovered the counterintuitive role Noah’s Flood played in the development of both geology and creationism. Steno, the grandfather of geology, even invoked the Flood in laying geology’s founding principles based on his observations of northern Italian landscapes. Centuries later, the founders of modern creationism based their irrational view of a global flood on a perceptive critique of geology. With an explorer’s eye and a refreshing approach to both faith and science, Montgomery takes readers on a journey across landscapes and cultures. In the process we discover the illusive nature of truth, whether viewed through the lens of science or religion, and how it changed through history and continues changing, even today.

Using the biblical flood as an example, Young contends that the church has not always handled evidence well in grappling with scientific matters and issues a call to biblical scholars to interpret the Genesis text more rigorously in light of current scientific knowledge.

Abusing Science by Philip Kitcher Pdf

Abusing Science is a manual for intellectual self-defense, the most complete available for presenting the case against Creationist pseudo-science. It is also a lucid exposition of the nature and methods of genuine science. The book begins with a concise introduction to evolutionary theory for non-scientists and closes with a rebuttal of the charge that this theory undermines religious and moral values. It will astonish many readers that this case must still be made in the 1980s, but since it must, Philip Kitcher makes it irresistibly and forcefully. Not long ago, a federal court struck down an Arkansas law requiring that "scientific" Creationism be taught in high school science classes. Contemporary Creationists may have lost one legal battle, but their cause continues to thrive. Their efforts are directed not only at state legislatures but at local school boards and textbook publishers. As Kitcher argues in this rigorous but highly readable book, the integrity of science is under attack. The methods of inquiry used in evolutionary biology are those which are used throughout the sciences. Moreover, modern biology is intertwined with other fields of science—physics, chemistry, astronomy, and geology. Creationists hope to persuade the public that education in science should be torn apart to make room for a literal reading of Genesis. Abusing Science refutes the popular complaint that the scientific establishment is dogmatic and intolerant, denying "academic freedom" to the unorthodox. It examines Creationist claims seriously and systematically, one by one, showing clearly just why they are at best misguided, at worst ludicrous.

Did God Use Evolution? by Werner Gitt Pdf

Drawing from a variety of topics - biology, biblical chronology, and the origin of human language - and showing their relation to one another in solving this question, author Werner Gitt reveals that evolution is not only bad science, it also violates Scripture. Written for the layman, but with a scientific slant, this compelling book devastates Darwinian arguments for the origin of our universe and planet. In helping Christians answer attacks on their faith, Gitt addresses relevant subjects such as: the origin of man, the origin of human language, human behavior, the origin and future of the universe. Noah And The Great Flood by Jerry Blount Pdf

The apostle Peter warned us that in the last days before the end times, there would be a new philosophy that would deny that there ever was a worldwide flood. They would deny that God created the world, the existence of God, and the coming end time judgment by fire. Today we see this taking place exactly as Peter had predicted. This book provides proof of a Biblical worldwide flood and backs it up with geological data. The information in this book offers evidence of creation by an omnipotent God and a global flood as God’s judgment of a sinful world. It provides evidence as to what the earth was like before the flood. It was a world, which after creation God had declared very good. Even after the fall of man, it was still paradise compared with the world we know today. The effects of catastrophic worldwide flood changed this planet drastically. This book also offers extensive proof that disproves the theory of evolution. New scientific discoveries are showing that evolution is impossible. Also contained in this book is considerable scientific evidence, showing that the earth is only a few thousand years old. This book may go against much of the popular scientific views of today, but it does so with the evidence to back it. The Bible gave us the history as well as the future of this world. The scientific and geological data that is available today fits well within that Biblical framework. In fact, it fits within the Biblical framework much better than any theories the evolutionary community has come up with, as this book will show.

Creation Care by Douglas J. Moo,Jonathan A. Moo Pdf

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals a God whose creative power and loving care embrace all that exists, from earth and sky and sea to every creeping, crawling, swimming, and flying creature. Yet the significance of the Bible’s extensive teaching about the natural world is easily overlooked by Christians accustomed to focusing only on what the Bible says about God’s interaction with human beings. In Creation Care, part of the Biblical Theology for Life series, father and son team Douglas and Jonathan Moo invite readers to open their Bibles afresh to explore the place of the natural world within God’s purposes and to celebrate God’s love as displayed in creation and new creation. Following the contours of the biblical storyline, they uncover answers to questions such as: What is the purpose of the non-human creation? Can a world with things like predators, parasites, and natural disasters still be the ‘good’ world described in Genesis 1? What difference does the narrative of the ‘Fall’ make for humankind’s responsibility to rule over other creatures? Does Israel’s experience on the land have anything to teach Christians about their relationship with the earth? What difference does Jesus make for our understanding of the natural world? How does our call to care for creation fit within the hope for a new heaven and a new earth? What is unique about Christian creation care compared with other approaches to ‘environmental’ issues? How does creation care fit within the charge to proclaim the gospel and care for the poor? In addition to providing a comprehensive biblical theology of creation care, they probe behind the headlines and politicized rhetoric about an ‘environmental crisis’ and climate change to provide a careful and judicious analysis of the most up-to-date scientific data about the state of our world. They conclude by setting forth a bold framework and practical suggestions for an effective and faithful Christian response to the scriptural teaching about the created world. But rather than merely offering a response to environmental concerns, Creation Care invites readers into a joyful vision of the world as God’s creation in which they can rediscover who they truly are as creatures called to love and serve the Creator and to delight in all he has made.

It is intended to be non technical and non-argumentative, for the author is convinced that the fundamental principles regarding science and the Bible can be expressed in ordinary everyday language. Its purpose is to present the viewpoint of a creationist with respect to scientific problems involved in a literal interpretation of Genesis. It is a good thing for a writer on a controversial subject such as this to state his fundamental philosophy at the beginning. Accordingly it may be said that the basic assumptions upon which this treatise is built are these:1. The Bible is the inspired word of God from Genesis to Revelation.2. The Genesis record of the creation and early days of this earth is not allegorical or of the nature of myth or folklore, but is an inspired historical record.3. Any true scientific theory regarding the origin and early history of the earth and its life must agree with a plain, simple, obvious rendering of that record.Clear distinction must be made between the facts of science and theories by which scientific data are interpreted. To all men the facts must be the same, because facts cannot be changed; on the other hand, the interpretation of the facts may vary according to one's background of training and experience. Hence we should ever be careful to separate scientific facts from theories which, while they may aid in the search for truth, should not be confused with the' truth itself.Belief in evolution or creation, either one, is based upon certain assumptions. The evolutionist must assume that the earth is very ancient, with its age reckoned in billions of years. The forces of nature are assumed to have been at work in a more or less uniform manner throughout the long ages of geological time. And finally, those forces are assumed to have been resident in nature. Whether resident forces are inherent from all eternity, that is, automatically present, without the intervention of any supreme being, or whether endowed by the power of God at some vaguely distant "beginning," makes little difference. The presence of resident forces, by which nature behaves as a self-operating mechanism, is an essential part of the evolutionary philosophy. The creationist, on the other hand, if he accepts the Genesis record literally, is committed to a short chronology. This does not imply that Ussher's chronology is necessarily correct in every detail. However, the history of the earth is to be reckoned in terms of thousands rather than millions or billions of years. Such a viewpoint must of necessity involve faith in supernaturalism as opposed to the acceptance of naturalism by the evolutionist. And, instead of nature's being a self-running mechanism, it is understood by the creationist to be under the direct and continuous control of the power of an infinite God.
