The False Assumptions of Democracy by Anthony M. Ludovici Pdf

Ludovici sets out the reasons why democracy, as practised in the current liberal west, is a fraud which deliberately misrepresents itself as "government by the people" when in fact it is a tightly-controlled autocracy in which the masses actually have little say in the day-to-day running of the affairs of state.

The Assumptions Behind the Theory of Evolution by Dave Schoch Pdf

The theory of evolution is based solidly upon certain assumptions. This would not be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that most of these assumptions are not warranted by the facts of nature, and therefore have not (and can not ever) be codified as facts of nature. Today these unwarranted, and therefore illegitimate assumptions, have found their way into populating not only our textbooks, but also mainstream America, as confirmed facts of nature, when they are not. This book exposes numerous unwarranted and illegitimate evolutionary assumptions pushed upon the unsuspecting public as codified facts of science when they are not codified facts of nature. According to Dr. Jerry Bergman, this is an "excellent book...it promises to be a very important book in this area (referring to the creation/evolution controversy."

Sustainability and the New Economics by Stephen J. Williams,Rod Taylor Pdf

This multidisciplinary book provides new insights and hope for sustainable prosperity given recent developments in economics – but only if swift and strong actions consistent with Earth’s biophysical limits and principles of justice are universally taken. It is one thing to put limits on resource throughput and waste generation to conform with the ecosphere’s biocapacity. It is another thing to efficiently allocate a sustainable rate of resource throughput and ensure it is equitably distributed in the form of final goods and services. While the separate but interdependent decisions regarding throughput, distribution, and allocation are the essence of ecological economics, dealing with them in a world that needs to cure its growth addiction requires a realistic understanding of macroeconomics and the fiscal capacity of currency-issuing central governments. Sustainable prosperity demands that we harness this understanding to carefully regulate the rate of resource throughput and manipulate macroeconomic outcomes to facilitate human flourishing. The book begins by outlining humanity’s current predicament of gross ecological overshoot and laments the half-century of missed opportunities since The Limits to Growth (1972). What was once economic growth has become, in many high-income countries, uneconomic growth (additional costs exceeding additional benefits), which is no longer advancing wellbeing. Meanwhile, low-income nations need a dose of efficient and equitable growth to escape poverty while protecting their environments and the global commons. The book argues for a synthesis of our increasing knowledge of the ecosphere’s limited carrying capacity and the power of governments to harness, transform, and distribute resources for the common good. Central to this synthesis must be a correct understanding of the difference between financial constraints and real resource constraints. While the latter apply to everyone, the former do not apply to currency-issuing central governments, which have much more capacity for corrective action than mainstream thinking perceives. The book joins the growing chorus of authoritative voices calling for a complete overhaul of the dominant economic system. We conclude with policy recommendations based on a new economics that, if implemented, would come close to guaranteeing a sustainable and prosperous future. Upon reading this book, at least one thing should be crystal clear: business as usual is not a viable option.

At First Glance by Lorenzo D Leonard Pdf

As a series of essays, At First Glance examines how a system of living that lacks a dedicated curriculum to educate individuals about their inherent credibility limits one's options for developing self-perception. Unaware of their own inner credibility, individuals tend to use outside experiences to define themselves. Without an appreciation of one's inner character, an individual cannot apply their reliable internal influence when processing experiences in life. They will be unable to develop a moral blueprint that would lead them to honor the inherent qualities with which they were born, and instead their self-perception is inflated or deflated based on external experiences. As a result, they will solely pursue credibility and relevance based on external status and material wealth instead of goodness and honor. At First Glance explores how this lack of a moral blueprint, this moral impoverishment, results in the emergence of a will to survive ideology that compels individuals to achieve power, authority, and superiority over others using skills such as deception, inequity, and corruption. This ideology necessitates benefiting from economic, gender, racial, ethnic, religious, political, and educational inequalities to sustain positive experiences, a race for credibility and relevance that can be ruthless and cruel. At First Glance proposes that the way to withdraw from the travesty of humanity devouring itself is to develop a will to live ideology, which recognizes and honors innate attributes that embody substantive character. This ideology generates a genuine credibility and relevance that surpasses any need to diminish human life in order to succeed.

From Marx to Mises by David Ramsay Steele Pdf

In 1920, Ludwig von Mises proclaimed that all attempts to establish socialism would come to grief, for reasons of informational efficiency. At first, socialists and economists took Mises's argument seriously, but by the end of the Second World War, a consensus prevailed that Mises had been discredited. More recently, that consensus has been rapidly reversed: it is now widely agreed that 'Mises was right'. Yet the momentous implications of the Mises argument - for economics, politics, culture, and philosophy - remain largely unexplored. From Marx to Mises is a clear, penetrating exposition of the economic calculation debate, and a scrutiny of some of the broader issues it raises.
