Fragrance of the Heart: Poetry & Prose by Alicia Budhram Pdf

Fragrance of the heart is a collection of sensitive yet sensuous poetic experiences, touching on the language of the heart and the flow of an array of feelings experienced in an out of love that brings love close and lovers inseparable. The tug-of-war between surrendering to the heart's gravitational pull or the mind's rationality is as old as time. The heart perfume's with it's fragrance, and distance is reduced to a mere breath. The story is as incomplete as the relationship between the ocean and the sky, touching, if only fleetingly. The Hearts Fragrance is a collection that entails a very serene encounter and experience with nature and the Cosmos. It also touches on the feminine energy.

Wild Fragrance by Gopal Guttal Pdf

Some say that every poet is a fool. But their words prove that every fool is not a poet. This is a collection of poems which speak of persons, places, human bond and lingering fragrance of yearning songs. A poem is not a collection of words or catalogue of transient events. It is a manifestation of the inner rhythm which rings beyond the obvious.

The Book of Scented Things by Jehanne Dubrow,Lindsay Lusby Pdf

Poetry. What if 100 contemporary American poets were sent individually selected vials of perfume, fragrances chosen to reflect the authors' voices, aesthetics, or writerly obsessions? What if each poet wrote something new in response? THE BOOK OF SCENTED THINGS collects the results of this strange, aromatic experiment: poems of longing and of childhood memory, poems of place and philosophy and politics, poems about the challenge of writing poems about perfume. This is an anthology whose words will linger on your pulse points long after even the base notes have faded. The Fragrance of Precious Memories by Ruben White Pdf

I believe that there's a message behind the message. An aroma represents the presents of angels. It also is an indication of the many blessings from God. When it comes to dealing with the death of a loved one. We all have our own experiences. Through grievance, pain, loneliness, and anger. These are the most common issue in dealing with denial. But there's a spiritual realm that goes far beyond our means. We have to start by accepting a favorable reception. By sharing, caring, listening, and embracing. People tend to deal with grievances in their way. And there's no time limit on how long you should grieve. Knowing that we still have a greater connection with our beloved. So, let's start embracing the time and memories that were shared. Understand that death is only a part of life, An Aroma of Sweet Memories is a collection of grievance poetry. That I had written to help my readers and myself. Deal with the pain of death and dare to move beyond our sorrows. Then knowing when it's time to let go and let God. The poem (As I glance in the mirror, I see only me). It's about self-empowerment embracing life and loving yourself. Knowing that there's still life for you after suffering a loss. Our loved ones are still with us in spirit and memories. As a prolific writer, the basis of my poetry is to let the reader know that it's okay. The Bible tells us in John 3:16," For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish. But, have everlasting life."

Atomizer by Elizabeth A. I. Powell Pdf

In Atomizer, Elizabeth A. I. Powell examines pressing questions of today, from equality and political unrest to the diminishing of democratic ideals, asking if it is even appropriate to write about love in a time seemingly hurtling toward authoritarianism. With honesty and humor, her poems explore fragrance and perfumery as a means of biological and religious seduction. Evoking Whitman’s sentiment that we are all made of the same atoms, Atomizer looks toward an underestimated sense—scent—as a way to decipher the liminal spaces around us. Molecules of perfume create an invisible reality where narratives can unfold and interact, pathways through which Powell addresses issues of materialism, body image, and the physical and psychological contours of emotional relationships. A work of fearless social satire and humorous yet painful truth, Atomizer offers a cultural, political, and sociological account of love in the present moment.

Fragrance from the Spring by Liana Wendy Howarth Pdf

More than ten years ago, Liana Wendy Howarth began writing children's short stories and poetry, which were accepted for publication through a British publishing house. The Lord had other plans, though, and it didn't proceed. With time, He has led her through permitted trials, heartache, and long-term illness and allowed the pain, the questions, and the joy to overflow onto the page, bringing Him glory. It is her heart's desire that these poems will bring special moments to the little ones and comfort for anyone hurting, those crying unseen tears, anyone needing the Saviour and we all do! THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD Soft scents adrift upon the early breeze Roses adorn the life teeming earth Rainbow birdlife calls of His glory Oh! What a wondrous God is He Billowing clouds roll across the blue yonder Sunshine peeps through apple trees Rain soon falls and creation brightens Oh! What an awesome God is He Butterflies flitter and flutter so freely Fruit well ripened, heavy laden on boughs Perfect colours and shades of nature Oh! What a glorious God is He Rays of golden treasure dart across sand dunes Mountainous regions, white from heaven above Deepest sea-greens and abundance in oceans Oh! How do I thank and worship Thee The tiny veins on a simple leaf Camouflaged creatures wonderfully sleep My gorgeous cat upon my lap a-purring Oh! What a mighty God is He

The Garden of Fragrance by Sadi Shirazi,Hamid Eslamian Pdf

Join with Sádi and his Reflection of Magical Words همانا که در فارس انشای من چو مشک است بی قیمت اندر ختن گل آورد سعدی سوی بوستان به شوخی و فلفل به هندوستان In Persia, my writings are, doubtless, thought nice; As musk is in Cathay esteemed beyond price. To the garden brought Sádi, with boldness, a rose, As they do spice to India, where spice freely grows. Musleh al-Din Bin Abdallah Saadi Shirazi (1210–1291), is one of the greatest classical Persian poets of all time, whose beauty of speech and eloquentness in order and prose has a worldwide reputation and is the language of all. Saadi's speeches about moral principles and Gnosticism is very beautiful and attractive, his ideas and style are highly original and so far, no one has been able to sing so beautifully. The great poet's books have also been translated into European languages, to the point that some believe that Europe recognized Persian literature with Sadi’s poems. His works have long been taught in schools as a source of Persian language teaching, and many of the proverbs common in Persian have been adapted from his works. Bustan is one of the masterpieces of Persian literature, in the old versions of Sadi Nameh. The book was written during his travels to different parts of the world and includes 183 stories in ten chapters about virtues such as justice, kindness, love, modesty, freedom, generosity, satisfaction, and happiness, and Darvish conscience practices that refer to all people for a better and happier life. The stories of The Bustan are not the same in terms of complexity and structure, some have a more complex fictional structure and include many events and persons, while others are simple and in the same way as the story. The Bustan can be considered as a moral and educational book in which Sádi describes his utopia. The translation appearing in this book is by G. S. Davie M.D. in 1882. Translation of poetry from one language into another is notoriously difficult. It is conceivably more demanding in the instance of classical Persian poetry than in many other traditions. Separately from the simulated loss of metre and rhyme, many of the literary devices – imagery, metaphor, punning, and so on – are also lost in the process. Bustan is a precious learning resource for Persian language learners or Persian literature students. Not only will poems improve your Persian language, but they’ll help your understanding of Persian culture and literature. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said: ‘The word Sádi means “fortunate”. He inspires in the reader a good hope.’ Published by: Persian Learning Center www.persianbell.com

Mrs. Spring Fragrance by Sui Sin Far Pdf

Mrs. Spring Fragrance (1912) is a collection of short stories by Sui Sin Far. Inspired by her experience living among Chinese Americans in San Francisco and Seattle, Mrs. Spring Fragrance is considered one of the earliest works of fiction published in the United States by a woman of Chinese heritage. In “The Inferior Woman,” Mrs. Spring Fragrance encounters her neighbors, the Carmans, as they try to find someone to marry their son. While Mrs. Carman wants him to marry into a family of higher social standing, her son is in love with a local girl who works as a legal secretary. Known by Mrs. Carman as the “Inferior Woman,” she has risen through hard work and perseverance to achieve her position at the law firm. Sympathetic toward her neighbor’s son, Mrs. Spring Fragrance advocates on his behalf. “In the Land of the Free” is the story of a Chinese immigrant who is separated from her young son upon arrival due to insufficient paperwork. Exploring the struggles of this woman to reclaim her son, Sui Sin Far exposes the discrimination and hardships faced by Chinese Americans due to the Chinese Exclusion Act, illuminating the byzantine and restrictive immigration policies which sadly continue under a different guise in modern America. With a beautifully designed cover and professionally typeset manuscript, this edition of Sui Sin Far’s Mrs. Spring Fragrance is a classic of Chinese American literature reimagined for modern readers.

Carnal Fragrance by Florence Weinberger Pdf

"The poems in Carnal Fragrance are straightforward dispatches from the land of grief and mourning. Observant, controlled, and rich with feelings, these poems take note of the surprising moments, small ironies, odd sensations and quotidian realities of survivorhood. They examine what happens when a loved one dies and you must live on without them, aching to find ways to continue in their absence, surrounded by their lingering presence and yet utterly bereft. Ovid said, Songs have immunity from death. Poems like these, which deal with loss in such a clear eyes way remind us that Ovid was right." description by Amy Gerstler

Emily Dickinson's Gardening Life by Marta McDowell Pdf

“A visual treat as well as a literary one…for gardeners and garden lovers, connoisseurs of botanical illustration, and those who seek a deeper understanding of the life and work of Emily Dickinson.” —The Wall Street Journal Emily Dickinson was a keen observer of the natural world, but less well known is the fact that she was also an avid gardener—sending fresh bouquets to friends, including pressed flowers in her letters, and studying botany at Amherst Academy and Mount Holyoke. At her family home, she tended both a small glass conservatory and a flower garden. In Emily Dickinson’s Gardening Life, award-winning author Marta McDowell explores Dickinson’s deep passion for plants and how it inspired and informed her writing. Tracing a year in the garden, the book reveals details few know about Dickinson and adds to our collective understanding of who she was as a person. By weaving together Dickinson’s poems, excerpts from letters, contemporary and historical photography, and botanical art, McDowell offers an enchanting new perspective on one of America’s most celebrated but enigmatic literary figures.
