God In The Obama Era by Niels C. Nielsen Pdf

Election 2008 turned out to be a watershed contests, looking to crucial decisions of policy change about the war in Iraq, the international economy, global warming, social security and immigration. God in the Obama Era is written for general readers and is designed to help give objectivity and perspective on debated issues. Its approach is narrative and chronological, not dogmatic. Its premise is that the contemporary presidency stands in a longer historical tradition, which conditions both philosophical, and value judgments. A scholar, who has written in both the history and philosophy of religion, the author is interested in the long term moral values and religious symbols that motivate both voters and public officials. Of course, he is not so naïve as to suppose that truth is always on one side of the election divide. Clearly, the U. S. Constitution guarantees both freedom of worship and the non-establishment of religion. But faith convictions remain a powerful ideological force in American politics.

The Faith of Barack Obama by Stephen Mansfield Pdf

“You must read this perceptive and well written book. Then you will know why Barack Obama has such a passion for justice and equity.” —Archbishop Desmond Tutu Barack Obama. The speculation about his religious life abounds. Is he a closet Muslim? Is he really a Christian? Did his faith have anything to do with his governing? As the picture of President Obama’s faith has emerged, questions about the foundation of his beliefs continue to ignite debate. In this updated edition of his international bestseller The Faith of Barack Obama, New York Times bestselling author Stephen Mansfield explores the claims of Obama’s detractors and supporters alike, while examining how the challenges of the presidency shaped Obama’s religious beliefs. This evenhanded account of the former president’s spiritual life provides a closer look at the people and events that have influenced his belief system. Mansfield analyzes Obama’s friendship with the controversial Jeremiah Wright and also profiles the Christian leaders who offered guidance and support during the president’s challenging term. Mansfield takes you inside the religious life of Barack Obama, introducing you to the type of preaching the president heard at Camp David and even revealing details such as the content of the daily devotional readings the former president received on his cell phone. This fascinating study explains the faith elements within Obama’s politics, while acknowledging the questions about his beliefs that remain unanswered. “Mansfield presents an analysis of Obama’s distinctly postmodern journey that will generate valuable discussion across the religious spectrum.” —Publishers Weekly

No Higher Power by Phyllis Schlafly,George Neumayr Pdf

The Obama administration's overreaching and pervasive secularist policies represent the greatest government-directed assault on religious freedom in American history. So argue conservative movement leader Phyllis Schlafly and journalist George Neumayr in their new book, No Higher Power. In No Higher Power, Schlafly and Neumayr show how Obama is waging war on our religious liberties and actively working to create one nation under him rather than one nation under God. "Obama views traditional religion as a temporary opiate for the poor, confused, and jobless—a drug that will dissipate as the federal government assumes more God-like powers, and his new secularist beliefs and policies gain adherents," write Schlafly and Neumayr. From cutting funding for religious schools to Obama’s deliberate omission of God and religion in public speeches to his assault on the Catholic church, No Higher Power is a shocking and comprehensive look at how Obama is violating one of our most fundamental rights—and remaking our country into a nation our Founding Fathers would hardly recognize.

Whom God Has Blessed, Let No Man Curse by Jermel E. Shim Pdf

On the night of November 4, 2008, the world witnessed the election of the first black man, Barack Obama to become President of the United States of America. Given the history of racial conflict in America and the fact that black people still struggle to achieve equality with white Americans, Barack Obama's election was not only historic but also extraordinary. It was extraordinary because his election to become president would transcend a history of negative racial influence and bias. The day after Barack Obama was elected president, the global media paid tribute to his historic accomplishment. This accomplishment was worthy of global recognition because it signaled a change that most people did not think was possible. Every aspect of Barack Obama's personal background under normal circumstances would have eliminated him as a presidential contender. For Barack Obama to be elected president, certain pre-conditions had to occur. These pre-conditions are discussed in this book. This book, Whom God Has Blessed Let No Man Curse, describes Barack Obama's destiny to become president of the USA. The book outlines the journey of his destiny to the White House including the preconditions that got him elected in 2008 and again in 2012. The premise of the book is that Barack Obama is a blessed man - not necessarily in the context used in the Christian religion - and was destined to be president. For these reasons his detractors, despite their ongoing assault on the president, have not and will not be successful in bringing him down. Whom God Has Blessed Let No Man Curse is not only the story about Barack Obama's election as president; it is also about his extraordinary first term as president. No president before him has experienced the blatant disrespect and aversion from political opponents or detractors like he has. Despite all this, he was able to perform his presidential duties with reasonable success. Like the great men and women from the time of antiquity who inspired and taught the human race lessons about life, it is hoped that President Obama's accomplishment and exemplary leadership will do the same. It is also hoped that this book will help people who read it appreciate the president's accomplishments and his effort to make America and the world a better place.

The Abominations of the Obama-Nation by Betty Sue Prollock Pdf

Some people use the poor, minorities, and special interest groups as an excuse to take away rights from others who tend to be wealthy, white, or Christian or all of the above. Betty Sue Prollock, a Christian and an American patriot, seeks to wake people up from their slumber and shine a spotlight on the truth: Were moving from a constitutional government founded on individual freedom to one that resembles an Islamic state. President Barack Hussein Obama Jr. and his followers, who are using the government to oppress non-victims in an effort to promote equality, must accept much of the blame. These power-hungry individuals will stop at nothing to advance their own agenda and take away the rights of the majority. Prollock argues that people in power are influencing and seducing the needy struggling with lifes challenges. She makes a convincing case that if the public doesnt act soon, our God-given rights will be replaced by government-given rights and The Abominations of the Obama-Nation.

The Gospel According to Barack by Jefrey D. Breshears Pdf

On May 9, 2012 President Obama announced in an interview with ABC News that his views on same-sex marriage had "evolved" and that he now supports the idea. Many Christians found the President's pronouncement to be disappointing but certainly not surprising, but what was most alarming was that he cited his Christian faith to justify his position. President Obama, a professing Christian, seems bizarrely confused on a wide range of moral and religious issues. Furthermore, as Catholic bishops have charged, his administration poses the greatest threat to religious liberty in American history. This publication is a study of where Barack Obama got his ideas about the Christian faith. As such, this is a theological assessment, not a personal or a political critique. Tracing the roots of Obama's theology is significant because, as he has stated, it is his understanding of the Gospel that informs and influences not only his social and political ideology but his views on some of the most controversial moral and ethical issues of our day. The thesis of this study is that Obama's understanding of Christianity has been influenced primarily by two factors: (1) Mainline Protestant theological liberalism as mediated through the United Church of Christ; and (2) Black Liberation Theology as advocated by his long-time pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Both of these influences are serious distortions of traditional orthodox biblical Christianity, and as such it calls into question whether or not Obama understands the nature of true Christianity.

Reclaiming Hope by Michael R. Wear Pdf

Now with a new afterword from the author. "An important and extremely timely book...Get it, read it, and talk to others about it." --Timothy Keller In this unvarnished account of faith inside the world’s most powerful office, Michael Wear provides unprecedented insight into the highs and lows of working as a Christian in government. Reclaiming Hope is an insider’s view of the most controversial episodes of the Obama administration, from the president’s change of position on gay marriage and the transformation of religious freedom into a partisan idea, to the administration’s failure to find common ground on abortion and the bitter controversy over who would give the benediction at the 2012 inauguration. The book is also a passionate call for faith in the public square, particularly for Christians to see politics as a means of loving one’s neighbor and of pursuing justice for all. Engrossing, illuminating, and at time provocative, Reclaiming Hope changes the way we think about the relationship of politics and faith. "A pre-Trump book with serious questions for our politics in the age of Trump...More necessary than ever before." -- Sojourners "Should be read by Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives, and all who are concerned by the state of our politics.” --Kirsten Powers, USA Today columnist and CNN political analyst "Reclaiming Hope will certainly give you a fresh perspective on politics--but, more importantly, it may also give you a fresh perspective on faith.”--Andy Stanley, senior pastor of North Point Ministries "An important and extremely timely book...Get it, read it, and talk to others about it." --Timothy Keller, author of Reason for God "An important contribution in this age of religious and political polarization." --J.D. Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy "A lifeline for these times." --Ann Voskamp, author of One Thousand Gifts and The Broken Way “We can hope, and this book can help us.” --Russell Moore, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention

God Moves the World by Marie Pierre Pdf

As a Black woman and a Christian, Marie Pierre felt the balance of the world shifting toward the positive when Barack Obamas presidential candidacy was announced in 2008. Like many, she saw in him a potential similar to that of Moses the ability to lead the people of America out of darkness. All her life, Marie has had periods of dreams centered on a common theme. During the election and in the early days of the Obama presidency, Marie experienced a series of recurring dreams seeking expression. With a pen and notepad next to her bed, Marie would awaken and remain as suspended in her dream-state as possible while she wrote down the thoughts and images streaming into her consciousness. This remarkable book is a collection of these transcriptions, reflecting realities of the president, his inner circle, and the nation. Marie is honored to share these prayers, meditations, and insights with you.

The Irony of Barack Obama by R. Ward Holder,Peter B. Josephson Pdf

Drawing on the political theology of Reinhold Niebuhr, described by Barack Obama as 'one of my favourite philosophers', this book assesses the challenges facing the President during his first term. It evaluates his success in adhering to Niebuhr's path of 'Christian realism' when faced with the pragmatic demands of domestic and foreign affairs. In 2008 Candidate Obama used the ideas of 'Hope' and 'Change' to inspire voters and secure the presidency. Obama promised change not only regarding America's policies, but even more fundamentally in the nation's political culture. Holder and Josephson describe the foundations of President Obama's Christian faith and the extent to which it has shaped his approach to politics. Their book explores Obama's journey of faith in the context of a broadly Augustinian understanding of faith and politics, examines the tensions between Christian realism and pragmatic progressivism, explains why a Christian realist interpretation is essential to understanding Obama's presidency, and applies this model of understanding to considerations of foreign and domestic policy. By combining this theological and political analysis the book offers a special opportunity to reflect on the relationship between Christian faith and statesmanship, reflections that are missing from current popular discussions of the Obama presidency. Through consideration of Niebuhr's models of the prophet and the statesman, and the more popular alternative of the political evangelist, Holder and Josephson are better able to explain the president's successes and his failures, and to unveil the Augustinian limits of the political life.

The New Rising Dawn - Barack Obam by Jubril Olab Aka Dms Mba Aviation Ph. D.,Jubril Olabode Aka Pdf

With God, everything is possible! The advent of President Barack Obama, an African-American, to the US Presidency and the White House is providential. Before January 20, 2009, it was incomprehensible and impossible to all Doubting Thomases. Forty years earlier, Blacks generally were barred from entering restrooms, restaurants, playgrounds, parks, buses, educational and health institutions designated "for Whites only." Obama is not of aristocratic descent, but he has the highest nobility and office on earth thrust upon him providentially. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream has come true with Ms. Oprah Winfrey as a great architect of the realization of the dream. Jesus Christ was born in the manger without the usual nobilities for earthly kings, queens, presidents etc. but He became the Savior, Servant, and Redeemer of all mankind. Fortunately, President Obama ascended to the Presidency of the United States at our darkest moments of war and the worst economic recession. He is chosen for the world's salvation, hope, change, peace, and prosperity with an unprecedented ninety-five percent approval rating. His success is America's success and benefits the world. Failure is not an option. He says, "We Can; Yes, We Can!" God Bless The United States of America!
