God's Restoration Power by Brenda J. Armstrong Pdf

There are many people who have grown up or married into abusive lives. I never thought that I could ever get past the emotionally devastating and bitter state of mind I was in. However, Father God taught me how to heal, and He asked me to share that with a world of hurting people. God said, "The comfort I comforted you with, therewith comfort others." I hope and pray that others I share that with will also find freedom and peace of mind.

Five Dimensions Of God's Restoration Power by Andre H. Vanrooi Pdf

I was born and raised in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town, South Africa. As a child, I attended a major denominational church, but as my family fell apart during my teenage years, I became disillusioned with what I thought I knew Christianity to be. Through my Kung Fu teacher, I was introduced to Buddhism. I became an adherent of that religion for about ten years. I, however, found myself so empty and without joy and peace in my life. I began to question the reason and purposed for my life. At the age of twenty-seven, I decided to reach out to God (whoever He was) and asked Him to make Himself known to me. I told God that if He is real, it should not be difficult for Him to let a mere man, like me, know He is real. At that moment, I felt a burden lifted off my life, and it began my pursuit of this God who answered my prayer so quickly. Where before I shunned the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I now found myself intently listening to it whenever people preached or read it out loud. I loved to listen to people worship God, even if I did not participate. Over a period of about four months of gently wooing me, I was "caught" by the fisher of men, and became His disciple and have been serving Him faithfully ever since. There is no one like Him in all the earth, no one who can save, deliver, and heal like He does. What a wonderful savior and God He is. Over the years, God has used using me in effective ways to minister healing and deliverance to His children in these five areas of life as believers in Jesus Christ.

Unsinkable Faith by Tracie Miles Pdf

For many people, remaining optimistic and feeling positive about themselves and their lives is a constant battle—especially when circumstances are difficult and life is hard. For others, negativity is something that only sneaks up from time to time, yet still wreaks havoc in their hearts. Regardless of the root causes, once pessimistic thoughts permeate our minds, our feelings and emotions begin to control us instead of us controlling them. Eventually it doesn’t seem possible to stay positive, happy, and full of joy, and negative thought patterns shake our faith, causing us to sink emotionally, mentally, and spiritually over time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Despite what storms roll in, hearts anchored in God don’t sink. When we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and live, even if our circumstances remain the same. Intentionally embracing the opportunity to experience a transformed heart and a renewed mind opens the door for a changed life, because a positive mind will always lead to a more positive life. In Unsinkable Faith, author and Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker Tracie Miles offers hope for women who struggle with negativity. Each chapter explores Tracie’s and other women’s personal stories, showing how they rose above their circumstances by transforming and renewing their minds. Unsinkable Faith is a breath of fresh air for anyone longing for a heart full of joy, an unbreakable smile, and a new, more optimistic perspective on life. This book will equip you to: Replace pessimism with positive thinking by becoming the captain of your thoughts; Learn how true joy and happiness are based on choice, not circumstances; Overcome unhealthy habits of negative thinking by intentionally implementing three easy mind-renewing steps; Stop feeling hopeless and pitiful, and start feeling hope-filled and powerful instead; and Discover that when you change the way you think, you change the way feel, and in turn you can change your life completely.

The Restoration of God’s Dwelling and Kingdom by Peter Nyende Pdf

The church in Africa is thriving, both numerically and in its boldness and fervour. Yet the challenge of African folk Christianity – a Christianity shaped more by traditional beliefs than the Bible – continues to loom large, and there remains an acute need for life and faith to be biblically informed. In this introduction to biblical theology, Prof. Peter Nyende draws from nearly two decades of experience teaching the next generation of African church leaders. Maintaining the vital importance of a holistic understanding of Scripture and its unified nature, he presents the central story of both Old and New Testaments as the restoration of God’s dwelling and kingdom in the world. He traces this narrative through its many stages of development — creation and fall, God’s covenants with Israel, exile — to its ultimate fulfilment in Jesus, the church and the new Jerusalem. Though written with pastors and theological students in mind, this book is accessible to any who desire to increase their biblical literacy and partner more fully with the work of God and his kingdom.
