Mercy Triumphs, Grace Abounds by Pamela Pamela Pdf

Since it was legalized in 1973, there have been more than 50 million abortions in America. Silence surrounds many of those women who chose abortion. They didnt anticipate the aftermath of regret, guilt, shame, anger and self-condemnation that often follow an abortion. Even years later a woman may deny its impact: * It happened so long ago, how could it be affecting me now? * Oh, I worked through it then and Im fine. * Whats the point of rehashing something from the past? But, if you still struggle with negative thoughts and emotions, or you feel stuck spiritually, it may be that God is nudging you to revisit your abortion experience. Mercy Triumphs, Grace Abounds is a 10 week inductive Bible study, designed to help post-abortive women interact with and experience Gods love and forgiveness. As its name suggests, the study highlights Gods mercy and grace and can be used individually or within a group setting. Along with Scripture verses and questions, there are nine hope-giving testimonies in their own words from post-abortive women to showcase Gods power and willingness to heal and restore any woman.

Grace Abounds by Edith Prendergast Pdf

Edith Prendergast, R.S.C., issues a clarion call to both conversion and renewal, inviting readers to enter more deeply into the mind and heart of Christ and to live as his messengers in the Church and the world. In a world burdened by anxiety and fear, where human weakness and social sin tear at the fabric of every institution, Prendergast reminds her readers that each one has been given an amazing gift of faith and calls them to revitalize their commitment to others. Prendergasts compelling spiritual vision is enriched by her skilled use of scripture, the saints and mystics, and contemporary writers and poets. She also draws from the little epiphanies of ordinary, everyday life be they the words of a child or the insights of a homeless man. With a spirit of reverence and delight, each reflection harmonizes a host of voices that both inspire and energize her readers.

A Doubter's Guide to the Bible by John Dickson Pdf

A concise account of the whole biblical narrative and what it means—as well as the beliefs and lifestyle it inspires—for those observing Christianity from the outside, especially those who think there are good reasons not to believe. A Doubter's Guide to the Bible charts a biblical roadmap from the story of creation to the fulfillment of creation, answering many of the most frequently asked questions along the way: How can we read the creation account in Genesis in light of modern science? How should Old Testament law be understood when it appears inconsistent and irrelevant? Isn't the story of Jesus' birth a little far-fetched? What is the Gospel? Why are there four accounts of the same thing, and what are they really saying? John Dickson provides a readable and inviting Bible primer for anyone interested in informing themselves about the most widely read book in the history of humanity. By presenting the whole of the Bible as an account of God's promise to restore humanity to Himself, and humans to one another and to creation, Dickson allows believers and skeptics alike to gain insight into why the Bible has been a compelling, life-changing, and magnetic force throughout the ages—and why it still matters.

The Christian Life Series by Rayola Kelley Pdf

Did you ever just want to read a book about the Christian life that would explain how it would express itself in the life of believers? The Christian Life Series is comprised of three books that are separated according to themes to show believers what the Christian life is all about and how it will express itself. The first book, What Matter Is This?, deals with the matters that establish the foundation of the Christian faith such as salvation, love, grace, faith, and holiness. The second book, The Challenge of It, addresses that which challenges this incredible walk by establishing that it is a matter of knowing God, properly investing in a relationship with Him, accepting His invitation, disciplining attractions, and letting go of the past. The final book, The Reality of It, reveals how the Christian life will express itself in our walk. It unveils the spiritual man, defines what it means to be a disciple, and what it entails to walk in the light in order to adhere to what we have been predestined to fulfill. This is a book that every serious-minded follower of Jesus will not only want to read and study, but to meditate on in order to gain the nuggets of truth that have been interwoven into each presentation.

Where Sin Abounds by Robert R. Gonzales Pdf

Nearly all scholars divide Genesis into primeval and patriarchal history, though they debate the precise point of division. One reason advanced to justify the division is a thematic shift. In primeval history, the narrator focuses on the origin and spread of sin, as well as God's consequent curse and judgment on humanity. In patriarchal history, however, the spread of sin theme falls off the radar of most scholars. But these analyses of the primeval and patriarchal narratives are simplistic and inaccurate. In fact, the theme of human sin and the divine curse not only serve as the main themes of the Fall narrative, but they also continue to function as major themes in both the primeval and patriarchal narratives that follow. More particularly, human sin appears to increase at both individual and societal levels. Moreover, just as the primordial sin threatened to derail the advance of God's kingdom and fulfillment of the creation mandate, so the spread of human sin in postlapsarian history threatens to thwart God's redemptive plan, which consists in the restoration of his original creational intentions for divine and human eschatological fullness. This proves true even in the patriarchal narratives where the sins of God's chosen often threaten the very promise intended for their ultimate good. These facts, which the author attempts to demonstrate in the monograph, not only have important ramifications for the unity of the Genesis corpus, but they also have important implications for the doctrines of sin, justification, and sanctification.

WORKING FOR GOD! by Edward D. Andrews,Andrew Murray Pdf

THE objective of WORKING FOR GOD is first of all to remind all Christian workers of the greatness and the glory of the work in which God gives a share. It is nothing less than that work of bringing men back to their God, at which God finds His highest glory and blessedness. As we see that it is God’s own work we have to work out, that He works it through us, that in our doing it His glory rests on us and we glorify Him, we shall count it our joy to give ourselves to live only and wholly for it. WORKING FOR GOD at the same time aims to help those who are laboring in vain, to find out what may be the cause of such struggles. God’s work must be done in God’s way and in God’s power. It is spiritual work, to be done by spiritual men and women, in the power of the Holy Spirit. The more precise our insight into God's Word, and the more complete our submission to God’s laws of work, the surer and the richer will be our joy and our reward in it. Along with this, WORKING FOR GOD can be a great help for those who have struggled in finding their part in the service of their Lord. Murray and Andrews seek to help ones understand that the chief characteristic of the Divine life in God and Christ is love and its work of blessing men. The Divine life in us can show itself in no other way. They have sought to show that it is God’s will that every believer without exception, whatever be his position in life, gives himself wholly to live and work for God. WORKING FOR GOD will also focus on teaching the imperative duty, the urgent need, the Divine blessedness of a life given to God’s service, and to waken within the consciousness of the power that works in them, even the Spirit and power of Christ Himself.

The Letter to the Romans by Ian Christopher Levy,Philip D. W. Krey,Thomas Ryan Pdf

This is the second volume of The Bible in Medieval Tradition (BMT), a series that aims to reconnect the church with part of its rich history of biblical interpretation. Ian Levy, Philip Krey, and Thomas Ryan's Letter to the Romans presents the history of early and medieval interpretations of Romans and gives substantial translations of select medieval commentaries. Written by eight representative medieval interpreters between the ninth and fourteenth centuries, these commentaries have never been translated into English before. This valuable book will enhance contemporary reading of the Bible even as it lends insight into medieval scholarship. As Levy says, the medieval commentaries exhibit "qualities that many modern commentaries lack: a spiritual depth that reflects their very purpose, namely, to read Holy Scripture within the sacred tradition under the guidance of the Holy Spirit."

Upon This Rock by Rosie Rivera Pdf

Many new believers struggle due to a lack of teaching. The Bible states that we as baby Christians should desire the sincere milk of the Word that we might grow by it. Many people get born again and go back into the old lifestyle because they have no root in the Word and their foundation is weak. I would like to see every new believer become established and grounded in the Word so that they have a firm foundation that cannot be moved. Tests and trials come to each of us, and whether we stand or fall depends on the type of foundation our lives are built upon. The more we understand the Word, the stronger our foundation becomes. God desires that we take His written Word and His revealed Word and apply them to our daily lives. This book is intended to inspire new believers to go after God, to get to know Him, and to love the Word. There is no greater joy than knowing the one who came and gave His life that we might live.
