I Am That Poet by Joseph Lowe Pdf

My poems come from my journey in life experience from one of the eleven children in Mississippi, to joining the US Marine Corp at seventeen years old during the Vietnam war era and after spending 13 months of overseas duty, I was honorable discharge after my return, as a young man I began to use alcohol as a substance, to deal with that experience and the social ills of that era and it lingered, became a problem later on in life. I began to write poetry as a emotional outlet to ease the pain of my journey to sobriety, which has been fifteen years now. I know the journey is not over but the road is smoother now. That's why I am sharing my pain, my victories, my joy and laughter with you for the veterans suffering with PTSD, anyone dealing with depression, anxiety or mental issues or a bad relationship, a rough day at work, a bad hair day, waiting in the doctor's office to see what the Xray says. After reading a poem, I want you to say that Joseph Theophilus Lowe is that poet, who made me throw that tissue away and put a smile on my face and made my day. May god bless and may you find your way. Sincerely, Joseph Theophilus Lowe

Hell's Creek by Patrick Fox Pdf

After Bill Banes is killed in a spectacular but mysterious car bombing in England, O'Toole volunteers to go to London to bring back his friend's remains. Before he knows it, he's involved in a many-leveled conspiracy that becomes much more complicated than the murder it initially appeared to be. O'Toole follows up on the one consistency in the sketchy chain of evidence: Bill Banes' continuing fascination with a 1978 earthquake in the western United States. From the hundred mile visibilities at the peaks of the Little Belt Mountains, to the subterranean murk of the Lombard Fault in Western Montana, he is once again up to his ears in trouble, straying far beyond his jurisdiction as an employee of Structure—the small and super-secret agency that does the jobs that are too sensitive for the CIA and the FBI—and proving yet again that no good deed goes unpunished. With the aid of Elmer Linthacum, who runs a small town Exxon station, and Becky Sparling, the loving daughter of a multimillionaire cattle rancher who has interests that go beyond his fourteen thousand acres, O'Toole manages to unravel the mystery and avoid getting sewn up—or blown up—in the process.

Memoirs of Living in The McGill Ghetto by John Woschiz Pdf

Author John Woschiz grew up in the area of Montreal known as the Plateau, encompassing a portion known as the McGill Ghetto. After introducing his own family’s history, he shares memories of growing up in that environment in the forties and fifties, describing a bygone era in a place marked by its cultural diversity. My Own Country by Abraham Verghese Pdf

The memoir and first book from the author of the beloved New York Times bestseller Cutting for Stone. Nestled in the Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee, the town of Johnson City had always seemed exempt from the anxieties of modern American life. But when the local hospital treated its first AIDS patient, a crisis that had once seemed an “urban problem” had arrived in the town to stay. Working in Johnson City was Abraham Verghese, a young Indian doctor specializing in infectious diseases. Dr. Verghese became by necessity the local AIDS expert, soon besieged by a shocking number of male and female patients whose stories came to occupy his mind, and even take over his life. Verghese brought a singular perspective to Johnson City: as a doctor unique in his abilities; as an outsider who could talk to people suspicious of local practitioners; above all, as a writer of grace and compassion who saw that what was happening in this conservative community was both a medical and a spiritual emergency. Out of his experience comes a startling but ultimately uplifting portrait of the American heartland as it confronts—and surmounts—its deepest prejudices and fears.

INKED by Jeb Blount Pdf

Learn powerful closing and sales negotiation tactics that unlock yes and seal the deal. Each year, sales professionals leave billions of dollars on the table because they are out gunned, out maneuvered, and out played by savvy buyers, who have been schooled in the art and science of negotiation. Because today’s buyers have more power than ever before—more information, more at stake, and more control over the buying process—they almost always enter sales negotiations in a much stronger position than the salespeople on the other side of the table. The results are sadly predictable: salespeople and their companies end up on the losing end of the deal. In this brutal paradigm, if you fail to master the skills, strategies, and tactics to go toe-to-toe with modern buyers and win at the sales negotiation table, your income and long-term earning potential will suffer—along with your company’s growth, profits, and market valuation. In his new book INKED: The Ultimate Guide to Powerful Closing and Sales Negotiation Tactics that Unlock YES and Seal the Deal, Jeb Blount levels the playing field by giving you the strategies, tactics, techniques, skills, and human-influence frameworks required to become a powerful and effective sales negotiator. In his signature, straightforward style, Jeb pulls no punches. He slaps you right in the face with the cold, hard truth and lays bare the reasons why you keep getting beaten by buyers who have been trained in how to play you. Then, he teaches you exactly what you need to know, do, and say to gain more control and more power over the outcomes of your deals, and WIN. You’ll learn: Seven Immutable Rules of Sales Negotiation Why “Win-Win” Usually Means “You-Lose” The One Rule of Sales Negotiation You Must Never Break How to Leverage the Powerful MLP Strategy to Bend Win Probability in Your Favor The ACED Buyer Persona Model and How to Flex to Buyer Communication Styles Seven Principles of Effective Sales Negotiation Communication How to Leverage the DEAL Sales Negotiation Framework to Control the Negotiation Conversation and Get Ink How to Gain the Advantage with Comprehensive Sales Negotiation Planning Strategies and Tools Powerful Negotiation Psychology and Influence Frameworks that Keep You in Control of the Conversation How to Rise Above the Seven Disruptive Emotions that are Holding You Back at the Sales Negotiation Table How to Protect Yourself from the Psychological Games that Buyers Play With these powerful tactics in your sales arsenal, you will approach sales negotiations with the confidence and power to take control of the conversation and get the prices, terms, and conditions that you deserve. INKED is the most comprehensive Sales Negotiation resource ever developed for the sales profession. Unlike so many other negotiating books that ignore the reality sellers face in the rapid-fire, real world of the sales profession, INKED is a sales-specific negotiation primer. You’ll learn directly from one of the most sought-after and celebrated sales trainers of our generation. Following in the footsteps of his blockbuster bestsellers Fanatical Prospecting, Sales EQ, and Objections, Jeb Blount's INKED puts the same strategies employed by his clients—a who’s who of the world’s most prestigious organizations—right into your hands.
