How I Found the Urantia Book: 367 Inspiring True Stories by Saskia Praamsma Pdf

This book contains 367 accounts of how early readers found the Urantia Book and what it means to them. The Urantia Book is a superhuman revelation of truth given to the peoples of our planet, which they call Urantia. It teaches us about God, the structure of the universe and its divinely planned development, angels, life after death, the origin and history of our planet, the life and teachings of Jesus, and our eternal destiny as perfected citizens of a friendly universe. It provides an enlightening picture of reality in which science, religion, and philosophy are unified. The authors are a corps of celestial beings who were authorized to reveal this information to us, which was mysteriously transmitted through the mind of a "sleeping subject." When the 2097-page Urantia Book was first published in 1955 it was decided not to advertise it, to let the message spread from one reader to another. This book of testimonies traces how 367 readers discovered the revelation, from pre-publication days in 1924 to the coming of the popular Internet in the late 1990s.

Culted Child: The True Story of a Daughter Disciple by Maria Peregolise Pdf

THE FIRST OF ITS KIND - Testimony from a 2nd Generation Adult, Born and Raised in, and Leaving a Cult Leader of The URANTIA Book. Culted Child is a memoir by the daughter of a Spiritual Prophet - a father who used the theology of The URANTIA Book as a framework for his secret conversations with her. These secrets shared his daily communications and miracles from God... Packed with research references and resources, Culted Child utilizes Peregolise's turbulent childhood experience as an opportunity to communicate the signs and symptoms of being raised in a Cultic or Manipulative Environment. "This harrowing and tragic story speaks to the mind-shattering complexity a child faces in surviving loving and being loved by a malignant narcissist . . . For the many, far more than we realize, who have grown up under the extraordinary control of a powerful, charismatic and deeply delusional parent, Peregolise's story of survival and ultimate freedom is a revelatory and inspiring gift of hope." -- Daniel Shaw, LCSW -- Traumatic Narcissism: Relational Systems of Subjugation, and Traumatic Narcissism and Recovery: Leaving the Prison of Shame and Fear "Culted Child does indeed read like a novel, made all the more frightening by the fact that it is real. It really happened." -- Ron Burks, PhD -- Damaged Disciples: Casualties of Authoritarian Churches and the Shepherding Movement "Vivid episodes from childhood frame her memories with rational insights she discovered through her research in the cult recovery field. Culted Child shows Maria's strength of spirit, and will validate others who grew up in coercive families or groups." -- Nori Muster -- Betrayal of the Spirit ". . . discusses the signs and symptoms of being raised in a cult or narcissistic environment, as well as the fantastical and outlandish content of the controversial book and the effects it has on its followers." -- Rachel Bernstein, LMFT -- IndoctriNATION Podcast ". . . a marvelous memoir of her heroic struggle to both emerge from her father's cult and to reveal the story behind the formation of The Urantia Book cult." -- Joe Szimhart, Cult Information Specialist -- Santa Fe, Bill Tate, and Me: How an Artist Became a Cult Interventionist https: //cultedchild.com/, Rachel Berstein, IndoctriNATION: Thought Adjusters w/ Maria Peregolise, iGotOut, Art Ascent, Gold Writer Award, ICSA Today.

The Public Domain by James Boyle Pdf

Please read the legal notice included in this e-book and/or check the copyright status in your country. In this enlightening book James Boyle describes what he calls the range wars of the information age-today's heated battles over intellectual property. Boyle argues that just as every informed citizen needs to know at least something about the environment or civil rights, every citizen should also understand intellectual property law. Why? Because intellectual property rights mark out the ground rules of the information society, and today's policies are unbalanced, unsupported by evidence, and often detrimental to cultural access, free speech, digital creativity, and scientific innovation. Boyle identifies as a major problem the widespread failure to understand the importance of the public domain-the realm of material that everyone is free to use and share without permission or fee. The public domain is as vital to innovation and culture as the realm of material protected by intellectual property rights, he asserts, and he calls for a movement akin to the environmental movement to preserve it. With a clear analysis of issues ranging from Jefferson's philosophy of innovation to musical sampling, synthetic biology and Internet file sharing, this timely book brings a positive new perspective to important cultural and legal debates. If we continue to enclose the "commons of the mind," Boyle argues, we will all be the poorer.

(Re)structuring Copyright by Daniel J. Gervais Pdf

In this bold and persuasive work Daniel Gervais, one of the world’s leading thinkers on the subject of intellectual property, argues that the international copyright system is in need of a root and branch rethink. As the Internet alters the world in which copyright operates beyond all recognition, a world increasingly defined by the might of online intermediaries and spawning a generation who are simultaneously authors, users and re-users of creative works, the structure of copyright in its current form is inadequate and unfit for purpose. This ambitious and far-reaching book sets out to diagnose in some detail the problems faced by copyright, before eloquently mapping out a path for comprehensive and structured reform. It contributes a reasoned and novel voice to a debate that is all too often driven by ignorance and partisan self-interest.

Amerindian Rebirth by Canadian Anthropology Society. Meeting Pdf

Until now few people have been aware of the prevalence of belief in some form of rebirth or reincarnation among North American native peoples. This collection of essays by anthropologists and one psychiatrist examines this concept among native American societies, from near the time of contact until the present day. Amerindian Rebirth opens with a foreword by Gananath Obeyesekere that contrasts North American and Hindu/Buddhist/Jain beliefs. The introduction gives an overview, and the first chapter summarizes the context, distribution, and variety of recorded belief. All the papers chronicle some aspect of rebirth belief in a number of different cultures. Essays cover such topics as seventeenth-century Huron eschatology, Winnebago ideology, varying forms of Inuit belief, and concepts of rebirth found among subarctic natives and Northwest Coast peoples. The closing chapters address the genesis and anthropological study of Amerindian reincarnation. In addition, the possibility of evidence for the actuality of rebirth is addressed. Amerindian Rebirth will further our understanding of concepts of self-identity, kinship, religion, cosmology, resiliency, and change among native North American peoples

Space Is the Place by John Szwed Pdf

Considered by many to be a founder of Afrofuturism, Sun Ra—aka Herman Blount—was a composer, keyboardist, bandleader, philosopher, entrepreneur, poet, and self-proclaimed extraterrestrial from Saturn. He recorded over 200 albums with his Arkestra, which, dressed in Egypto-space costumes, played everything from boogie-woogie and swing to fusion and free jazz. John Szwed's Space is the Place is the definitive biography of this musical polymath, who was one of the twentieth century's greatest avant-garde artists and intellectuals. Charting the whole of Sun Ra's life and career, Szwed outlines how after years in Chicago as a blues and swing band pianist, Sun Ra set out in the 1950s to impart his views about the galaxy, black people, and spiritual matters by performing music with the Arkestra that was as vital and innovative as it was mercurial and confounding. Szwed's readers—whether they are just discovering Sun Ra or are among the legion of poets, artists, intellectuals, and musicians who consider him a spiritual godfather—will find that, indeed, space is the place.

The Grand Universe by Celestial Authors Pdf

THE BOOK OF URANTIA was presented by celestial authors through an anonymous human receiver. It was published in 1955 as The Urantia Book, a 2,097-page volume divided into four parts and 196 papers. These papers describe God, the grand universe and its many inhabitants, the origin and history of our planet (Urantia), the life and teachings of Jesus, and the glorious destiny God has planned for every creature throughout his vast domains. This volume comprises Part I, The Central and Superuniverses, and Part II, The Local Universe, together comprising the Grand Universe wherein we live. The other two volumes, Part III, The History of Urantia and Part IV, The Life and Teachings of Jesus are published separately. Since the first printing in 1955 a number of changes were made to the text by two different publishers, resulting in inconsistencies. In 2007 a joint Standard Reference Text Committee was formed of long-time readers to review the changes and adopt a uniform text for future printings. This book duplicates the 1955 book word for word and line for line, with footnotes indicating the Committee's decisions.

Does God Have a Big Toe? by Marc Gellman Pdf

Before there was anything, there was God, and a few angels, and a huge swirling glob of rocks and water with no place to go. The angels asked God, "Why don't you clean up this mess?" This collection of short, funny stories is one man's interpretation of how God did just that -- with some very unlikely help. There was Adam, who decided to number the animals instead of giving them names -- until he lost count. There was Max, a matchmaking angel disguised as a camel. And who could forget the kindly dolphins of the Red Sea or the builders of the spectacularly chaotic Tower of Babel, whose foundation rests in one small girl's question: "Mommy, does God have a big toe?" Reflecting Mr. Gellman's lifelong love for his subject, this witty collection of midrashim provides a wonderful way to learn about and to share the stories of the Bible. Distinguished artist Oscar de Mejo brings the right blend of reverence and humor with his magnificent oil paintings. Angel Numbers by Doreen Virtue Pdf

"Why do I always see the numbers 444 (or 111, 333, etc.) everywhere I go?" is one of the most frequently asked questions that Doreen Virtue receives at her worldwide workshops. In her best-selling book Healing with the Angels, Doreen included a chapter that briefly explained the meanings behind these number sequences, and many people have commented that they carry the book with them everywhere to help them interpret the numbers they see daily. By popular request from Doreen’s audience members, Angel Numbers has been created to serve as a pocket guide containing the angelic meanings of numbers from 0 to 999. Designed to fit into a purse or pocket for easy transport, Angel Numbers provides an interpretation of more complex number sequences than was previously available in Healing with the Angels. This new book focuses on numbers such as 123, 337, 885, and so on. Whether you’re seeing these numbers on license plates, telephone numbers, the clock, or other locations, they’re very real messages from the angels. Angel Numbers will help you instantly understand the meaning of these signs!
