Isocracy by Nicolò Bellanca Pdf

In the twentieth century there were two great political and social paradigms, the liberal-democratic and the libertarian (in its various socialist, anarchist, and communist delineations). The central idea of the first approach is isonomy: the exclusion of any discrimination on the basis that legal rights are afforded equally to all people. The central idea of the second approach is rather to acknowledge and address a broader spectrum of known inequalities. Such an approach, Bellanca argues, allows the pursuit of pluralism as well as a more realistic and complex view of what equality is. Here he analyzes the main economic and political institutions of an isocratic society, and in so doing, effectively outlines how a utopian society can be structurally and anthropologically realized. This book is ideal reading for an audience interested in the critique of contemporary capitalism through a renewed perspective of democratic socialism and leftist libertarianism. Nicolò Bellanca is Associate Professor of Development Economics at the University of Florence, Italy. He is the author of a broad array of scholarly articles, books and textbooks about both the history of economic thought and development economics. His current research focuses on the theory of institutional change.

Punk USA by Kevin Prested Pdf

Through hundreds of exclusive and original interviews, Punk USA documents an empire that was built overnight as Lookout sold millions of records and rode the wave of the second coming of punk rock until it all came crashing down. In 1987, Lawrence Livermore founded independent punk label Lookout Records to release records by his band The Lookouts. Forming a partnership with David Hayes, the label released some of the most influential recordings from California’s East Bay punk scene, including a then-teenaged Green Day. Originally operating out of a bedroom, Lookout created "The East Bay Punk sound,” with bands such as Crimpshrine, Operation Ivy, The Mr. T Experience, and many more. The label helped to pave the way for future punk upstarts and as Lookout grew, young punk entrepreneurs used the label as a blueprint to try their hand at record pressing. As punk broke nationally in the mid 90s the label went from indie outfit to having more money than it knew how to manage.

The Political Thought of the English Free State, 1649–1653 by Markku Peltonen Pdf

English republicanism has long been a major theme in the history of political thought, but the years of the English free state are often overlooked. Drawing on a wide range of sources, including the vast political pamphlet literature of the era, The Political Thought of the English Free State, 1649–1653 offers a provocative reassessment of the English Revolution and an original new perspective on English republicanism. Markku Peltonen explores the arguments in defence of the English free state and demonstrates the profound importance of the republican period. The pamphleteers who defended the free state maintained that the people, or their representatives, could alter the form of government whenever they deemed it advantageous, put forward powerful anti-monarchical arguments and widely shared the republican conviction that individual freedom could only materialise in a free state. Peltonen also highlights the unprecedented debate over whether the free state was an aristocracy or democracy and shows how, for the first time in English history, democracy was not only robustly defended but understood as representative.

The Rakshin Roulette by N. N. Rakshin Pdf

Joe Biden is not a democrat. A democrat is a person who buys roulette wheels in Las Vegas or Monaco. For what? For sortition, for real democracy. No Sortition means No Democracy. This book might be of interest to anyone who seeks The Etymology Dictionary of the Aryan Language. For example Moscow or "Moskva" is an Aryan word - "Mskv". "M" is many, "sk" is a bend, a crook, "v" is a river. Moscow is a serpentine river. "Ar" means a shooting arc or the one who shoots with an arc. The Aryans invented the bow. The word "Aryans" means "archers". London (Lndn) means a river (dn) that flows (l) backwards (n). Africa means people who carry (br) spears (k). The name Emmerich (Mrk) means a mighty (m) king (rk). So America (Mrk) means a Mighty Kingdom. I'm sorry to say America has never had an experiment in democracy. The United States is not a democratic country, and for this reason there is no Democratic Party in this country. The word "steppe" is of Aryan origin. The steppe is the site (st) for grazing animals (p). The word "star" (str) is the site (st) of puncture (r). Democracy is equal opportunities for all residents of the country to become a ruler. Election does not give equal opportunities. Whoever has more money advertises himself more. Whoever advertises himself the most is known to all voters. Whom the voters know, they vote for. Voters vote for the rich or the puppets of the rich. What gives equal opportunities for all residents of the country to become a ruler? Only tossing a coin, only sortition. There was no ‘union treaty’. There was a criminal offence of the Bolsheviks against Russia. There was no USSR. There was Russia under the rule of the Bolsheviks. The USSR was a fake by Satan. Yeltsin was the enemy of democracy and the executioner of Russia. The West is the Gang of the richest antidemocratic (plutocratic) countries. If Mr. Trump in the coming 3 years does not make the United States a democratic country, then in 5 years Nuclear Winter will reign on Earth.

Sisterhood of the Blue Storm by David Rain Pdf

In a time lost in legend, the Isles of Wenaya were united in worship of Javander, goddess of the seas. From her fantastical palace beneath the waves, Javander presided over a caste of priestesses, linked in a thrumming psychic web. Then the web was broken, Javander's people turned to false gods and the priestesses who once served her so well became the Sisterhood of the Blue Storm . . . Ten boys on the cusp of adulthood arrive on the empty tropical island of Xaro to undergo their Manhood Trial, an age-old ritual meant to build character as they leave their childhood behind. They thought they could survive alone. But that was before the killing began. That was before the Blue Storm. To this island of dark magic come Jem and his companions, pursuing their mystic quest for the long-lost crystals of the Orokon, desperate to find Javinder's blue jewel before Jem's evil rival, the anti-god Toth-Vexrah, gets there. Never has the quest been so perilous. Originally released under the pseudonym Tom Arden

Green Day by Kjersti Egerdahl Pdf

Here is an up-to-date, thoroughly researched biography of the world's most popular pop-punk band. Green Day is almost certainly the world's most popular pop-punk band. How they got there is the subject of Green Day: A Musical Biography, the first book to follow the band from their beginnings through the spring 2009 release of 21st Century Breakdown. Tracing the band's evolution from fiercely independent punks to a global powerhouse, Green Day starts with the members' earliest musical influences and upbringing and the founding of the punk club 924 Gilman Street that shaped their sense of community. Discussion of their conflicted feelings about signing to a major label explores the classic rock 'n' roll conundrum of "selling out," while details of their decline and 2004 rebirth offer an inspirational story of artistic rejuvenation. Interviews with the band members and key figures in their lives, excerpted from punk 'zines and other publications, offer a perspective on their methods of self-promotion and the image they have chosen to project over time.
