Manual on Assisted Reproduction by T. Rabe,K. Dietrich,Thomas Strowitzki Pdf

Our knowledge of reproductive medicine has expanded rapidly since the birth of Louise Brown, the first baby to be conceived by in vitro fertilization, which was performed by Professors Patrick Steptoe and Bob Edwards in Oldham, Eng land, in 1978. Hardly a year goes by without the development of a new or a modification of an existing method of assisted reproduction. Within a relatively short period, in vitro fertilization has been introduced into the treatment of female infertility. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection has also created new opportunities for the treatment of male infertility. The first edition of this book was published in 1996. In the second edition most of the chapters have been updated and additional interest is focused on intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in view of the risk of malformations in newborns. This manual addresses the techniques of assisted reproduction that are avail able today. Competent authors from various centers present, in a concise way, their tried-and-tested procedures, so that the latter can be readily implemented. Due to different legal regulations, the scope of assisted reproduction is much more limited in Germany than in many other countries. For example, whereas only three embryos may be created and transferred in Germany, such restric tions do not exist in several other European countries and the United States. Furthermore, heterologous fertilization, oocyte donation, and surrogate mother hood are banned in Germany.

Manual of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) covers all the aspects of the latest technologies, including the most recent topic of Vitrification. There are numerous photographs which makes the subject appealing as well as easy to understand. Each topic has been elaborated in depth so as to impart profound knowledge to readers. Several of them have written to me about the clarity of thought and simplicity of language that have become a hallmark of Kanthi Bansal’s style of writing. Infertility management has taken a new turn in this era. With the advent of assisted reproduction techniques (ART), there is a larger area of education that is vacant. This book depicts its simple representation of the advanced techniques. The subject was covered in-depth, keeping the length of the book minimal, to facilitate quick and complete reading at one stretch. Manual of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) aims at simplifying the clinical and laboratory aspects of advanced techniques of intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Infertility in the Male by Larry I. Lipshultz,Stuart S. Howards,Craig S. Niederberger Pdf

The new edition of this canonical text on male reproductive medicine will cement the book's market-leading position. Practitioners across many specialties - including urologists, gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, medical endocrinologists and many in internal medicine and family practice – will see men with suboptimal fertility and reproductive problems. The book provides an excellent source of timely, well-considered information for those training in this young and rapidly evolving field. While several recent books provide targeted 'cookbooks' for those in a male reproductive laboratory, or quick reference for practising generalists, the modern, comprehensive reference providing both a background for male reproductive medicine as well as clinical practice information based on that foundation has been lacking until now. The book has been extensively revised with a particular focus on modern molecular medicine. Appropriate therapeutic interventions are highlighted throughout.
