Marketing Strategies for Indian Software Development Companies in Entering Western European Markets by Junaid Javaid Pdf

Project Report from the year 2015 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: B, University of Bedfordshire, language: English, abstract: This theory into practice report is written on the topic of ‘Identifying certain characteristics of marketing strategy for Indian software development companies in entering Western European market’. Main aim of this report is to identify certain characteristics that would permit Indian software companies to develop successful marketing strategies. It has been analysed that India has managed to hold India dominant position around the world in the software development field. It has been observed that the growth intensity of Indian software development industry is much higher than countries. It seemed to be difficult task for the companies to formulate strategies for entering foreign market for the very first time. And for this purpose these companies would have make several decision during this process. Usually, the process of foreign market entry follows different phases. When a company decides to make entry into foreign market, at a first stage if would have to decide which market shout it have to enter. When the particular market is selected then the company would to analyse that what sort of entry mode will be pursued. And at the last stage, the company would have to follow the operationalising of the market process. It has been learned that currently most of Indian software companies have been focused on providing general software development services rather than products. It has also been ascertained that when Western European companies would decide to outsource their projects/services to Indian software companies then they would intend on the utilisation of an offshore development center. it has been examined that certain problems (like differences in efficiency, meeting quality standards and deadlines) could be faced by the Indian software development companies while entering Western European market. It has been intended that there are six characteristics (lower psychical distance, developing relationships, acquiring knowledge about the target market, maintaining relationships with partners, reducing the price of its marketing offerings and determining its asset investment & risks) of marketing strategy that should be followed by Indian software development companies for making successful entry into the Western European market.

The authors argue that every company or institution must manage four main processes: strategic positioning, market intelligence, value creation and value generation. Adopting a global approach, the book focuses on value creation and introduces students to the tools of the marketing mix in a process oriented manner. New to this edition: - New coverage of technology applications and developments and B2B marketing - Consistent focus on value creation throughout - More examples to illustrate theory - Enhanced pedagogy including long case studies and exercises in every chapter With its unique approach and international coverage, this book is essential reading for advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students of Marketing Management and will also appeal to MBA and other post-experience students.

Innovative ICT Industrial Architecture in East Asia by Hitoshi Hirakawa,Nobuhiro Takahashi,Ferdinand C. Maquito,Norio Tokumaru Pdf

This book aims to shed light on the potentially innovative ICT (information and communication technology) architectures from an East Asian regional perspective. The business environment brought about by the development of ICT intensified global competition and caused dramatic changes in the industrial architecture. Firms that are involved in manufacturing and maintenance of ICT hardware and that offer services for software development are continuously being created, giving rise to the provision of new and diverse services to an increasingly growing East Asian regional market. Such industrial activities are advancing the shift from an old to a new industrial architecture. Some parts of emerging economies have grasped this edge on economic globalization and informatization and have adopted business models that enable them to enter the world economy. Entering this century, China, the Philippines, and Vietnam in East Asia have been rapidly expanding their ICT-BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) businesses as destinations of offshoring of service activities by firms in the advanced economies, following India’s example. Policy makers and firms in those countries are also meeting the challenge of catching up with advanced economies through the development of such industries. It has enabled those economies to exploit new possibilities of further development, which may mean a new stage of manufacturing cum services in an ICT- and knowledge-based economy.
