White Roses for My Love by Eve Grafton Pdf
This book is the continuing love story of Bethany and Alessandro Rodrigos, who were introduced in my first novel, Mistaken Obsession. Their Hotel Aria in Buenos Aires is successful, and when Sandros sister Ana Dumont and her children are forced to leave Paris and join her brother in her native Argentina, Ana organizes a singing show in the beautiful hotel ballroom once a month, with the families of the Dumonts and the Rodrigos taking part, to earn some money for her daily expenses. All the family members have talents, which are enjoyed by the audiences, and the shows are very popular. Ana and the children return to Paris at the invitation of her former modelling agency, and she looks forward to a reunion with her husband, Pierre. Ana is lauded by her previous employers, but it is proven once again that it is not safe for Tamara in France when she is attacked on stage by the son of her previous attacker. They go back to Buenos Aires to their life without their father, Pierre Dumont, who remains in France to continue his medical career and working for the anti-terrorist group he had been working with prior to his abduction in Syria. Sandro and his family love to visit the ranch as often as they are able to. The ranch has been passed down to the eldest son for generations. It is wonderful for them as an escape from the stresses of the city. However, visits to the ranch, which are usually so peaceful, are interrupted by uninvited gueststhe first is an illegal attempt to take cattle from the property, and Sandro is shot by one of the intruders, which causes great stress for the family. Subsequent events eventually lead up to a greater tragedy, which affects them all, and life will never be the same again.

White Roses on the Floor of Heaven by Susanna Morrill Pdf
First published in 2006. This volume marks the tenth volume in its series: Religion in History, Society and Culture. This series is designed to bring exciting new work by young scholars on religion to a wider audience. Susanna Morrill offers here a fine and sensitive reading of the little known, and often simply caricatured, history of the religious lives of Mormon women at the turn of the twentieth century. She reads the extensive use of flower imagery in poetry and other writing by these women as a species of lay theologizing—a way that LDS women elaborated and celebrated the latent female symbolism within a still young and incomplete religious system.

Human Memory by Mary B. Howes,Geoffrey O'Shea Pdf
While memory research has recently focused on brain images and neurological underpinnings of transmitters, Human Memory: A Constructivist View assesses how our individual identity affects what we remember, why and how. This book brings memory back to the constructivist questions of how all the experiences of an individual, up to the point of new memory input, help to determine what that person pays attention to, how that information is interpreted, and how all that ultimately affects what goes into memory and how it is stored. This also affects what can be recalled later and what kind of memory distortions are likely to occur. The authors describe constructionist theories of memory, what they predict, how this is borne out in research findings, presenting everyday life examples for better understanding of the material and interest. Intended for memory researchers and graduate level courses, this book is an excellent summary of human memory research from the constructivist perspective. Defines constructivist theory in memory research Assesses research findings relative to constructivist predictions Identifies how personal experience dictates attention, interpretation, and storage Integrates constructivist based findings with cognitive neuroscience

The Art of Gardening with Roses by Graham Stuart Thomas Pdf
Graham Stuart Thomas stands alone as the world's pre-eminent rose gardener. In this unique presentation he focuses on the uses of a variety of garden plants--flowering and nonflowering--with which to create enduring garden designs that rescue roses from the stiff formality of most ornamental gardens. Here, Mr. Thomas employs the lessons of the magnificent garden at Mottisfont Abbey, first created by him in 1972 and extended in the 1980s, to demonstrate thrilling design choices and methods of lengthening the flowering seasons open to any alert gardener. As Henry Mitchell, the Washington Post's distinguished horticulturist, puts it: "It was Thomas who launched the revival of interest in roses long out of commerce...He found many of the unheard-of nineteenth-century roses at Bobbink and Atkins Nursery in New Jersey and the old Lester and Tillotson Nursery in California. The authority of Graham Stuart Thomas is by no means limited to roses. He writes authoritatively on perennials, garden design, the grouping of plants, on groundcovers and much else...Few gardeners are so catholic or such connoisseurs." The present book is a glorious display--in words and color illustrations--of Mr. Thomas's gardens, providing an education for the reader in the design of his own garden. Photographs show roses close up and in garden settings with complementary plants that extend the flowering season of the gardens into the late fall. The author explores the origins of the roses selected and explains how he has employed their particular qualities in his designs. He includes a checklist to assist gardeners who wish to re-create these sumptuous plant combinations.
