So You're Seeking to Renew Your Faith by Anthony Lindsay Doherty,Tony Doherty Pdf

This is a friendly and accessible overview for adult Catholics wanting to refresh their appreciation of the Catholic tradition. It is a modest overview for people - perhaps caught up in the confusion of many things - wanting to breathe some new life into their Catholic faith and make better sense of it. Our hope is that these reflections on the Catholic story may stimulate a renewed appreciation of their faith, particularly as adults, and enliven a fresh understanding of the good news which they already possess. It can also be used for those enquiring to become Catholic and as a resource for group reflection and discussion. An excellent resource for adult faith formation.

Reflections in the Ripples by Charles Barnett Pdf

A lake untroubled by the wind can be as reflective as a mirror. However, with the slightest breeze the surface is agitated and the reflection is no longer clearly represented. The reflection is distorted and the small details that make up the complete picture can no longer be discerned. Our lives are similar to lakes in this instance. We look upon our lives trying to see ourselves as we are but the surface is constantly moving and disturbed by the moments that define us. This is why we must look beneath the surface where no matter what commotions are occurring above, the image remains unaffected and motionless and things appear as they truly exist. Then we can properly envision our current state and make appropriate decisions to bring about necessary changes. We’ve been given a mirror, faultless and pristine, in which to gaze and evaluate ourselves from the image reflected. This mirror is God’s Word. In it is truth and enlightenment for everyone who cares to search for the answers to all questions. Find your “No-Wake Zone” where you can clearly evaluate your current situation and standing so you’ll be able to make quality choices to help bring about desired results.

I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die by Sarah J. Robinson Pdf

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

The Lord Has Given Us the True Salvation (Mark 16:1-20) 13. Preach the Gospel to Every Creature (Mark 16:14-18) 14. Whoever Believes and Is Baptized Will Be Saved (Mark 16:14-20) The Gospel of Mark testifies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God Himself. And it also testifies that He is our Savior. So we can see the writer of the Gospel of Mark bearing witness of Jesus forcefully, testifying that He is God Himself and our Savior. That's why I would like to bear witness of this Jesus Christ manifested in the Gospel of Mark as much as possible, based on the gospel of the water and the Spirit. What is obvious is that the core Truth of Christianity is found in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). Where, then, is the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit revealed? This Truth of salvation is revealed in detail in the ministry of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist, the substance of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit exerts a tremendous influence on other people's souls. The faith of this gospel enables every believer to come before the holy God, come under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Such faith allows us to attain "spiritual priesthood." We must preach that Jesus Christ is our Savior according to the revelation of the gospel of the water and the Spirit and our faith. So, we do not want the gospel of the water and the Spirit to remain exclusively ours. This gospel of the water and the Spirit is the gospel that should be shared with everyone all over the world.
