Super-Abundant Grace by Keith D. Stanglin Pdf

What is the apostle Paul's message in his Letter to the Romans? And how does it apply to us today? Is there more to learn about Romans, and is there more for the church to hear today? Keith Stanglin takes this familiar epistle and makes sense of its author's original intent and its meaning for believers now. With attention both to the historical background and to our contemporary situation, he offers thirty-one meditations that take readers through the entire letter, beginning with the ancient arguments and arriving at modern exhortation. Each chapter is accompanied by discussion questions for use in classes and study groups. For scholars serving the church, this book is a welcome supplement to a technical commentary. For non-specialists, it is an introduction to Romans and an invitation to seek its wisdom. All readers will see Paul's message of God's grace in fresh ways.

Super Abundance Grace by Sandra Nelson,Heather Adjei,Juuf Creative Studios Pdf

God has given Sandra Nelson a practical message of grace to share with the body of Christ, which goes beyond the common concept of unmerited favour. Sandra Nelson brings this message in a simple, unique and accessible form, and this she has done time and time again in every Lady to Lady conference over the past 5 years. Through Sandra Nelson I have come to practically understand and embrace what grace actually means, and not only that, I have also come to understand how to walk in it. You can read my unique testimony of healing through the message of grace in my book, 'Defying the Odds – One man's struggle and victory over mental illness and his wife whose trust in God never failed'. You will see the role Sandra Nelson played in the final lap of my husband's marathon journey of an 18 year battle with mental illness, and how her words of grace propelled us to the finish line. I have become grace-conscious through watching and imitating this graceful lady and the results speak for themselves. At last, we have the transcript of the extraordinary Lady to Lady conference and how timely it is, with the theme being Super Abundance Grace. Through this book, we can relive the moments and experience that same anointing of grace through the recorded words of the ministration, the pictures and the testimonies. This book is a gem, a manual for living, it is another chapter in the book of Acts, a transcript that many are looking for but do not know.I have learnt that grace is what separates the winners in life. Grace is what is required for the stress free life that many seek. Grace is what makes the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary. Many people use all their efforts to improve their lives, but end up becoming frustrated when their efforts fail, but all that is required is grace! Foreword by ~Zoe A Onah ~author of Defying the Odds.

The Pastoral Epistles by Scot McKnight Pdf

In the church tradition three letters, now known as the Pastoral Epistles, are attributed to the apostle Paul. They are unlike any other letters by Paul. They are written to two of his closest companions, Timothy and Titus, and they instruct those two leaders how to lead gathered Christians in Ephesus and in Crete. The letters contain plenty of instruction for how church leaders at that time, and in those places, were to function. In this commentary, Scot McKnight seeks to explain the major themes of the Pastoral Epistles - church order, false teaching, and failing Christians - and their foundational vision for how Christians could make a good impression in public life. These three brief letters express a view of how Christians were to live in the Roman empire in a way that does not offend public sensibilities. They prescribe a way of public behavior best translated as 'civilized religion.'

A Theology of Paul the Apostle, Part One by G. Roger Greene Pdf

The legacy of Paul looms large in all Christian theology. While the study of Paul is not a simple task, proper interpretation should be sustainable on the basis of a thorough examination of Paul’s letters within their historical matrix. The work, Theology of Paul the Apostle, is presented in two parts. Part One, Paul’s Eschatological Gospel, addresses matters relevant for Paul’s appreciation of the gospel of God in the establishment of the eschatological community in Christ. Paul’s Judaism informs his apocalyptic description, as he expresses his thought with consistent convictions within the varied contingent contexts of his communities within a Greco-Roman world. Part Two, Cross and Atonement, examines a perennial “storm center” within Paul’s theology from both an exegetical and developmentally historical perspective. Paul was embraced by the gospel of God “in Christ,” the resurrection being the turning point of the ages. While Paul’s theology and the understandings of Paul must be established point by point, Paul’s theology has continuing relevance within the very different matrix of a postmodern world.

God's Wounds: Hermeneutic of the Christian Symbol of Divine Suffering, Volume Two by Jeff B. Pool Pdf

This book constitutes the second volume of a three-volume study of Christian testimonies to divine suffering: God's Wounds: Hermeneutic of the Christian Symbol of Divine Suffering, vol. 2, Evil and Divine Suffering. The larger study focuses its inquiry into the testimonies to divine suffering themselves, seeking to allow the voices that attest to divine suffering to speak freely, then to discover and elucidate the internal logic or rationality of this family of testimonies, rather than defending these attestations against the dominant claims of classical Christian theism that have historically sought to eliminate such language altogether from Christian discourse about the nature and life of God. This second volume of studies proceeds on the basis of the presuppositions of this symbol, those implicit attestations that provide the conditions of possibility for divine suffering-that which constitutes divine vulnerability with respect to creation-as identified and examined in the first volume of this project: an understanding of God through the primary metaphor of love (God is love); and an understanding of the human as created in the image of God, with a life (though finite) analogous to the divine life-the imago Dei as love. The second volume then investigates the first two divine wounds or modes of divine suffering to which the larger family of testimonies to divine suffering normally attest: (1) divine grief, suffering because of betrayal by the beloved human or human sin; and (2) divine self-sacrifice, suffering for the beloved human in its bondage to sin or misery, to establish the possibility of redemption and reconciliation. Each divine wound, thus, constitutes a response to a creaturely occasion. The suffering in each divine wound also occurs in two stages: a passive stage and an active stage. In divine grief, God suffers because of human sin, betrayal of the divine lover by the beloved human: divine sorrow as the passive stage of divine grief; and divine anguish as the active stage of divine grief. In divine self-sacrifice, God suffers in response to the misery or bondage of the beloved human's infidelity: divine travail (focused on the divine incarnation in Jesus of Nazareth) as the active stage of divine self-sacrifice; and divine agony (focused on divine suffering in the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth) as the passive stage of divine self-sacrifice.

Abundance of Grace by Joses Hizkiah Pdf

Grace is from the Greek word "Charis" and it means the bestowal of divine gifts from God which may be natural or supernatural in nature. Grace is mentioned one hundred and seventy times in the bible. Grace enables us to achieve things that are ordinarily impossible to men; and by it, we are highly favored in everything we do and everywhere we go. Grace is the divine influence upon a man's heart that opens him to God and draws him out of sin to God's eternal blessings! God does things for His people just because He loves them and not because they did something to earn it. Grace makes us to reside in the kingdom of God, live in unlimited resources and total freedom. Without Jesus "we can do nothing" [John 15:5], for it was Him that paid the price for our redemption. "For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift." - John 1:16 AMP Grace is made available in super-abundant measure which is a greater quantity than is wanted; it is such an overflowing, never ending spiritual substance, always being poured upon us from the infinite and illimitable God. There is a river of the Holy Ghost now bringing superfluity of grace; this agrees with the word of the Lord quoted above, we have received grace upon grace, blessings heap upon heap; we have been endowed with superlative, copious and never ending volume of grace. It is the season of great mercy and favor of God!
