The Awakening of the Widow Maker by Zoez Lajoune Pdf

The Awakening of The Widow Maker is the story of high school senior Carlos MacIntyre aka Lil Carlos, who loses his mind amid the violence birthed from a deadly trapezoid of personal ambition and selfish exploitation, which take place between two feuding families, controlling two crews at war in a struggle for power over a highaEUR"volume drugaEUR"trafficking zone. The war birthed from an old family betrayal that originated in North Minneapolis that has spread over time into a neighborhood that is located off Brooklyn Boulevard and Zane Avenue in the heart of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The resilience of the human part of Lil Carlos's soul attempting to survive the darkness unleashes The Widow Maker-a psychopathic, unrelenting, serialaEUR"killing entity that has been waiting in a dark chamber of his mind since he was in the womb. Driven by an insatiable thirst for blood, along with a growing hunger to inflict pain, he leaves a very disturbing dark age calling card at each homicide scene across the Twin Cities. The unrepentant ones who have no loyalty, destroy the balance of the streets, and incite his wrath will bear his eternal mark. Swiftly, his trail of carnage stretches from the doors of Park Center High to Regions Hospital in East St. Paul, Minnesota. None that fall on his list can find refuge at any place. Lead Detective Tommy Soprano, along with his rookie partner Mike Kowalski, are in a race against time to catch a methodical killer before he strikes again and save a young man with a severe psychosis, before he is lost forever to the darkness within himself. John Wayne Gacy (Chicago, Illinois), Jeffrey Dahmer (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), and John Lee Malvo (Washington, DC) each had their own dwelling, territory, and story with roots of old. However, even they knew well not to cross into the backyard of the Twin Cities. Lest, through their own illaEUR"gotten behavior, they too should fall on the list of none other than . . . The Light of Death Himself. . . The Widow Maker!

Them by Robert Premus Pdf

Dale, a soldier, has been wounded in every way possible. Body and soul forever tarnished by combat, he seeks a way to start over. Released on parole to a small Pennsylvanian town he’s never heard of and isolated from those he knows, he throws himself into the job he’s been given—and finds the way of life he has been fighting for all along. When he meets Janet, the girl next door, everything he thought he knew begins to shift irretrievably out of focus. To the people of Somerset, she is a tragic and almost comical figure. No one believes that she was really abducted by aliens when she was a child. To them, she is off-the-planet crazy, so they leave her alone. But not Dale. In her eyes, he sees a kindred spirit, someone who has also been forever changed by combat of a different nature. He alone believes her, and he wants to do all he can to protect her. He immerses himself into research about UFOs, alien abduction, and more. And then Janet disappears. He teams up with a trusted NSA asset to get her back. Dale unintentionally exposes their most prized secrets—the existence of the Greys, the government’s alien invasion, the Nazi base in Antarctica, the proof that top Nazi leaders were actually aliens, and NASA’s evidence that the moon is not only hollow but home to more terrifying secrets. Will Dale be able to complete the ultimate rescue mission for the woman he loves?

Skeleton Picnic by Michael Norman Pdf

Third generation Kanab residents Rolly and Abigail Rogers come from a long line of dedicated pot hunters who scour the desert southwest in search of valuable antiquities. When the Utah couple fails to return from a weekend skeleton picnic, (pot hunting trip) along the desolate Arizona Strip, local Sheriff Charley Sutter turns to BLM Law Enforcement Ranger J.D. Books for help. When Books searches the missing couple’s home for clues about their disappearance, he discovers the house has been burglarized and a valuable collection of ancient Anasazi and Fremont Indian antiquities stolen. Soon a search and rescue operation finds the Rogers’ truck and trailer at an abandoned campsite near an ancient Anasazi ruin that has been recently excavated. Footprints and other evidence lead Books to conclude that the couple may have been overpowered by a small group of unknown assailants. Sheriff Sutter assigns an attractive young deputy, Beth Tanner, to investigate the burglary of the Rogers’ home under the watchful eye of Books. Together they track some of the stolen property to a pawn shop in St. George, and ultimately to a young Navajo man with a criminal record. Keeping this man alive long enough to make him talk, however, proves difficult. Books and Tanner soon learn of a shadowy group of armed Indian police who patrol vast swaths of tribal and federal lands in search of anyone desecrating ancient Native American burial sites. They also discover several recent unsolved cases in the Four Corners region where individuals disappeared into the desert wilderness under suspicious circumstances, never to be heard from again. Could the disappearance of the Rogers, and others, be the responsibility of this group? As Books and Tanner close in on those responsible, Books’ own survival skills will be tested when he is unwittingly drawn into a remote part of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. There he is forced into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, where the hunter becomes the hunted, and only one person gets to go home alive.

Those Birthdays In-Between by Rene G. Parent Pdf

Midmorning an insurance agent from Ohio calls. "I know you are busy," she says. "I'll keep it brief." Ten minutes later, she laments she always wanted to write. Reading of ourselves is what writing is about and her story waits and is as valid. Weave the everyday routine and those days that aren't. Perhaps a spring break road trip to Lake Tahoe or celebrating the first dozen years poolside in Sacramento. Or maybe those birthdays in between which introduce new decades while celebrating amid family in Vermont. Still it's not what you say, or even write down, rather what others tell themselves as they read alongside. "Write daily of the everyday," I tell her. "Start with the insurance person calling." Writing - a conversation we place ourselves within.
