The British Journal of Homoeopathy, 1877, Vol. 35 (Classic Reprint) by R. E. Dudgeon Pdf

Excerpt from The British Journal of Homoeopathy, 1877, Vol. 35 We gave in our first number for 1876 a full account of the history of the design of this Convention, and an outline of its intended working. We have not recorded its actual assembling, because this had already been done by one of us in the Monthly Homoeopathic Review and to his account, as that of an actual attendant at the meeting, them was nothing to add. But in our present survey of homoeopathy in 1876 no event stands out before us in greater prominence, and we must briefly note its circum stances and results. The British Journal of Homoeopathy, 1883, Vol. 41 (Classic Reprint) by R. E. Dudgeon Pdf

Excerpt from The British Journal of Homoeopathy, 1883, Vol. 41 To judge how far this would suit the wants of the real homeopathic practitioner, let any one take up Watzke's Colo cynth, which consists simply of the proving diaries describing the symptoms in the natural order of their occurrence, and imagine an index added referring to the individual sym ptoms by a number. Supposing, then, it was wished to know all the varieties of any symptom of this drug, say giddiness, we should have a list of ten, or twenty, or thirty referring to that number of sentences or paragraphs where giddiness is mentioned scattered up and down the proving. To hunt up all these would be quite impossible for the practitioner. Suppose, then, to obviate all that searching through the pages of the proving, pretty full details of each variety were given in the index, that would be so voluminous as to amount to a complete schema, and involve printing the whole proving over again. Excerpt from The British Journal of Homeopathy, 1862, Vol. 20 IN the British Journal of Homoeopathy for January, 1861, I published a few remarks embodying my experience of the effects of Hydrastis in cancer. I then stated that the success of the remedy had been variable in my hands, but that it had been sufficient to lead me to form an opposite conclusion to that expressed by Dr. Hastings in the April, 1860, number of the Journal, in which he said, in no single instance has it effected a cure, nor even appeared to check the disease. I also stated that I had. Found the Hydrastis exercise a marked influence in relieving the pain of cancer, while, at the same time, it had improved the general health of the patient. I further mentioned that very sudden prostration of strength had accompanied the continued use of the remedy beyond a certain point. Excerpt from The British Journal of Homeopathy, 1853, Vol. 11 A story is told of the worthy bishop that he Often declared that if he could stand upon the top of St. Paul's, and speak with a voice that all the world could hear. He would say: Drink Tar-water. This enthusiastic admiration of its heal ing virtues, was, doubtless, unadvisedly fixed upon a Single remedy; but we shall, I think, discover from this book, that the views and feelings of the bishop were such, that, if trans ferred from one to all homeopathic remedies, they would then be neither exaggerated nor misplaced.
