The Chemistry of Organoboron Compounds, 2 Volume Set by Anonim Pdf

The ultimate resource in organoboron chemistry Professor Mark Gandelman and his colleagues delve deeply into the theory, structure, analysis, synthesis, and reactions of organoboron chemistry in The Chemistry of Organoboron Compounds. Organoborons are used heavily as highly efficient reagents in many reactions, including cross-coupling and radical reactions. The highly regarded authors have tied together organic-chemical and physico-chemical knowledge usually unavailable from a single source. The book focuses on the use of completely biodegradable "green" reagents, as opposed to environmentally hazardous heavy metal catalysts. The Chemistry of Organoboron Compounds delivers comprehensive and complete information on: The behavior of organoboron compounds The use of organoboron compounds in organic synthesis The commercial applications of organoboron compounds As a volume in the celebrated Patai book series, The Chemistry of Organoboron Compounds includes all the features that readers of that series are used to enjoying, including a comprehensive index at the back of the book.

Organoborane Chemistry by Thomas Onak Pdf

Organoborane Chemistry deals with the chemistry of organoboranes, with emphasis on compounds containing a carbon-boron bond. The structure and physical properties of organoboranes are discussed, along with the reactions of three-coordinate and four-coordinate organoboranes, organodiboranes, and other organopolyboranes such as organotetraboranes and organopentaborane compounds. Comprised of seven chapters, this book begins with an overview of multistep synthetic or degradative reactions involving organoboron compounds, along with the nomenclature for such compounds. The next chapter examines the structure and physical properties of organoboranes, with emphasis on boron-carbon bond lengths, electronic transitions, and molecular orbital calculations. Subsequent chapters focus on three-coordinate and four-coordinate organoboranes, together with their synthesis, reactions, and properties; hydroboration and dehydroboration of organodiboranes; and the synthesis, reactions, and physical properties of other organopolyboranes such as organotetraboranes, organopentaborane compounds, and organodecaborane compounds. The final chapter is devoted to cyclic boron-carbon systems and the applications of organoboron compounds. This monograph should be of interest to organic chemists.

Science of Synthesis: Advances in Organoboron Chemistry towards Organic Synthesis by E. Fernández Pdf

The widespread use of organoboron compounds justifies the efforts devoted to their synthesis, as well as toward developing an understanding of their reactivity. The nature of the mono- or diboron species is of paramount importance in determining the reversible covalent binding properties of the boron atom with both nucleophiles and electrophiles. By wedding the rich chemical potential of organoboron compounds to the ubiquity of organic scaffolds, advanced borylation reactions have the potential to open unprecedented synthetic alternatives, and new knowledge in the field should encourage chemists to use organoboron compounds. In this volume, the main objective is to provide a collection of the most useful, practical, and reliable methods, reported mainly within the last decade, for boron activation and boron reactivity. The volume covers the main concepts of organoboron compounds and includes experimental procedures, enabling newcomers to the field the instant and reliable application of the new tools in synthesis. Rather than aiming for a comprehensive coverage, the most advanced solutions for challenging transformations are introduced. To this end, a team of pioneers and leaders in the field have been assembled who discuss both the practical and conceptual aspects of this rapidly growing field.

Boron and Oxygen by Gert Heller Pdf

The present issue, Volume 2 of "Boron Compounds" 4th Supplement of the Gmelin Hand book, updates the previous issues by reporting the literature on boron-oxygen systems published up to 1988. For some important recent developments literature is covered through mid-1992; this concerns, for example, the compounds ~-Ba3[B306h and U[B305J which became of interest as materials with nonlinear optical properties. The volume directly com plements the earlier "Boron Compounds" 3rd Supplement Volume 2. In the original literature, alternative formulations are frequently used for the same com pound. This is especially true for many borates. Often, these species are neither completely heteropolar nor covalent, and an experimentally based decision has not been made. Hence, the use of brackets does not necessarily reflect a truly salt-like character. Volume 1 (systems with hydrogen and noble gases) of this particular supplement will be published subsequently, whereas Volume 3a (boron and nitrogen), Volume 3b (boron and nitrogen, boron and fluorine), and Volume 4 (boron compounds containing Cl, Br, I, S, Se, and Te, as well as a section containing carboranes) have already been published. All volumes of the 4th supplement will be augmented by a formula index. The IUPAC nomenclature is generally adhered to; thf means tetrahydrofuran; and occa sionally additional abbreviations for compounds are explained in the text. Positive signs for chemical shifts of the NMR signals indicates downfield shifts from the references, usually internal (CH3)4Si for olH and 013C with others being specified.
