The GENESIS OF MAN by Angelo Caiazzo Pdf

The search for human origins has had a long history. Today there are basically two answers to the question of Man's beginnings, known as Creation and Evolution. This book uses evidence from science and myth to consider both positions from a philosophical point of view. Along the way God and the afterlife, atheism and skepticism, the nature of Truth, along with science and myths themselves, and so much more, are all discussed with an aim to clarifying Man's beginnings, his existence, and his current predicament in the world. Well-written, informative, timeless in importance, and sure to be controversial, this book also includes as a bonus a complete previously published book of aphorisms.

Genius of Ancient Man by Don Landis Pdf

Evidences and commonalities explored from ancient man around the globe! Why structures echoing the Tower of Babel have been recreated on almost every continent and major cultureWhat artifacts and archaeology, technology and innovation, really reveal about the origin of mankindWhy many biblical symbols (rainbows, human sacrifice, mountains, the Son/ sun worship) were, and continue to be, distorted in pagan religious practicesWhat the historical record reveals about Satan's "counterfeit" of God's plan for humanityAll over the world there are similar findings of ancient religions, cities and towers, world travel, advanced astronomy, and civilized government. Over the course of two years, a team of researchers from Jackson Hole Bible College has worked to bring together the different pieces of the convoluted mystery and history of ancient man.Hours of researching, trips to various sites around North and Central America, visits to museums, and meetings with experts have provided the team with an overwhelming amount of evidence for the intelligence of these early innovators. A jumble of anomalies and magnificent structures continue to confound archaeology and anthropology today, yet as the dots are connected, one finds history as described in the biblical record.

The Genesis of Books by Matthew T. Hussey,John D. Niles Pdf

This volume is about the book itself, as shaped and made by medieval scribes and as conditioned by the cultural understandings that were present in the world where those scribes lived. Questions relating to the provenance, compilation, script, function, and use - both medieval and modern - of manuscripts are raised and are resolved in a fresh manner. A number of different literary genres and types are explored, ranging from devotional materials (e.g. psalters, sermons, and illustrated gospel books) to texts of a more worldly orientation. A number of plates illustrate the work of particular scribes. While some beautiful codices are showcased, the emphasis falls on plain books written in English, including the Vercelli Book, the Exeter Book, and the Blickling Homilies. Analyses of the history of palaeography and the theoryof editing raise the point that whatever we know from old books is conditioned by the tools used to study them.

What the Bible Actually Teaches on Women by Kevin Giles Pdf

Kevin Giles has been writing on women in the Bible for over forty years. In this book, What the Bible Actually Teaches on Women, he gives the most comprehensive account to date of the competing conclusions to this question and the issues surrounding it. To understand the bitter and divisive debate among evangelicals over the status and ministry of women, it needs to be understood that those who since 1990 have called themselves "complementarians" argue that in creation before the fall God set the man over the woman. Thus, the leadership of the man and the subordination of the woman in the home, the church, and wherever possible in the world (the whole creation) is the God-given ideal that is pleasing to God. It is this "theology" that Kevin Giles deconstructs and shows to be without a biblical foundation. Giles shows that he is fully conversant with the complementarian position and yet is unpersuaded by it. He sees it as an appeal to the Bible to preserve male privilege, similar to the appeals to the Bible to validate slavery and Apartheid; appeals to the Bible made by some of the best Reformed and evangelical biblical scholars, and now seen to be special pleading. Carefully studying the limited number of texts on which complementarians predicate their theology of the sexes, Giles finds not one of them actually teaches what complementarians claim. Furthermore, complementarians too often ignore the texts that are very difficult for them. In this book the ordination of women gets only passing mention. The constant focus is on whether or not the Bible subordinates women to men as an abiding theological principle.
