The Glory of God by Rev'd Dr Graham J Whelan OAM Pdf

Extended Edition. It is difficult for my finite mind even with the glorious guiding of The Holy Spirit – The Eternal Third Person of the Holy Trinity – to clearly define all the attributes of qualities of the Glory of God – The One True God of the Bible. I enclose here and repeat later for emphasis the truth of God’s Glory in Heaven. Revelation 4 and Revelation 5:13 1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God. 6 Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: 11“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” This study simply defines the truth of God’s Glory, Definitions follow. For myself, the wonder of God’s Glory is seen in the truth about His Son, Our Lord Jesus at the transfiguration. The following scriptures are taken from the NIV bible . Mark 8:34-9:13 8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37 Or what can a man give in ex- change for his soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” 9:1 And he said to them, “I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.”

E. M. Bounds on Prayer by E. M. Bounds Pdf

Methodist minister and Civil War chaplain Edward McKendree Bounds (1835-1913) considered conversation with God as fundamentally vital to the Christian's life as physical breath. He devoted the last 17 years of his life to intense intercession and to penning some of the most perennially popular works about prayer. This attractive volume features the very best of his beloved writings. "God shapes the world by prayer. Prayers are deathless. The lips that uttered them may be closed in death, the heart that felt them may have ceased to beat, but the prayers live before God, and God's heart is set on them and prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; they outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world." --from E.M. Bounds on Prayer Every Christian library needs the classics--the timeless books that have spoken powerfully to generations of believers. Hendrickson Christian Classics allow readers to build an essential classics library in affordable modern editions. The Four Positions of the Holy Spirit by Charles Morris Pdf

This book by Pastor Charles Morris is a tool for discovering the work and ministry of the person of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. This teaching is vital to understanding the four positions of the Holy Spirit as He moves and works in the lives of individuals. The Holy Spirit, a divine personality, comes along BESIDE US, convicting us and wooing us to the heart of the Father. Once we are born again, the Holy Spirit moves WITHIN US, revealing the character of the Father to us and through us. When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, He comes UPON US, imbuing us with power to be a bold witness in these last days. As we surrender daily to the leadership of the person of the Holy Spirit, He FILLS US with His presence and leads us in His will and ways. In addition to the studying the work and ministry of the person of the Holy Spirit, this book also gives the biblical proof or evidences of each position of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

Seeing and savouring Jesus Christ by JOHN PIPER Pdf

Who is Jesus Christ? You've never met Him in person, and you don't know anyone who has. But there is a way to know who he is. How? Jesus Christ - the divine Person revealed in the Bible - has a unique excellence and a spiritual beauty that speaks directly to our souls and says, "Yes, this is truth." It's like seeing the sun and knowing that it is light, or tasting honey and knowing that it is sweet. The depth and complexity of Jesus shatter our simple mental frameworks. He baffled proud scribes with his wisdom but was understood and loved by children. He calmed a raging storm with a word but would not get himself down from the cross. Look at the Jesus of the Bible. Keep your eyes open, and fill them with the portrait of Jesus in God's Word. Jesus said, "If anyone's will is to do God's will, He will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority." Ask God for the grace to do His will, and you will see the truth of His Son. John Piper has written this book in the hope that all will see Jesus for who he really is and will come to enjoy him above all else.

The Glory of the Lord God Almighty by Mary L. Hock Pdf

My husband and I were blessed to spend three months in Israel during the summer of the year 2000 where we experienced the presence of God in a powerful and awesome way. From this experience the Holy Spirit has inspired me to write this book about His Glory. In this book you will learn how to enter into the presence of the Lord and how to abide and stay there. I will share with you how God demonstrates His glory through what He has created, and you will learn how it is possible to stand and receive divine revelation in His presence. In the last chapter of this book you will learn all about Jesus, the King of Glory! After all, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the King of Glory, and its all about Him. My pastor at The Potters House Church of God in Columbus, Ohio, has instilled in me a great love and hunger for the Word of God, so this book on the Glory of God contains many Scripture verses to support my thoughts. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to share it with all of you. I hope and pray that you enjoy it, grow from it, and get closer to God through it.

THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT by R.A TORREY,Rev Terry Kulakowski, Editor Pdf

"How can the Holy Spirit have more of me?" The conception of the Holy Spirit as a Divine influence or power that we are somehow to get hold of and use, leads to self-exaltation and self-sufficiency. One who so thinks of the Holy Spirit and who at the same time imagines that he has received the Holy Spirit will almost inevitably be full of spiritual pride and strut about as if he belonged to some superior order of Christians. One frequently hears such persons say, "I am a Holy Ghost man," or "I am a Holy Ghost woman." But if we once grasp the thought that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person of infinite majesty, glory and holiness and power, who in marvelous condescension has come into our hearts to make His abode there and take possession of our lives and make use of them, it will put us in the dust and keep us in the dust. I can think of no thought more humbling or more overwhelming than the thought that a person of Divine majesty and glory dwells in my heart and is ready to use even me.
