But we must go further. We have not done justice to the intention of the Master until we have looked beyond the distinctly religious embodiment of his ideal, and gained a vision of its application to human society in the large. This vision Jesus has not sketched for us with any fulness, but he has given us abundant means of sketching it for ourselves, at least in outline.
