The Layman's Guide to the Rapture by Ian Mann Pdf

IN THIS BOOK YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO THESE QUESTIONS. "Will the church have to endure the time of great tribulation?" "Should we make preparations or rely upon God to take care of us? This book does not contain any secret or heretofore unrevealed truths and there are no special revelations given only to the author. I simply look at the plainly spoken and universally acknowledged teachings of Jesus and His disciples and I look at the timeless principles of God shown to us throughout the Old and New Testaments. That's why I've called this book the "Layman's Guide." You don't have to be a Bible scholar to understand anything in this book, and you can follow along in whatever version of the Bible you prefer. FOUR DISTINCT VIEWS ON THE RAPTURE Pre-tribulation says that the church will be removed from the earth before the tribulation - seven years before the return of Christ. Mid-tribulation says the church will be removed halfway through the tribulation 3 1/2 years before the return of Christ. Pre-wrath differentiates itself by redefining the term "great tribulation" but is really about the same as mid-tribulation without specifying the time. Post-tribulation says the rapture of the church takes place after the great tribulation at the coming of Christ to establish His millennial kingdom. Of these four versions the first three are very similar in that they all say the church will be removed from the earth at some point either before or during the great tribulation. Only the post tribulation view says that the church will remain on earth until the end of the great tribulation. So for all intents and purposes what you really have is two views: pre-tribulation (with variations) and post tribulation. That is how I have addressed them in this book."

Harpazo by Tim Horrell Pdf

Imagine that millions of people have just vanished from the earth. Where did they go? Why did they go? Harpazo: A Layman's Guide to the Rapture explores these questions from a scriptural point of view. Using plain English and the King James Version scriptural references, the case is made that the rapture is a real event that we should be expecting at any moment. It encourages the reader to search out the scriptures for themselves and to pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal this mystery that Paul spoke of. It is not written from a theologian's perspective but from a lover of Christ who felt the need to share these things with others as they were learned and revealed through his personal journey. This book can be used as an evangelical tool and a Bible-study tool or just to add to one's personal journey with our Lord Jesus. See how the rapture models the first-century Jewish wedding traditions and how the Church is the bride of Christ. How easy the book of "the Revelation of Jesus Christ" is to understand when you become familiar with the outline within the Scripture, understanding the church age and where we fit in on that timeline.

The Complete Layman's Guide To End Times Prophecy A Biblical Perspective by Robert R. Ramirez Pdf

Have you looked around at the world and felt as though everything was falling apart? America is struggling economically and no one has any answers. Unemployment has been over 9% for over two years now. It feels like the government is trying to take control of our lives. There is speculation that Greece might collapse economically, and, if they do, other European countries will follow suit. The Middle East is in total chaos and very unstable, with all these people rioting in the streets and wreaking havoc on their respective countries, along with dictators falling and rising from power. Iran is still telling everyone they are intent on annihilating Israel as they improve their nuclear capabilities. As Christians, our hope is in Jesus Christ; we know that our God is sovereign, so all the chaos in the world has no effect on how God brings the world to an end. But the end is in sight, and people are looking for something certain in this world. There are so many questions Christians have regarding End Times Prophecy and do not understand, simply because the church has not fulfilled its purpose in rightly dividing the Word of truth for the saints. The Complete Layman's Guide to End Times Prophecy will bring together all the questions one might have regarding the end of the world and the return of the Warrior King Jesus Christ to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom. This book is clear, concise, and cogent in its message and attempts to address all End Times Prophecy questions. A Layman’s Guide to Revelation by J. J. Ramsay Pdf

The Layman’s Guide to Revelation is a compilation of renowned expositors with different interpretive views of eschatology. The book guides its readers into an in depth study of the Revelation using the critical analysis of commentators of the past to help the reader better understand the present times and God’s plan for the future. The guide defines key words in the Greek translation, and explains the symbolic use of numbers, colors and the foreshadowing of crucial aspects of Israel’s history which will aid in deciphering the visions given to the apostle. The guide further explains the types and use of the Old Testament prophets. By understanding the Old Testament Scriptures the student will better appreciate the background of the language and the Hebraic symbolism used in Revelation. The guide also sheds light on the use of foreshadowing of past empires used in the Old Testament that will further aid in the interpretation of the future and the end-times that we are assuredly apart. The guide takes the reader verse by verse; chapter by chapter through the commentators interpretive views so they can study at their own pace and arrive at their own conclusions. The book also includes a commentary by the author that offers his own insights into Revelation that will surely be of use to those who look to God’s word to better understand the times we live.

A Beginner's Guide to the Rapture by Greg Legge Pdf

The Lord himself will come down from heaven. We will hear a loud command. We will hear the voice of the leader of the angels. We will hear a blast from God’s trumpet. ... We will be taken up in the clouds. We will meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with him forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, NIrV) Many are waiting for the return of Jesus Christ. But what if it’s already happened? Rapture is the biblical prophecy of Christ’s promise to physically return to the earth and gather his followers to meet him in the sky and be granted eternal life in heaven. In A Beginner’s Guide to the Rapture: The History of Christ’s Return, Greg Legge presents a thorough study of historical evidence to argue that Christ fulfilled this promise nearly two thousand years ago. Legge makes a compelling argument that the rapture has come and gone by pairing history with relevant biblical scripture. From analyzing the works of 19th century Adventists to detailing the lives of the 1st century leaders of the Roman Empire, Legge proves that what society has come to assume about the Second Coming may be completely wrong.

Three Views on the Rapture by Craig A. Blaising,Douglas J. Moo Pdf

The rapture--or the belief that Jesus' living followers will, at some point, join him forever while others do not--is an important but contested doctrine among evangelicals. Scholars generally hold one of three perspectives on the timing and circumstances of the rapture, all of which are presented in this important volume of the Counterpoints series, Three Views on the Rapture: Alan D. Hultberg (PhD, Trinity International University and professor of New Testament at Talbot School of Theology) explains the Pre-Wrath view. Craig Blaising (PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary and president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) defends the Pre-Tribulation view. Douglas Moo (PhD, University of St. Andrews and professor of New Testament at Wheaton College) sets forth the Post-Tribulation view. Each author provides a substantive explanation of his position, which is critiqued by the other two authors. A thorough introduction gives a historical overview of the doctrine of the rapture and its effects on the church. The interactive and fair-minded format of the Counterpoints series allows readers to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each view and draw informed, personal conclusions.
