The earliest of the four Gospels, the book portrays Jesus as an enigmatic figure, struggling with enemies, his inner and external demons, and with his devoted but disconcerted disciples. The Ministry of Jesus Christ, the Messiah by Glenn Brunner Pdf

The Ministry of Jesus Christ, the Messiah is an abridged compilation of the four gospelsone continuous writing containing the words of Christ so the reader can read and study the entire ministry of Jesus Christ in one continuous fluid document. Also included in appendices are biblical presentations of Creation and the Flood and other important Christian statements of belief, such as the Apostolic and Nicene Creeds. The following four Bible study topics are included: 1. The Lords Prayer 2. Messiah by George Frideric Handel 3. Precepts of the Christian faith 4. Joy, peace, and contentment Modern day English translations of the four Gospels were used or referenced by the author. When the Apostles spoke of the same event, their words were blended into one account. The author worked to ensure thought or meaning from Scripture containing a description of an event was not lost. If not absolutely clear that the same event was being written about, or if the event could not logically be taken out of context of the particular book, then no blending of text was done. Footnotes help explain key thoughts presented in Scripture because translation from the original Greek does not often lend itself to the modern English language nor common grammatical form, hence the many different translations available today. Regardless of whether a translation uses a very literal translation of Greek or a simpler paraphrase, the original meaning or thought the Lord intended can be unclear without reference to other Scripture.

Jesus Is the Christ by Michael F. Bird Pdf

Entering the fray of a hotly debated issue, Michael Bird argues that the title and role of "Messiah" ascribed to Jesus is not a late addition to the four Gospels but their structural and semantic foundation. Stressing that Christianity is itself a messianic movement, Bird argues that the messianic testimony is the "mother of all Christology."

Jesus the Messiah According to the Gospels by Nathanael Ben-Yehoshua Alrab Pdf

Galatians 1: 7, 8 7which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! (New American Standard Bible) How many times have you read the account of the Five Thousand being fed in Matthew and wanted to know how Mark described it? Perhaps you have read what Luke said about the Triumphal Entry, and wanted to compare it with what John wrote. JESUS THE MESSIAH According to the Gospels emerged from this need. Nathanael Ben Yehoshua Alrabí, like you, sought the answers to such questions in the life and events of the historical Jesus, therefore, this book includes all the events taken directly from the four evangelists. This narrative is not a replacement of the Bible nor is it a different gospel. JESUS THE MESSIAH. is the result of six years of consultation, of researching the scripture and of organizing the story. This is the story of Jesus' life and events in a chronological order easily followed in a single reading. Natanael Ben Yehoshua Alrabí was born in Mexico where he dedicated his life to the principal character of his book. By 1971 and while living in the United States, he received a Bachelor's in Theology. In 1990 he obtained a BA in Education and in 1993 achieved a MA in Spanish Literature. The author and his wife of 35 years are both high school teachers. Nathanael has also taught in several universities. During the past three decades he has served his Lord both as an interim pastor and a Sunday school teacher.

The Resurrection of the Messiah by Francis J. Moloney Pdf

"Taking inspiration from a different interpretative tradition, the classic work of Raymond Brown on the birth and death of the Messiah, Francis Moloney has provided a comprehensive narrative reading of the resurrection stories of all four Gospels, in close association with their passion narratives, to which they are the stunning response. The book traces how the four eangelists' different telling of the resurrection stories has "narrated" the action of God for Jesus, and the action of God and Jesus for all Christians in and through the early Church's belief and experience of the resurrection of Jesus. The final chapter discusses what we can recover about the events of Easter day and, more importantly, what these events meant then, and continue to mean today." - back cover

Mysteries of the Messiah by Rabbi Jason Sobel Pdf

Are you settling for half the story? Highlighting connections that have been hidden from non-Jewish eyes, Rabbi Jason Sobel will connect the dots between the Old and New Testament, helping you see the Bible with clarity as God intended. Most people—even people of faith—do not understand how the Bible fits together. Too many Christians accept half an inheritance, content to embrace merely the New Testament, while Jewish people may often experience the same by embracing only the Old Testament. But God has an intricate plan and purpose for both the Old and the New. In Mysteries of the Messiah, Rabbi Jason Sobel reveals the many connections in Scripture hidden in plain sight. Known for his emphatic declaration “but there’s more!” he guides us in seeing the passion and purpose of the Messiah. Mysteries of the Messiah: Uncovers connections between the Old and New Testaments Connects the dots for readers with details about Jesus, the Torah, and biblical characters Written with the unique perspective of a rabbi with an evangelical theological degree No matter how many times you have read the Bible, Mysteries of the Messiah will bring fresh perspective and insight. God’s Word, written by many people over thousands of years, is not a random selection of people and stories. Rabbi Jason Sobel connects the dots and helps us see with clarity what God intended.
