This book highlights the application of Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) for high-resolution surface analysis and characterization of materials. Over the years, SIMS instrumentation has dramatically changed since the earliest secondary ion mass spectrometers were first developed.
